Is This Real?

Plot: Steele just keeps coming back even though no body likes him. His feelings for Jenna have grown stronger than before and he wants to be with her. What this? Jenna seems to be more interested being around Steele. She doesn't know why but she actually liked it when Steele hit on her before Balto came. Can Jenna and Steele be friends or something more? Also if you don't like a mean Balto then don't read this fic, but read it anyway because this fic will get interesting. I made this fic thanks to the ideas of DrewTheWolf and Catwhohas14tails.

It was winter in Nome, once again and the sled dog races were back again. Steele was in the lead as usual because no team could have ever beaten his team of speedy dogs. He was breathing hard while trying to keep his pace. The team that they were challenging was quite a challenge. The lead dog of the other team was looking at Steele giving off a glare of hatred.

Steele glanced at the side, seeing his team trying there best. But at least they were in the lead instead of the other team. It was at the mile marker and this race was close to a finish. The other dog passed Steele, which made him quite angry. So Steele decided to push the other dog making them way behind.

"Come on Jenna we're going to miss the race!” Rosie called out running over to the crowd to see if Steele was to win another race, yet again. Jenna rolled her eyes and paddled along, seeing Steele again gave her that creepy feeling. Then she noticed Dixie and Sylvie coming up to her and gave her friends a smile. "Hey Jenna, I can't believe that monster Steele is still here.” Dixie spat while making a disgusted face. Sylvie spoke up, “You know that you and Balto are the most popular couple in Nome."

Jenna looked at Sylvie and smiled, she was right about that, every dog in Nome talk about them almost every time. "Balto is so lucky to have you Jenna," said Dixie while smiling, fluffing her fur. Steele was just nearing to the finish line and gazing at the people cheering. He then saw Jenna watching the race, his heart soared.

As he paced the finish line the crowd roared wildly, Kaltag, Nikki, and Star despite despising Steele stood behind him. After all he was the lead dog and they were his team mates, they were there to help each other. Steele grinned and went up to Jenna and her friends. "Well hello there ladies… “Smirking he gave that wicked grin. Dixie and Sylvie spit at him and left not wanting to even see his face.

While Jenna was there, she didn't know why but it felt good just to talk to him. “I Steele, what do you want?” Asking slightly annoyed about how Steele always came up to her. He looked at her and tried to say something but he couldn't. His heart froze like ice because he didn't know what to say. Jenna just kept on getting more beautiful each passing day.

Suddenly Balto came walking into the scene looking at Steele and glaring at him. "What the hell do you want Steele?” He asked annoyed ready to fight if needed. Steele's face changed from confused into a glare, "Well I was just talking to Jenna here! You got a problem with that wolf dog? “He gave him that all too familiar look. Kodi who finished his daily run came by his father, "Oh, god! It's you! I hope you learn to stay away from my mother. She doesn't want you." He spoke tensely glaring at Steele. Kodi had heard about Steele when his father told him the story of how he became a hero. Balto looked at Steele and readied himself to attack him, maybe teaching a lesson would get rid of Steele once and for all.

"Come on you two, stop this bickering about me," Jenna said while smiling gently. Balto and Steele both stopped, they didn't want to upset Jenna. Finally Steele left towards his owner's place. He went up to Jenna and smiled while growling at Balto, as soon as he left the tension disappeared. “Man, Dad was about to fight Steele mom!” Kodi grinned excitedly.

"Come on Kodi knock it off, your father already had a very rough day hearing all those complaints!" Jenna snapped walking off to find Rosie. Balto then noticed the time, "Uh, I got to go Jenna, but I'll see you later!" He said nuzzling her then was off like a torpedo. Now it was just Kodi and Jenna walking and talking. "So mom, why does this Steele guy still have an interest in you?” Kodi asked ever so curiously.

Jenna made a face, "Well he takes me as his trophy, ”She let out a sigh,” He's been doing that since we were puppies, always trying to have me.” For some reason Jenna actually liked this. Being Steele's trophy it just seemed so interesting. “Well at least dad has you," Kodi said smiling. But then he saw his friends Kirby, Dusty, and Ralph calling for him, "Sorry mom but I have to go, me and the guys are going to play a little game of tag in the forest." Kodi nuzzled her and gave her a quick goodbye and ran off to his friends.

"There you are Jenna; I've been looking for you it's time for dinner!”Rosie hugging Jenna, she smiled running side with her master. By nightfall Jenna couldn't sleep, she kept tossing and turning. She was thinking of him, Steele. "Why am I thinking about him? He's a jerk, n glory hound, and a cheater! But he's so much better than Balto. He’s got a more fun, wild side to him. That’s the kind of man I like! “She thought.

Jenna then decided that she could use some fresh air; slowly she crept outside and started to walk. She couldn't see barely anything because Nome was so dark at night. THUD! CRASH! Jenna perked her ears up and ran, she thought something was following her.

Then suddenly she bumped into someone, “Sorry!” She gasped, “oh it's just you." Jenna spoke, looking at Steele. He had piece of meat in his mouth, suddenly starting to eat it so he could talk to Jenna. "So what's a beautiful lady like you going out on a night like this?”He asked grinning. "I was just trying to get rid of my thoughts to clear my mind.” Jenna answered while she tried not to look at him.

"I see, but why don't you and I have some fun?” asked Steele grinning. Jenna hesitated to join, but he was so tempting and it could be fun. Suddenly Balto attacked Steele, "Get away from her!" he snarled. "Balto you mangy mutt I wasn't doing anything!" Steele pushed the wolf dog off of him. Jenna blocked there way and said, "Clam down, I was just taking a night stroll and we ran into each other."

She left speechless to her home away from Steele and Balto. The next morning came and Jenna seemed to be even more interested in Steele, she had even mistaken Balto several times as Steele, which made him confused. "Hey mom, how's your day going?" asked Kodi who finally back from another days worth of mail. “Just thinking about something, " Jenna sighed trying to keep an straight face. Kodi looked confused until he left be to with his friends once again, they were going hiking this time.

Jenna saw another figure approach her, but she was so tired that she couldn't even look. "Balto?”she asked thinking that it was him. "No it's me Steele, he answered sitting next to he. Jenna looked down, her heart was pounding again, this time it wasn't for Balto. She looked up and asked, "What do you want?"

Steele then felt his heart pounding, he then cleared his throat and said, "I need to tell you something tonight in the boiler room." Jenna looked at Steele, why did he want to see her? Jenna was ready to tell him no until she spoke up suddenly said, "Sure I will meet you there tonight." Steele nodded and left quickly. Star wondered what Jenna was talking to Steele for, he strolled up to her asking," What was that all about? "

"He was just trying to flirt with me, " Jenna lied, she really didn't want to tell the truth, because Star might tell Balto which could lead to an problem. Balto approached Jenna smiled, " You know Jenna thanks to you I've never been happier." he said while licking her face. Jenna smiled at Balto, but for some reason she hated him licking her, She just wanted to slap him.

By nightfall everything was quiet in Nome. Jenna snuck quietly out of her house heading towards the boiler room. Carefully hiding herself, she didn't want them to see her. Finally she had made it to the boiler room, Steele was already there.

“Finally you’re here,” He said, grinning at her. Jenna just nodded while grinning, she then finally popped up the question. "So what were you going to tell me? She asked her face close to his. Steele's face flushed, she never acted like this before and he liked it. He was thinking of a way to tell her he's secret.
