Kidnapped
A mother wolf nurses her only son in a small den. The pup has not yet opened his eyes but he was getting there. The father nuzzled the mother.
“Oh, Adolpha.” He whispered “He’s so beautiful.”
“That’s right B.J. he is.” Adolpha smiled. “Don’t forget we still need to name him.”
“Your right.” B.J. said “How about Broady?”
“I like Kib.” Adolpha replied. The two thought for a second
“Bandit.” They both said.
“Kind of ridiculous.” Adolpha laughed
“What?”
“Five weeks and we just now named our child.” She chuckled and looked down at her pup. “Look.” She whispered
The pup slowly opened one eye then the other revealing two blue eyes.
“Just like his father.” Adolpha licked B.J.
“Hello Bandit.” She said as she looked down at her pup. “I’m your mommy.”
“And I’m your father.” B.J. smiled. The pup yipped with joy. Adolpha smiled and licked her son.
“I’ll never let anything happed to you.” She started “I promise.”
3 weeks later
A two month old pup ran around the pack laughing playfully. Dodging out of the way of other pack members. He looked behind him and continued running. Soon he ran into the Alpha male. The pup fell back in the spring melting now. The alpha male looked at him confusingly.
The pup got up and shook off the snow.
“Oh, sorry Alpha.” The pup said as he smiled and folded his ears.
The alpha male sighed happily “It’s ok Bandit.”
“Come let me walk you to your den.” He said and started walking.
“You know two years ago your mother was your age and just like you.” The alpha said.
Bandit didn’t reply all he did was ponder. His little legs tried to keep up with the adult’s longer legs.
“What about dad?” he asked
“You know, I don’t know that much about your father.” The alpha replied
When they got to the den Adolpha looked shocked
“Oh my gosh!” she exclaimed she got up and quickly trotted over to them.
“Is he in trouble?” she asked then leaned down and looked at her son “What did you do?”
“It’s ok Adolpha.” The alpha said. She sighed with relief.
“I’m sorry, I’m trying my hardest with this mother thing.” She said
“Don’t worry, no damaged was caused he’ll be fine.” The Alpha laughed
Adolpha smirked “Thanks for bringing him to me.”
“No problem.” The alpha said and left. Adolpha picked Bandit up in her jaws. And took him over to where she was laying. She sat him down and lay down beside him.
“Bandit I thought I told you to stay close while your father and the other were out hunting.” She said.
Bandit sat up “But mom I was just having some fun.”
“I know, I know, but Bandit it can only go so far.” She started “Having the alpha bring you to me is not exactly good.”
“But, mom all the other pups are mean to me and I have to find something to do for fun.”
“Oh, Bandit I know.” Adolpha said sympathetically she licked his head once. “But be careful ok?”
Bandit shook his head “Ok.” He smiled. The two heard a howl.
“Come on your father and the other hunters killed something.” Adolpha picked Bandit up and started walking.
“Mom?” he asked “Do you think I can catch up?”
Adolpha put her son down “ok.” She said and trotted off but stayed within his site. Bandit walked out of the den and knocked over by another wolf pup and his friends.
“You snooze you loose.” The pup called to Bandit. Bandit got up and ran after them. He was always slower than the other pups. He was the last on to get to the moose. Since the pack was so big he had to fight his way through.
CHAPTER 2
After a while it was only Bandit and the other four pups.
“Hey Bandit!” the top pup called
“What?” Bandit barked. The top pup stepped up.
"Do you know about your father's past?" another wolf pup barked at Bandit.
"I know he's from here." Bandit replied. The pup started circling Bandit and stopped in front of him.
"No he's not."
"Yes, he is." Bandit argued
"Well my mother Egypt, told me that he was from another pack." The pup spat. "And everyone knows it’s shameful for two different pack members to have a pup." The pup started circling Bandit again.
"That’s not true!" Bandit snarled "You’re lying!"
"Oh, am I?" The pup started "If is it because you dint want to face the fact that you and your father are a disgrace to this pack?!"
