A Tale of Sisters

Prologue

A mother wolf nursed her litter of four in a small den of the snowy wilderness. The most of the pack came home from hunting. The Mother told her young pups to not follow her out of the den.

She crawled out of the den and looked to one particular wolf. Her mate. Most of the pack went to their mates and pups before eating. The omegas tried to scramble their way in.

After looking from her den she started to walk but was stopped in her tracks by one of the hunters.

“Excuse me.” She gasped

“I can’t let you go any further.”

“Why not?”

“Every mother should stay near their-” He was cut off

“Well who is going to find my mate?”

“Your mate is...” He hesitated “On the brink of death.”

Her jaw opened in shock.

“Were is he?” She asked while trying to hold her tears back.

“Over here.” He took her to a wounded wolf. He had four huge deep gashes all over his body. They were not deep enough to kill him instantly. But they were deep enough to make him bleed to death.

The mother was sobbing by this point. She walked up to her mate slowly.

“Hey, sweetie.” She said softly. She lay down in front of him

“I love you.” He muttered

“I love you to.” She licked him on the cheek. The other wolf came up and put his paw on her shoulder.

“C’mon”

“Let go of me!” She snarled. The wolf backed up. “I want to be with my mate.”

“He’s gone.” The wolf said

“I know.” The mother turned her head and saw one of her pups looking at them from behind a tree. The pup was white with one brown ear and one brown paw. She also had black lines coming from the back of her eyes down to her shoulder.

The pup had a sad expression on her face.

“Tsunami.” The mother said softly. Tsunami ran off to the den.

“Tsunami!” She heard her mother yell.

CHAPTER 1 Storm

“Where’s Tsunami?” Adolpha asked while scratching an itch.

“I don’t know.” I said. I was Storm and I looked like Tsunami but I was entirely white except for the black line on each eye.

Adolpha Had black tips on her tail and ears and the markings on her eyes almost looked like the sketchers logo with a spot in between that marking and her eye.

Aniu, our youngest sister was too young to talk but she looked like me but had a couple of lines going vertical on the eye marking.

All of the sudden we heard a voice.

“Guy’s.” It said we looked over the entrance of the den and there was Tsunami, she was crying.

“What’s wrong Tsunami?” I asked

“Dads dead.”

Our jaws dropped. The world seemed darker to me. I walked up to Tsunami

“Are you sure? I mean he could just be wounded.” Tsunami shook her head.

“He’s dead.” I turned my head and looked at Aniu then to Adolpha. Adolpha had moved to a dark corner. She was curled up into a ball.

I walked up to her.

“Adolpha?” I asked “Adolpha, Its ok.” She didn’t reply. I looked at her eyes, they were slammed shut. I could tell she was trying not to cry but she was anyway.

Tears were rolling down my checks as well.

“Adolpha it’s ok to cry.” I said softly. She opened her eyes and looked up at me. I lay down beside her. Tsunami and Aniu both came over and lay down as well. We comforted each other all night. The next morning I woke up early. Mother wasn’t in the den. I walked over to the entrance. We were caved in!

“We’re trapped!” I shouted.

CHAPTER 2 Adolpha

I Heard Storm shout we ‘we’re trapped’ I got up immediately. I got up and ran to her.

“We are!” I said

“It’s probably not to think; let’s try to break through.” Tsunami said

“That’s impossible we’re only eight weeks old.” I said

“Yes, but we might be able get threw if we work together.” Tsunami said.

We just looked at her confused. Tsunami backed up then ran up and pushed the dirt with her paws. We helped her. Finally we broke threw but no one was around but for four wolves from our pack.

Blood was every where and Mom was no where to be found. The wolves walked up to us.

“You pups are alive!” one of them exclaimed. Err, duh. Was what was going threw my head.

“Do you know were Mom is?” Aniu asked, they just lowered their heads. “C’mon say your good byes pups.” One of them said

“Where are we going?” Storm asked

“There is no time to explain just hurry.”

“Ok, Storm, Aniu and Adolpha no matter what happens we wont forget each other. Right?” we shook our heads. “And we will always no matter what try to find each other. Right?” We nodded our heads. There was a roar and branches cracked. Each wolf picked one of us up and took off in different directions.

“Goodbye.” I whispered. I truly didn’t know weather I or my sisters would make it to a safe place alive. What if I was going to be the last one standing? What if I would never see them again?

I shook my head thoughts like that shouldn’t be running threw my head. But still I wondered. After hours of traveling we stopped by a near by river close to town. About a mile away is what my guardian said.

He made a den big enough for the both of us. I crawled in and rested my head.

“Where’d you go?” I whispered and fell asleep.

CHAPTER 3 Storm

1 ½ years later.

I crawled out of my den and lay down on the snow. I looked up to the sky and say a clump of clouds. The more I looked at them the more they looked my sisters. I missed them so but there was a feeling in me that I knew they were ok. Being about two years old now that feeling grew on me.

I saw clouds coming it looked like snow was coming. Like we needed more. I felt like exploring I looked at the den. All was good I could do walking around for a while.

I started walking into the forest. As I got deeper and deeper into it the more and more dangerous it got. I walked around for hours and finally came to a familiar spot. My home. I explored around my old territory. I found many skeletons from pack members.

Just then I heard a gun getting ready to shoot. I looked around and saw a hunter. I figured I could trick it and get it from behind. I walked off and began circling behind the trees. When I was behind the hunter I made my move.

I started at a slow trot then a fast run. It heard my footsteps and turned around. It fired at me countless times. To shots blew off chunks of my ear. I pounced on it and bit its neck.

It died in my jaws. I couldn’t believe what I had just done. I killed a human. I was both appalled and happy. There was no time to wash my muzzle off it was getting dark and I had to get home.

When I got to the den my adopted mother gasped.

“Hun what happened?” she asked. I saw my adopted sister come out and I didn’t want to frighten her.

“I had an accident.” I started “With a human.” I lowered my head.

“Oh my gosh sweetie are you ok.”

“Yes.” I said “Mom do you think my sisters are ok?” I asked

“Well yes their here.”

“No, no mom I mean my real sisters.”

“Storm I told you not to talk about them around your younger sisters.”

“Stormie do you have other sisters?” my adopted sister asked.

“No honey she doesn’t.” Mom said

“Mom!” I exclaimed she looked up at me. “Yes I do and I hate how you won’t let me talk about them!”

“Were your family.” My adopted mother said

I backed away.

“No your not” I said softly “They are, and if you wont allow me to talk about them then I don’t think I can stay with you.” I raised my voice.

“Storm think about what you’re saying.”

“No, I won’t this past year and a half you have expected me to just forget about them but I won’t.” I looked at my adopted sister. She was crying. Then I looked back at my adopted mom.

“Goodbye.” I said and ran towards town.

CHAPTER 4 Adolpha

I was walking in town with one of my good buds, Max. Max was a German shepherd dog and Australian cattle dog mix.

We were joking around with each other and having a great time. It was dark out so I hope we didn’t wake any one.

Max was a good guy I felt like I’ve known him all my life but truth be told I only knew him for a year.

“Hey, I have to show you something.” He told me

“Ok” I said. He began walking to an abandoned farm. The lights were on for some reason. He pushed the door open and let me go first. Then he walked in and shut the door.

“Now what.” I asked

“This.” He said I knew he meant the barn but I didn’t mind too much. We where up for a while talking and I started getting tired. Max seemed to study me and this made me uncomfortable. I looked away and the next thing I new was he had pounced on me playfully.

I laughed and he did too. I kecked him off and pounced on him. He looked shocked.

“I’m a
