room to where all the cadges are. The place was dark and smelly. The dogs were skinny and frightened. “Nah their too… runt-like” said Jack with a sigh.
“Hmm…” thought the baldy man as he looked at all the dogs. “Oh wait!” Shouted Jack as he raced to a cadge. “This one is perfect!” he said with a grin. Inside the cadge was a big dog. He has small pointy ears and a small stump for a tail. He is all black with a brown chest, brown paws and a brown muzzle. He was snarling loudly laying at the back of a cadge. “He’s called Rex” the man said with a smirk. He picked up a pointy stick and started poking Rex. Rex growled and jumped up at the bars of the cadge barking loudly.
Jack grinned. “I’ll take him!”
Falcon jumped up and looked over a fence and watched the horses trot around. He took a deep breath and sighed. He did not like killing many people, but he would if he has too.
Kenya was just laying next to Jenna. Both of them asleep.
“So what do you think you’re doing eh?” Shouted Jack.
The poor man that knows Falcon got caught steeling some bread at the village store. “I’m sorry!” he pleaded to Jack.
“Don’t give me excuses!” said Jack as he hit the man over the head. “What is your name?!” said Jack.
“I am called Cody" the poor man said. As he sighed. Jack smirked and glared at him. Rex was by his side snarling. “Well… Cody. Have you saw a wolf about?”
Cody’s eyes widened as he thought about Falcon. The one who gave him the sausages and the one who wears his green scarf. “You’re the one who gave him all of those scratches and blood dripping wounds!” Cody shouted.
“Oh so you have so my little “friend” Cody” smirked Jack.
Cody clenched his fists hard. “You will not harm him!” Cody shouted and punched Jack in his face.
Jack chuckled as he felt is nose bleed a bit. He wiped his nose with his sleeve and stopped laughing.
Rex’s chain broke and he ran and pounced on Cody growling. Cody yelled as loud as he could…
Falcon perked up his ears and ran towards where the sound came from. He skidded to a halt and saw that poor man Cody. Falcon growled and looked at Rex. He tackled Rex and pinned him down. Rex yelped, he had never been pinned down before… Rex snarled and grabbed Falcon by the scruff of his neck and threw him hard. Falcon skidded across the ground and crashed into a tree.
Rex smirked then ran to Falcon and picked him up in his jaws and slammed him against the ground.
“No!” shouted Cody and he ran towards them. Rex kicked Cody with his back legs then bit into Falcon’s muzzle and crushed it hard. Falcon whimpered then scratched Rex across his eye.
Rex yelped and rubbed his eye with his paw. Then growled and bared his teeth.
Falcon stood up and wiped the blood of his muzzle. Kenya came running out of the forest and pushes Rex. Falcon growled and pushes Kenya away gently. This was a fight just between Rex and Falcon one on one, equally matched. Kenya nodded then backed away and watched.
Suddenly Rex charged at Falcon and barged into him. Falcon fell to the floor and growled. Then he pushed himself of the floor and tackled him.
Rex growled and grabbed him by the throat and slammed him down as hard as he could. Falcon whimpered as blood pored down his neck and back. Rex grabbed him again and dragged him to Jack’s feet. Jack put his foot on Falcon’s neck and watched him whimper.
He picked Falcon up and carried him to his van. Kenya growled and bit onto Jacks arm. “Arr get off me you mutt” Jack said as he shook Kenya off and kicked him away.
He threw Falcon in the back of his truck and got in the front with Rex and drove off. Kenya got up and shook his head and made sense that Falcon was captured. He raced after the truck and bit at the wheels. Jack frowned and turned the truck around at a U turn and spun away. Kenya tumbled to the floor and watched as the truck disappeared
Jack smirked and looked out his mirror and saw Kenya drift away. He smirked and patted Rex’s head. Rex was looking out the window and air was blowing through his face. He wagged his stumpy tail and panted.
