It was a stormy night, and wolf pups were born in a wolves den. The alpha female howled with delight as her three little bundles of fur plopped and rolled around the den. The alpha male nudged the female and licked a shiny object on one of their pups. The pup’s eyes opened and they were sky blue. When it stood up it showed its butterfly wings!!! “Rose…we have a very special daughter,” gasped the alpha male to his mate. The alpha female turned her head around to see and said, “My word, Hunter! She is special indeed let’s name her Kikko.” The two others were named Topaz and Forrest Emerald. As the pups grew, they loved to chase butterflies and cherry blossoms in the spring. One day, when Rose and Hunter went out Hunting, they came across a pack of Dark wolves (Wolves that are created by evil and darkness.) and were devoured by them. The alpha wolf came up to the dead bodies and devoured their hearts. Meanwhile, Topaz, Forrest Emerald, and Kikko were practicing their quarry leap with a dead mouse. “Topaz, where is mom and dad? Shouldn’t they be back by now?” asked Kikko, pouncing on a live mouse. Topaz just ate the dead mouse and lied down. Kikko chomped on the mouse she caught. She was wondering whose howls circled her den. Because when she was born, she heard howls outside her den. Could it have been another wolf? “Hmm…that settles it! I’m going away from here!” cried Kikko, tears streaming down her furry cheeks. “What are you talking about?!” asked Topaz, surprised.

“Our mother and father most likely got killed or just abandoned us!!!” exclaimed Kikko, tears running down her cheeks like crazy. Kikko then rushed away from her brother and sister; soon she came to a waterfall and was just about to fling herself over when a voice said, “Stop.” Kikko looked back saw a beautiful red and blue wolf with a red diamond birthmark on the middle of his forehead. “My name is Thornz….and don’t you throw yourself over the waterfall okay?” the wolf replied, stepping closer. (Kikko was still only two months old.) When Thornz got very close, Kikko saw that he had snow white angel wings. “U-um, but how am I going to survive?” Kikko asked warily, tears slowing down to a halt. “I will raise you Kikko.” He replied, picking her up by the scruff. Thornz then ran into his den quickly because it was going to rain and hail. Inside Shiro’s den, it was roomy and straw covered the floor. Shiro turned a few times, lied down, and dropped Kikko. “I know your name when I went for a hunt I heard that pups were born so I hurried and heard them name you Kikko.Then I howled with delight and left. Kikko snuggled beside Thornz and saw another wolf sleeping beside him. “Who is she?” asked Kikko. Thornz replied, “That my mate, Sapphire Blue.” Then he went to sleep. Kikko remembered her butterfly wings. “They must have abandoned me because of my wings…”she said in sorrow. Then, she too fell asleep of the rain’s soothing sound.

 

 

 

Chapter 2: The Dark Wolf’s Error

 

Meanwhile, the Dark wolves pack was still looking for more wolf flesh. “Hey! Zenius!!” called the alpha female. “We have six new members!” Surely enough, six little fur balls were sleeping beside their mother. They all already had fur and they could open their little red eyes. And they each had a pair of bat wings. But suddenly, one little fur ball opened his eyes and they were neon green! He didn’t have black sooty fur! He had brown colored fur! But, he still had huge bat wings. “Oh my lord! This musn’t be my baby!” gasped the alpha female. Zenius and the alpha female scurried around in circles. “Get away from here normal wolf!” snarled the pup’s mother. Zenius growled at his son and the pup ran away into the forest. He was then lifted by the scruff of his neck and taken to a den that was covered with soft dirt and dead grass. “You can stay here little one.” said a voice. When he was dropped he looked around and saw a red wolf mix artic with angel wings. “My name is Forrest Emerald. And please keep the angel wings a secret.” Replied the wolf, smiling. The little cub soon fell asleep beside Forrest Emerald and listened to the rain and hail.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chapter 3: The Hunt

 

