You may not know but, this is Saba! And I’m writing a letter to my family! You can read it if you want!
Dear Family,
This is Saba speaking! I’m just letting you know that I’m doing great with my new family. My human, Edwin, is 10 years old. He always plays with me, but he says sometimes he has to do “homework”. But, I’m not sure what that is. His dad works during the day. He’s gone a lot, Edwin’s mama talks to his dad about leaving a lot. I don’t eavesdrop or nothin’ but when I eat dinner, I always hear them.
How is it so far? My letter? Do you like it? I’ll keep going.
But I remember one day, Edwin didn’t play with me when he got home for “school”. He always gave me a treat when he comes home. I tried playing with him, but he said,” No, Libby.” He renamed me. When he walked upstairs, I brought my chew-bone so we could play. He took my toy, and threw it down the stairs. I whimpered, but he didn’t seem to mind. When he came back downstairs to eat dinner, I tried once more to play with him. Then his mama came with a broom. I barked happily, but she smacked me in the face with the broom. I looked at Edwin, he looked, the flicked my nose. I didn’t know what the heck was going on!!! They had never hit me, ever! All I could was walk away. There was nothing I could do. I went through the doggy door in the back. I was going to run. Away. Forever and I would never go back. And I didn’t. Now I’m in Ohio or something like that.
I’ll write more later.
Much Love,
Saba