Falcon growled and slammed himself of the van door. He fell to the floor with a bleeding side from crashing into it over and over again, desperate to escape. “Looks like your friend left you” Jack said and smirked. Falcon folded his ears down and lowered his head. His tail dropped between his legs and he looked out the window hoping Kenya would come. But he never did…
It wasn’t long before the van went through a gate and parked in a car park. He opened the door and stepped out and walked across the gravel. He slid the van door open and tied Falcon to a chain and pulled him out. “Stay there Rex” Jack said as he locked the door. He walked in a house and walked through a door. Inside were loads of cadges on either side of the room. The room was dark, the walls were grey and the floor was concrete. It smelled a bit too. Dogs were howling and barking. Jack walked over to an empty cadge and threw Falcon in and closed it. Jack smirked and walked out and slammed the door behind him. There was not much light in there, just a little light shone through a little window in the middle of the room.
Falcon shook his fur and looked around. His cadge was disappointing, just a water bowl and an empty food ball, and a blue scraggy blanket in the corner.
Falcon got up on his hinged legs and looked over the cadge. He saw loads of barking dogs that howled and barked and whined. He sighed and got down he walked over to the blue blanket and lay down on it. Later that day the door at the other end of the room opened, and a lady with a trolley came in. “Dinner time” she said with a smile. She walked to Falcon’s cadge and came in. she grabbed his food bowl and filled it with dog food. Falcon didn’t really care, but he listened to the sound of the pellets clattering against his silver bowl. The lady smiled and placed the bowl in front of him. Falcon just looked at it then looked away. “Oh… you look so sad…” she said as she looked at the expression on Falcon’s face. “You’ll get used to it here” she said and grinned. She kicked the bowl closer to Falcon then walked out. Falcon perked his ears and sniffed at the food. It didn’t smell very good but he had to eat. He swallowed hard and started to eat the food. He took his last gulp of food and looked around. The lady was going round all the cadges giving them food. Falcon sat down and licked his lips.
Jack entered the room and walked in. “All right you mutts, you’re going to be homed tomorrow so I don’t want any growls when the buyers come. Act sweet and wag your tails” he said and stared at all the dogs. Falcon growled and jumped up at the bars barking. Jack smirked and walked towards him, their faces almost touching. “And as for you, wolf. You won’t get homed with that ill mannered temper of yours” he said and laughed. Falcon growled. Jack smirked and walked out the room.
Falcon frowned and lay down. He hated Jack, he wished he killed him. He buried his head in his paws trying to blank out all the loud barks which were very noisy. He sighed heavily and looked out the little window.
The next day the sun shone brightly and peered through the little window. Falcon got up and yawned he looked around the cadges, all the other dogs just woke up too. He wagged his tail slowly and went on his hind legs and peered over the cadge bars. The door opened and a few people walked in. they looked at the pens and stroked the dogs as they came. A man stood at Falcons’ pen. “Hello boy” he said. Falcon folded his ears and went back on all fours. The man frowned and walked to the next cadges. “Oh what a beautiful dog” said a woman as she came to Falcon’s cadge and grinned. “Such a big dog!” she leaned over and reached her hand out to stroke him, but he snarled and bared his fangs.
The woman pulled away then walked to the next cadge.
Falcon sighed and lay down on his blanket. Nobody would want a wolf he thought.
A small terrier looked over to Falcon’s cadge and barked to get his attention. Falcon looked up and saw the little dog. The little dog barked as he jumped up and down to see inside Falcon’s cadge.
Falcon frowned and rested his head on his paws.
The little dog next door stopped barking and lay down. Jack opened the heavy door and walked in whistling. He opened a cadge door and took out the little yappy barking dog and walked out. All the dogs wondered what was going to happen they all listened to what Jack was saying to a man,
“Well that is great”
“Yes I will take him, how much is he?”
“He’s £200 pounds” Jack said and grinned.
The other man nodded and gave him a £200 pound note. He picked up the dog and tied him to a lead.
“My little pet, I’m going to call him… Timmy” he said and walked out happy with the dog in his arms.
So this place is a pet shop where he keeps dogs and sells them… a dog shelter. Falcon thought to himself.
Later on Jack came in with a new dog by his side. The dogs’ a female golden retriever. She padded along. “There you go girl” he said as he opened the cadge door next to falcon’s cadge.
She padded into the cadge as the door slammed shut. She started barking and whining scratching at the bars. Falcons lifted onto his hind legs and peered over to the
