A year and a half passed since the storm, Aniu was left to raise six pups and lead a whole clan of wolves,dogs, and hybrids alone with only the help of Nava who turned out to be a great bata-wolf, and Beauti.After Aniu found Max in the storm dead and Nava and Beauti not far from it, she'd been trying her best to stay calm for her pups sake but, this was easier said then done. For the greif of their death had left her feeling down for the better (or in Aniu's case worse) part of the year. As for Balto and his sibblings, they had forgotten all about their father besides the fact that he was a husky. Balto grew to resemble his father along with a bit of a wolfish look from mom and have his same lust for advanture as well as his need to run and tremendous corage while the rest of his sibblings resembled more of their mother. At the moment he was on a hill near the den racing his brother Lucas and sister Aroura, "You guys are so slow you'll never beat me," Balto yelled as they raced down hill. Lucas growled and jumped at his brother who leaped to the side making Lucas land face first in the snow. Balto and Aroura stopped and walked up to him, Lucas growled and tackled Balto who laughed and playfully bit his brother. "You guys are crazy," Aroura giggled before she was tackled by three of her siblings. Soon all six of them were in a large snowball fighting and barking, till their mom walked out the den and howled. The pups shook off the snow and walked over to their mom, tails wagging and panting.Aniu smiled and laughed, "It's time for dinner now pups and I want no arguing, no fighting,no pushing, or shoving, we're to share this meat the hunting party brought home for us alright?" The pups nodded and smiled a each other,"Good then, come in so that I can wash you up then we'll have dinner," Aniu said, looking at them curiously as they walked into the den.

The next morring, before sunrise,Balto walked up a rather large hill and found his mother watching the stars. Balto smiled and sat beside his mom,"Hi son, couldn't sleep?" Aniu said still looking at the sky. Balto nodded and looked at the stars with his mom,"You either mom?" he asked quietly, his mother shook her head. "No I was just searching the heavens for a sign of your dad," "You can see dad in the stars?" Balto asked. Aniu laughed,"Not the stars, the spirts in the sky, well actully their past the sky in a place we can't see, they make figures in the clouds and stars sometimes. The Aroura bori alis is the best time to actully get a good feeling from them tho," "What's the aroura brogi alies mom?" "The Aroura Bori Alies is the northern lights, both dogs, wolves and people alike come from miles just to see it. It's like....a rainbow but brighter and at night, and it stands for many things other then just its beauti," Balto looked up at black sky and sighed, "Wish I could see it mom," "Oh my lil-one, some day soon you'll see it,"

Later in the afternoon,Balto jumped and yipped as he told his sibblings of the wounderful spirts, even though he didn't quiet understand what they were. Aniu sat by the den-entrence and watched silently as the pups talked and played.She sighed happly and sniffed the air making sure everything was safe. She smelled no danger but desided to look around the other dens just to make sure,"Children I would like you to go inside and play while I go check and make sure everyone's alright and remember stay silent," Aniu said softly. When the six of them where safly in the den,Aniu walked around and checked every den making sure everyone was alright. There was no danger, but Aniu felt uneasy and couldn't understand why.She walked every ounce of her territory and found no sighns of danger anywhere and other then what was left of, some prey or the burrile of lost loved ones that where unearthed, everything was perfect.Aniu walked to where Max's body had been placed and sat down.She stared at it for a while and tried to clear her head,"Oh Max what's wrong?Why do I feel like somethings wrong when I know it isn't? Are you trying to warn me or tell me somethings coming?" Aniu asked looking at the lump of dirt and grass that held Max's remains.She didn't expect an answer which is why she got up and prepared to leave for home, when she heard a howl as Balto,Kale and Wild Fire walked up to her.Aniu growled at her pups and they all put their ears down and tails between their legs, "We didn't mean to disobey you mother," WildFire said, looking at the ground, "We were worried and remembered you said never travle alone so...."Kale said "So Lucas sent the three of us out to find you," Balto finished.Aniu sighed and walked past her pups alittle,"Come pups lets go home,"

