It was a warm summer day, and two wolves named Aero  and Krystal  were watching their 7 week old pups proudly. One pup was pure white, another was mahogany with brown markings, another was black with brown markings, another was brown with yellow and dark brown markings, and the final one was white with black markings. Areo smiled proudly down at the pups and day dreamed of precious moments in the future.

He was disturbed by a loud shot that rang through the forest. His smile turned into a frown and said to Krystal , "I will investigate the sound, Krystal." He then ran towards the noise and dissapeared in the forest. Domino, (the black and white one.) worried for her father and was surprised by another shot and a yelp. She heard her father running rapidly past her mother and yelling, "Its man! They are back!" He had a tranquilizer on his left shoulder and was beggining to slow down and he crashed to the ground, asleep. Krystal showed horror in her eyes and began to see men with tranquilizers and soon felt a sharp pain on her leg and fell asleep too.

The pups were yelping and howling, and Domino heard footsteps and the next thing she new, she was cramped in a cage, recieved a blow from a club, and shipped to Nome. Her mother and father were sent to a faraway game reserve, while she and her brother's and sisters, were sent to a Nome dog shop. When thay arrived, Domino was asleep and so were her siblings. She didn't remmember a thing when she woke up and didn't know who her parents were...A few months later, "C'mon guys! We can beat them!" Domino yelled at her teamates. They were five yards away from the finnish line and were racing against the Lowdogs team. Domino gave a leap and tugged her team foward, but Monochrome,(the Lowdog's lead dog.) ran ahead of her. Suddenly, Lecri, the Lowdog's wheel dog,  sat down to rest and Monochrome was tugged back.(Lecri is a Malamute, who weighs 245 pounds.)

Domino ran across the finnish line and won the race, she stuck her tounge out at Monochrome and he growled at her. "We did it! We actually beat them!" howled Sherbert, the team's number two lead dog. Domino panted as her musher clpped off the reins from her. She trotted to the boileroom and drank her water, Christmas,(Who is the white one and Domino's sister.) walked next to Domino and lapped up her water. "So, any more dreams of our parent's?" She asked Domino when she finished her water. "Nope. But, I do recall a voice that keeps repeating the names, Aero  and Krystal." Answered Domino. "Maybe they could be our parent's names?" protested Christmas, while the other dogs came in. "Shh! The team is here!" whispered Domino, to Christmas. "Hey Domino! You won that race by a little accident! Your a lucky one!" laughed Sherbert, wagging his tail. Domino snarled a little, but just walked outside.

I wonder why I can't remmber who or what my parents were..of course they must be dogs or wolves..She thought, sitting down. Domino heard some howls and yips in the night, so she answered to them by howling. "But, I wonder...if my musher's daughter adopted me..then I must be a dog...why would they adopt a wolf?" Domino asked herself, walking home. On the way, she caught a familiar scent of a canine she turned her head to the right and saw Christmas walking towads her. "Hi sis, I was just checking on Choco(the brown one with yellow markings) you know how he gets mischevious when his owners aren't around." she laughed. Domino smiled, but said nothing and went through the doggy door. Christmas sighed and followed her in.(Christmas lives with Domino.) Christmas raided the beef jerky bag and offered some to Domino, she refused and walked to her bed. "Whats wrong with you? You were happy about the race and now...sad." Christmas said, gulping down the beef jerky. "Its just that..what if we are wolves and not dogs? And what happened to our parents?" Domino replied,  curling up. Christmas just slinked to her bed and tried to go to sleep, Domino looked over and sighed, then soon fell asleep.

The next morning, Domino scavenged the snowy forest from afar, with Apache. "Apache...do you think we should try and go for the wild life? It seems much more exciting and risky over there." she said, looking to her brother. Apache smiled and responded, "Domino, we may be dogs so it could be tough for us to survive out there..." Domino looked at her brother and respondsed, " But, what if we are wolves? Then we can survive!" Apache growled at this and ran back into town. Domino watched her brother leave and sighed, "Maybe Noche will come with me..."

When she arrived at his owner's house, "NOCHE!!!Are you there?!!" she screamed. Noche came out of the doggy door with sleepy eyes. "What is it sis?" he yawned, strecthing. "Do ya wanna come to the forest with me?" she replied, wagging her tail. Noche's eyes bulged and he tucked his tail, "Err..why? Theres all kinds of dangerous things in there!!" Domino's heart sank, she hoped he would come, but she wasn't gonna give up! "Noche...you don't want to make me mad..do you?!" she snarled, her hairs rising. Noche was shocked and staggerd backward. "DO YOU?!" She growled, pinning him down. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I don't want to get you mad!" he yelped. "Good. We will ask Choco if he wants to come." she said cheerfully, walking towards the outskirts of town. Noche sighed and thought, How do I get myself into these things...he followed Domino.

Inside Choco's house, "Oh my god!!! I will love to come!!" Choco howled, jumping all over the room. Domino smiled and whispered to Noche, "I knew he would come since he likes adventures so much." Noche shivered and said, "But, I'm quite squeamish about adventures.." Domino rolled her eyes and turned to Choco. "So, is Apache and Christmas gonna come?" he said, sitting down. "I will make sure Apache comes..and I'm sure Christmas will join us if we ALL are going." Domino responded. As they left Domino had these words in her mind, Calm down Domino, this is just so we can find out who are parents are..not to live in the wilderness..but..what is this yearning stirring inside me?! (From wolf's rain manga!XD)"Domino? You okay?" asked Choco. "Huh? Oh, yeah..I;m fine." she responded, lifting up her head and smiling. When they came to Christmas's house, "Um..okay, sure!" she said cheerfully. Domino grinned and felt nervous, was she REALLY going to go out? So she paid no more attention and  ran towards the woods, awaiting her adventure.
