It seemed to have a lot of gaps, which made it hard to understand the plot while I was reading it. But apart from that, it was fairly good.
I also don't understand why it was rated PG. This story was low on violence, had nothing else I could see which would earn a PG rating, and had more than enough positive content to justify making it available to younger readers.