"Knock it off!" Bandit snarled and pounced on the pup. The two pups fought as the other pups ran for the Alpha female.
Bandit stood over his enemy.
"Take that back!" he snarled
“No!” the pup barked and pushed himself over Bandit.
“What’s going on here?!” the alpha asked. The pups stood behind him. The pup looked at her innocently and backed off.
“Nothing.” He yipped. Bandit rolled his eyes.
“Well common.” The alpha said. “It looks like rain.”
Ptff. Bandit thought I’m not gonna melt because of rain. Bandit thought of a place where he had been wanting to go since he was a very young pup. The glaciers… It was said that if you saw an ice glacier you could see the light reflecting off of it and see lights like the aurora borealis’s. His mother told him about it.
Bandit snuck away from the pack and ran to the beach.
He got there and saw large chunks of ice floating around. Bandit hopped of one then to the next.
Good thing their so close together. Bandit thought.
Little did he know that danger lurked below the ice. Bandit continued hopping from ice sheet to ice sheet.
An orca swam into the shallows and spotted Bandit’s shadow. The over sized dolphin followed the pup’s reflection.
CHAPTER 3
Bandit stopped in front of an ice glacier and saw the sun’s light reflecting off of it.
“Whoa.” Bandit gasped and walked forward.
“Bandit!” He heard his father’s voice call “Bandit what are you doing out there? Get back to shore!”
Bandit folded his ears back and crept over to his father. But before his eyes the orca jumped out of the water.
“Bandit!” B.J. called and started running onto the ice.
“Dad!” Bandit called. He was pinned up against the glacier. The orca went back under the water. He looked around for an opening luckily he found one. He ran into the glacier and looked at his feet. The orca was swimming right under him.
“Dad!” Bandit called again. He was so deep in the ice I don’t think he could be heard. “Dad!” His voice echoed thought out the ice.
“Hold on son.” B.J. whispered. B.J. was running as fast as he could. He got to the glacier and saw the huge hole in the ice.
“Bandit?” He questioned “Bandit!” He ran into the glacier and searched for his son. He saw the orca below.
“Not this time.” He whispered to the orca. He was deep in the glacier.
“Bandit?”
“Dad!” Bandit called as he ran to his dad. His dad looked below, there was the orca getting read to break though the ice. B.J. picked his son up in his jaws and started running right before the orca bursted thought the ice.
The ice was now starting to collapse. Running faster they made it through. But it was not over the orca’s fin came above the water. B.J. began running to shore. The orca was swimming fast than he could run. B.J’s heart pounded and his legs cramped up.
Bandit could feel him panting. B.J. jumped to shore and tumbled in the sand. Bandit flew out of his jaws and rolled in the sand as well.
Bandit walked up to his dad. B.J. struggled to his all four paws.
“What do you think you were doing?!” B.J. panted a scold. Bandit opened his mouth to talk.
“No wait let me answer that, you weren’t thinking.”
“I’m sorry dad.”
“I don’t think sorry is going to cut it.” B.J. started “You could have been killed! Do you know bad that would have been?!”
The two month old pup opened his jaws to talk again.
“Do you?!”
Bandit’s eyes clogged up with tears. “I-I’m sorry dad.” He said in a sad squeaky voice.
“Save it.” B.J. said, picked up his son and walked to the pack.
CHAPTER 4
“There you two are where have you been.” Adolpha asked worriedly. B.J. put Bandit on the den floor and nuzzled his mate.
“I’ll tell you later.”
“Ok.”
Bandit curled up in a ball and lay down in the den corner. Spring rain came that afternoon, it started out as a mist then to a shower. The rain made the den humid and sticky Bandit often got up and shook off some of the grass that made the den floor.
The next morning B.J. woke Bandit up early.
“Come on son I have something to show you.”
“What.”
“You’ll see.”
They came to a ledge, B.J. sat down and Bandit sat next to him.
“What now?”
“Just look.”
Bandit squinted his eyes real fast.
“I don’t see anything…” Bandit said. B.J. laughed.
“I come up here to think.”
Bandit changed the
