It was a cold and stormy night

It was a cold and stormy night. Alue shuddered at the fact that her pack was lost. They were on their yearly wolf hunt in the strange wilderness. Thanks to the carelessness of the team leader Aurora, a female version of Steele, they were starving, cold, and left to a blizzard. Aurora spun them in circles. Alue knew she could get them back home for she was part husky and was very smart. But Aurora stuck to her name as the great wolf. “Aurora, let me help. I know the way.” “Hah! You lead me home? I’ve never heard of such a childish plan. Maybe it would be best if you got out of my way!” Alue was stunned. “Um excuse me ma’am”, said a rather petite wolf named Pablo. “Maybe Alue does, in fact, know the way.” “Oh you do? Well then maybe you should just go with her!” Wolves nodded and walked over to Alue. Alue said to Aurora, “now who is the leader?” Alue barked as a signal for them to move out. And one by one they left. Although one stayed behind, it was the mean Herman. He was a wolf if you had ever seen one. He had bulging muscles and almost always picked fights with other wolves. He was always trying to impress the lady wolves. Aurora had the least bit of love for him. Herman always liked Aurora the best so it was unfortunate for him. Herman was Russian so he could not speak English very well. “Listen up Herman! Just because we are alone does not mean I you have power. I am still the leader and you will treat me like one. So you stay out of my way and I’ll stay out of yours.” It was Herman’s chance to talk. But when he opened his mouth, no words came out. Normally he never had this problem with women wolfs but now he was in love for the first time in his life. He said nothing and they trudged on. Meanwhile, Alue was hungry and had little energy left. She looked very skinny and ill. She finally just collapsed into the snow. She didn’t want to let her team down so used all the strength she had to pull her self back up. “Ok, let’s continue.” She smelt the bittersweet air. Snow was falling. She couldn’t smell anything but then she picked up a scent. She closed her eyes and followed her nose. Then she bumped into some fur. She opened her eyes to be staring at the most beautiful wolf ever. It was a male wolf. He spoke in a deep voice. “Looking for something?” “Oh sorry, I just need to lead my pack home and thought I had a scent which I actually did, because you were it and I’ll be quiet now.” She chuckled a little and relized she was making a complete fool out of herself. “Well well, it seems like you could use some assistence. Would I be a bother to help you and your…friends?” “Oh that would be an honer to work behind you, I mean with you.” “Then we better be on our way.” “Oh sir, I never did catch your name?” “My friends call me Terror.” “Or that is a lovely name”, said Alue, not relizing how truly terrifying it was.” “And yours?” “Alue, daughter of Balto and Jenna.” Terror grunted and moved on. Alue watched his paws dig into the earth. As her paws followed she realized his paws were massive. “So where are you looking to go to?” “Oh I need to get back to the Cliffs.” “Oh a weary traveler, I see…” They walked and walked. “Hey Alue,” said Clea, “who’s this bozo?” “Clea!, don’t say that! He is utterly gourgeous.” “Oh ya, utterly stupid.” Alue gave Clea a glare as if saving the lecture for some other time. Thank goodness for Clea. Herman and Aurora had not gotten very far. But far none the less. “Herman come! We are going the wrong way you fool!” They turned around. After walking for a bit longer they ran into Terror and Alue. “Oh Alue so glad you chose to pick up the pace”, said Aurora sarcasticly. “And who is this fine fox?” “This is Terror and I don’t think that is any of your beeswax!” “Oh getting a little feisty there sweetheart, why don’t you calm down before you “break a nail” or something “drastic.” “Leave her alone!” Terror suddenly jumped in the conversation. Then Herman spoke “Hey big shot let me show you my moves.” Before Herman could speak again Terror pounced on him and started biting him. Alues team got excited with watching the fight. “Go Herman!” “No, go Terror!” Then the whole pack was fighting against eachother. “HERMAN! COME! We have no time to mess with these fools!” Being loyal to his love he surrendered to Terror. He crept away from the crowd with gashes in his stomach and face. “Lets go my love” Aurora was disgusted, though she kept it to herself. She felt bad for Herman. He was so wimpy it was sad. Alue apologized to Terror and started licking his wounds. “Excuse me young lady but don’t you think a grown wolf can take care of himself?” And he nudged Alue of with his snout. They kept going. After and hour they were almost their and Alue reconizged the area. “So this is your stop”, said Terror. “Terror, thankyou so much for your help. We would have never made it without you.” “No problem. Just howl if you ever need me. You know where I will be.” He walked off. He didn’t show it, but you could tell he would miss Alue. Aurora never made it back. Although, Herman did. He wouldn’t speak. It was almost as if he were dead. He was dirty and wet. This disappointed the girls greatly. Alue expected Aurora fell in a freezing river. But that may have been a good thing.