A few more days past and Aniu continued to grow more and more uneasy. She often spoke her feelings to Beauti and Nava and while Beauti shrugged it off as stress, Nava hung by her and said that it must be a sign of some sort from the spirts. One after Aniu put the pups to bed, she and Nava laid atop a hil staring at the Aroua Bori Alies. Aniu sighed,"I wish I knew what it was that Max was trying to tell me," she said to noone in particular, Nava sighed as well and thought for a moment before speaking to Aniu, "Aniu, have faith in your mate,even now he protects you,watches over you and your children, whatever will happen Iam sure we will all be safe.You know him he's not the type to lay down and let bad things happen, when the time comes the trouble will be quick and all will be fine." Nava said still looking at the sky. Aniu looked at him for a moment then back at the Arouas,"For one so young Nava you speak such wize words," Aniu said with a smile.Nava laughed, "Since the day my family and I joined this clan I promised that I'd do a great deal to help and that means bounding with all who are in it, even the Alphas and the pups. In my years of living and thriving in this clan I've learned and experienced more then a pup my age should. I guess it's made me older then my years," Nava said with a smile. Aniu sighed happily, "You shall make a great alpha some day my friend I guaranty that," Aniu said as the two of them continued looking at the Arouras.

The next morring Aniu woke to the sound of screams and growls. She jumped up and quickly counted all her pups before rushing out the cave to see what the trouble was. Seeing that all her pups where alright, she leaped out the cave and saw a huge dark brown bear with yellow eyes attacking and killing members from her clan. Aniu rushed over, with Beauti and Nava not behind her, and the three of them lept at the bear's throat.The bear was being attacked by all sides by all members of the clan but, did not go down easy as he slashed many dogs and hybrids, killing them instently. Aniu's jaws where wrapped tightly around the bears neck and she was pulling him with her might trying to get him to the ground.The bear however,it only moved a few a few inches before shaking it's head and throwing Aniu off of him and onto the ground. Aniu was passed out for about an hour and when she awoke the bear was gone and a few bodies lay around her. Aniu gasped, remembering her past when she'd found her old clan dead besided her, and mother and father in the middle of her. She remember that that day she cursed humans and yelled to the heavens that she would form a new clan one day and never be alone again. Her thoughts where interupted by the sound of Nava's howl, Aniu looked up on a rock above and to see him with a worried look on his face. Aniu howled in return and Nava jumped down to greet her,"Aniu I....have bad newz,"Nava began, Aniu looked in his eyes and said suddenly, "My pups are they alright? Are they hurt?Did that bear touch them I swear I'll kill it myself if...." "Aniu most of your pups are alright, only thing is that Balto's missing we can't find him anywhere," Aniu's heart sank, "You think the bear took him?" "We're not not completly sure, but their have been reports that the bear was carring some sort of brown/grey furry animal in it jaws," Nava said. Aniu's fur rose and she bared her teeth at the thought of the bear taking one of her pups, "Nava I'm going after that bear and bringing my baby back alone," She said in a harsh tone. Nava took a few steps back before speaking again,"Aniu I'm not sure thats a good idea, you should take Beauti and one of her pups with you for back up," Aniu shook her head,"No more of this clans blood is to be shead other then my own if need be," Aniu said with such anger that Nava's ears whent down and tail whent between his legs, "Very well Aniu, even though I advise against it I understand that you as a mother must take this trip alone you shall not be fallowed and I shall take good care of this clan as for your pups, I'm sure Beauti will be happy to care for them," Nava said, looking at Aniu as though he were saying good bye. Aniu walked over and nuzzled Nava before running off in search of her pup.

Aniu had fallowed the bear's scent to the middle of the forest, not far from where she and Max had their 1st encounter.Aniu had stopped for a short drink and something sparkly caught her eye, she walked up to it and saw that it was Max's old champian collar hanging from a branch. Smiling she took it and slipped it around her neck and sighed.Much of Max's scent was replaced with that of the forest but non the less Aniu wore it proudly.She sniffed the air and got a quick whiff of her son and the bear. Aniu growled, low and, fallowing the scent, she walked close to where the bear was and looked at it for a moment. She soon saw that it had a pup in it jaws, laying limply.Fearing the worst,Aniu let out a loud battle howl that filled the forest before limping on the bear's back and scratching it in the eyes. The bear let out a great roar,dropping Balto a few feet as he struggled to get the wolf off him. Aniu growled loudly and bit deep into the bear's neck causing it to bleed.The bear let out another loud roar and somehow managed to swing and throat
