Framed Part 2

Opening: Balto is running through a dark snow covered forest he runs into a clearing all of a sudden he sees dark shapes holding guns they point them at him Balto’s heart speeds up and he says ”I didn’t do it” the guns go off Balto falls down to the ground.

Balto awoke with a start from the dream he had, he got up and stretched his body in the warm sunlight. It had been at least a week since Jenna and Balto left Nome. He and Jenna had been living off of the animals in the forest Balto would go hunt while Jenna stayed behind to keep watch for any humans. Balto walked around and looked at where he and Jenna had been hiding for a week it was a hollow space at the bottom of a tree large enough for two dogs to squeeze into.

Balto looked at Jenna who was still sleeping Balto thought to himself “that was a strange dream I had I haven’t had a dream that vivid in a while” He turned from Jenna and walked to a stream where he could get a drink of water, all of a sudden he heard the snapping of twigs Balto jerked his head up to see where the noise came from. Balto looked around at the trees and saw three dark shapes moving among them. All of a sudden a shot rang out and hit a tree near Balto spending down a rain of bark, Balto backed up and turned and ran away he kept running back to his den where he nuzzled Jenna awake.

Jenna awoke to find Balto staring right into her eyes she says in a sleepy voice “what is it Balto” Balto replied “I saw humans they shot at me” Jenna stood up and said “are you all right” she looked at his body to see if he was bleeding he replied “yes I am fine” Jenna sighed in relief then said “what are you going to do” Balto replied “we must leave this forest or the humans will find me” Jenna nodded and they both left their den and the forest behind.

Balto and Jenna walked across the frozen tundra until they reached the town of White Mountain, Balto and Jenna entered the town carefully just to make sure that none of the humans took notice of Balto. Balto and Jenna noticed on one building that there was pictures of Balto with a reward of 5,000 dollars for his capture or kill. Balto gulped as he looked at the sign and said to Jenna “there has to be away in which I can prove my innocents” Jenna replied “how” Balto replied “I don’t know but I will find away” Balto and Jenna walked farther up the street where they found a wooden crate in a ally way they chose to stay there for the night.

The next morning Balto awoke to find that Jenna was gone he got up and looked around only to find her stealing a piece of meat from the butchers shop, she watched as he approached her Balto says “I thought something bad had happened to you" she try speaking but her voice came out all garbled because of the piece of meat in her mouth, she lead Balto back to their crate where she dropped the meat and said “I just went to get some breakfast” he nuzzled her and said “I love you” she said the same.

Later that day Balto and Jenna were taking a stroll along a ally way when all of a sudden they heard a scream Balto’s ears perked up and he said “what was that” Jenna replied “I dunno” Balto and Jenna walked alittle farther up the ally when they saw a large wolf cornering a little girl. Balto pounced on the wolf and it threw him off Balto landed in the snow with a thud, Balto got up and faced the wolf the wolf said “so you’re the one they are blaming my killings on” Balto looked at the wolf all of a sudden his heart beat sped up every bit of hatred for this wolf flowed through his veins. Balto screamed at the wolf saying “It’s your fault that the humans chase me it’s your fault my son is dead it is ALL YOUR FAULT” Balto lunged at the wolf but the wolf swiped him aside, the wolf lunged at the little girl but Balto bit it in the side drawing blood as he did so. The wolf staggered and fell to the ground Balto let go of the wolf his fur was standing on end he growled the wolf said “you shouldn’t have done that now you will die” the wolf pounced on Balto knocking Balto to the ground the wolf grabbed ahold of Balto’s throat and started to bit down hard. Balto felt the wolfs jaws penetrate his throat he tried to squirm his way out of the wolfs jaws but couldn’t he thought to himself “no this cannot end this way I have a family” Jenna, Aleu and Kodi flashed through his mind “I don’t want to die” Balto could feel his heart beating slowly he couldn’t feel his limbs anymore he could feel the life draining from his body, he coughed up blood but he held on for dear life then everything went black.