Kikko was awakened by a long howl and the morning light. As she went outside, Thornz was preparing for a hunt. “Come Kikko, its time you learn to hunt, just watch me while I hunt some elk okay?” asked Thornz. Kikko nodded and followed him to a herd of grazing elk. They were prancing on the open meadow of snow and there were five elk calves. “Um, so are you going to hunt down the calves?” asked Kikko, nervously. Thornz nodded and crept towards the herd beside Sapphire Blue. The elks saw them and formed a circle around the five calves. Shiro rushed toward the male elk and dodged a horn attack. He then got kicked and crashed onto Kikko. “Ow! Um, are you sure this ice is safe place to hunt on?” asked Kikko, shoving Thornz off. (Beside the meadow was a big patch of dangerous looking ice.)Thornz didn’t hear her nor did see the patch of ice. He ran towards the patch of ice and turned back to do comeback attack. “Its hopeless, they won’t budge!” howled Sapphire blue biting an elk’s foot. And that’s when the elk herd ran for the forest; they thought that Thornz was letting them go. But, Thornz darted after them and he totally forgot about the patch if ice. When he set foot on it, it gave way to icy cold water and he fell in! As he struggled to get to the surface, a water weed grasped his paw and refused to let go. As he reached down to free himself, another weed wrapped around his neck. He became worried. Kikko rushed to the ice and dived in. She saw Thornz, snapped the weeds and flew him out of the water.

Thornz then coughed and gagged. “Kikko…thank you,” He gasped. “We might have to eat mice today.” smiled Kikko. “Do not worry! We have elk meat!” cried Sapphire Blue dragging a dead elk calf. So they gobbled the meat down and returned to the den.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chapter 4: Unexpected

 

A shadow crossed over the ground. The Dark wolves were hunting for more flesh. They only found a dead baby squirrel. They gobbled it up and were just about leave when a ray of light shot through the clouds and a wolf with snowy white angel wings and fur flew down in front of the alpha male dark wolf. “Zenius. Please stop hunting down wolves like what you did with Rose and Hunter.” The White wolf commanded, with a slight growl. “Oh Atez! You know the powers of darkness are too powerful for stupid heavenly powers,” Replied Zenius, yawning and stretching. Atez growled and pounced on Zenius, Zenius snarled and ripped off Atez’s right ear and also bit into his left shoulder. They fought a bloody battle until Atez fell on the ground, stiff. Zenius thought he was dead so he trotted proudly away. But, Atez flew up back into the ray of light. “I hope Kikko is alright…”said Atez. Meanwhile, Kikko woke up at the sound an excited Thornz. “Kikko! Sapphire Blue had eleven pups!” he blabbered excitedly. He ran over to Sapphire Blue lying beside eleven balls of fur! One was black, two were brown, five were white, and three were brown mix black. “I named the black one blackie, the white ones Angel, Midback, powder snow, Chibiwolf and Maru. The brown ones Brownie and Redburn. And the black mix brown ones Puffs, Choco Wolfie, and Timber,” explained Sapphire Blue. Kikko howled and licked Choco Wolfie, which tumbled over to Kikko suddenly, he opened his eyes!

The right one was silver and left one was violet! Kikko gasped, but she wasn’t surprised when she saw the hidden firefly wings. “Oh my god! Firefly wings!? Silver and violet eyes?!” cried Sapphire Blue. “Mommy,” said Choco Wolfie, brushing against Kikko’s fur. “May I call him Leftshoulder?” asked Kikko, licking the pup. “Sure Kikko,”said Sapphire Blue, smiling. “Kikko, you can make Leftshoulder your child you know.” Answered Thornz. Sapphire Blue nodded and replied, “Kikko.That pup loves you, take him.” Kikko looked shocked and then said, “Alright. I’ll take him.” Leftshoulder fell asleep next to Kikko. And Kikko lied down to sleep too. “Sapphire Blue? I think Atez is back from heaven,” whispered Thornz. “Atez? He’s back? And If he is back then he came here to look for Kikko,” replied Sapphire Blue. They both looked at Kikko, who was sleeping beside Leftshoulder. “Should we tell her Thornz?” asked Sapphire Blue, licking Angel. He replied, “Not yet, until she is at least a few months old.” A few months later, Kikko and her wings grew and Thornz found a butterfly necklace, “Kikko! I have a present for you!” he yelled. When she came, he placed the necklace on her. “Thanks Thornz, I just hafta go back to Left shoulder. See ya!” she replied. Left shoulder was now eight months old and acted like a little brother. Kikko gave Leftshoulder three ripped rubber bands she found.
