Part Two; Maiyun and Sammik

Sammik snarled savagely at the bear, baring his small teeth at the huge grizzly that stood before them. Maiyun bared her teeth as well, but couldn't help feeling the terror that was shooting through her body like a bullet. The bear got back down on all fours and swiped his huge paw at the pups.

" Maiyun, Run!" Sammik yelled to his sister snarling fiercely.

" Yeah, and leave you here?"

The bear was slowly walking towards Sammik, cornering him. Soon, he was trapped. Maiyun raced at the bear and grabbed his hind leg. He swirled around giving her brother a chance to get out of the way. The bears claws raked in Maiyun. She yelped with pain as her side streamed with blood. Sammik went in a rage and went for the bears throat, but his small teeth and the bear's thick fur he couldn't expect to kill him. His small bite barely shed blood. Suddenly, as quick as the bear came he retreated exactly where he came out.

The pups stood there panting. Maiyun whimpered slightly and turned her head to look at her bleeding side.

" You ok?" Sammik asked looking at her then her wound

She didn't speak for a moment then gazed at something else.

"Yeah, I'm fine" still not looking at him.

"C'mon, let's just get out of here"

The pups survived, they survived spring, summer, fall and winter. Without finding a trace of the pack. It was a mystery what happened to them, but they never stopped looking. They were full grown wolves now. Two years old. They were well fed and healthy despite not having a pack.

" You ready?"

"I'm ready"

"Go!"

The elk turned his head and saw the 150 pound wolves barreling to her. She bolted but she felt a pain in her back leg where Maiyun held on tightly.

" Sammik, Will you hurry up?"

" Alright, hold up"

He ran in front of the elk and grabbed her throat.

" Just don't repeat last time"

" I'm not look I got her throat"

"Well, you don't have it very good"

" I do too, What are you blind?"

"No, but as you can see, she's pulling away"

"Fine, then I'll get the back, you get the throat"

"Fine by me"

She raced to the elks head and grabbed on to her throat and pulled. The elk stumbled and her leg's were tangling up until she fell rolling in a huge heap.

"ok Sammik, I'm doing you the honors of finishing her off"

He walked over to the head of the deer and stared into her eyes. She looked up at him. He suddenly lowered his head.

"Sammik!"

"What?"

"Do it already, I'm starving"

"Alright"

He grabbed her throat in her jaws and looked into her eyes again. Sammik suddenly let go.

"You know we don't have to kill her?"

" Sammik, we have to kill to eat"

"When are you going to learn that?"

" I'm not afraid to, I just don't like to"

"Well, you're gonna have to start liking too"

"ok now do it now"

"I can't"

"Sammik!"

"I can't, cause she's gone!"

The grass was flat where the elk had layed and she was nowhere to be found. A growl rumbled in Maiyun's throat. She looked at him then tackled him.

"That is it!"

"You are on your own!"

"This was your last chance Sammik and you blew it"

"oh c'mon, I'll do better next time"

"There will not be a next time!"

"Sammik, I never thought I'd say this but Goodbye!" She turned and raced off.

"Maiyun!"

"You know you can't hunt alone"

"You're gonna need me"

At first Sammik was almost joking but he realized for once his sister was serious.