Balto opened his eyes to find he was standing in a pitch black place then a bright light burst forth and Balto felt the warmth of the light envelope him. He watched as a white wolf spoke to him “my son go back” Balto replied “but I died didn’t I” the wolf replied “no you didn’t you are as of now out of your body see for yourself” Balto watched as a thing like a television screen appear before him, he saw his body laying on the ground bleeding heavily but he noticed he was breathing slowly he watched Jenna standing over him saying “Balto can you hear me” his body gave no response.

Balto looked at his mother and said “how is this possible” she replied “you have a strong heart my son it will not give up on you” Balto hears the sound of a heart beat the white wolf says “goodbye my son” Balto says “mother no” there is a flash of light. Balto hears a voice saying “Balto can you hear me” Balto tries to see who it is but his vision is all blurry then everything comes back into focus he sees Jenna starring into his eyes he says “yes I can hear you” she nuzzles him and says “I thought I lost you” he replied “you didn’t” all of a sudden Balto hears a maniacal laugh he gets up and sees the wolf standing there laughing the wolf says “damn I thought I had killed you oh well you won’t be so lucky next time” the wolf lunges at Balto but he quickly gets out of the way. The wolf hits the ground and gets up looking at Balto he lunges again Balto gets out of the way but the wolfs paw scrapes his chest causing it to bleed Balto thought “I feel so weak I lost to much blood” the wolf lunged again and caught Balto off guard he pinned Balto to the ground and said “now you will leave this world” Balto could see himself reflect in the wolfs fiery eyes he thought “no I will not die like this” he tried to move but the wolf pinned him harder to the ground the wolf says “good bye stinking mutt” Balto closed his eyes and waited to die but just as the wolf was going to kill him Jenna knocked the wolf off of Balto saying “leave him alone” the wolf hit a garbage can and got up saying “fine both of you will die’ just as he said that humans appeared.

The little girl who the wolf tried to kill escaped and told the adults what had happened and Balto wasn’t to blame for the sled dog killing. The humans looked from Balto on the ground to the wolf standing near the garbage cans one of the humans says “no wonder we thought it was Balto, the wolf and him look the same” the other humans nodded the wolf looked at them and charged at them one of the humans fired his gun and it hit the wolf in the neck but the wolf kept going the other humans unleashed a volley of gun fire the wolf fell dead to the ground. Balto lay there he watched as the humans gathered around him saying “hang on boy” then Baltos vision went black.

Balto awoke he was in a hospital he looked at Jenna who was laying next to him he licked her she awoke and stared into his warm brown eyes saying “Balto” he nodded he replied “where am I” he looked around at his surrounding then back at Jenna, she says “you’re in the human hospital” he says “how did I get here “ she replied “the humans put you in a automobile when we arrived here they carried you into the hospital the doctor said your body was almost drained completely of blood so they did a blood transfusion” Balto said “they did who’s blood did they use” she replied “mine” he nuzzled her. Later that day the humans came in and saw that Balto was awake one of them said “hey everyone he is awake” then all of a sudden many humans came running into the room one of them said “I am sorry boy that I shot at you” Balto saw it was the human that shot the bullet at Balto and instead of it hitting him it hit Kodi, balto licked his hand then the human said “which reminds me hey mitch bring in the other dog” one of the humans walked out of the rooms and let in the other dog Balto saw that it was Kodi.

Balto got up off the bed and ran to Kodi and nuzzled him saying “how is this possible” Kodi looked into his fathers eyes and said “when the humans chased you after I was shot one of the humans brought me here and they fixed the wound on my body” Balto looked into Kodi eyes and nuzzled him again Balto heard someone approach from behind him and saw that it was Jenna she said “lets go home” Balto nodded and barked happily.

Balto, Jenna and Kodi walked out of the hospital and towards home and towards a new life.
