Private Kate Kipton: A New World
Starting Over
Kate walked away from the base, and as she walked, she thought of the battle she would fight against the men who had ruined her life. She saw herself tearing out their throats as blood poured and splattered to the ground in great heaps. She saw her fangs rip into soft flesh, and she saw the results of what would happen when she placed pressure on a human’s throat. Shocked by herself, she pushed the thoughts from her mind, and began walking to where she and Demon had parted. Following her old scent, she ran back to where Demon’s pack had been. No one was there. She sighed at herself and her own foolishness. Demon and his pack went hunting at this hour of the day. She decided to sit down, and wait for his return.
After several hours, Kate became restless. What if something had happened to them? She couldn’t bear such a thought. She paced about the small meadow, and whined impatiently. She heard a small snapping sound to her right and turned to face the direction. A large black wolf stood there, his coat glistening in the evening sun. Kate stepped back a bit, and watched him carefully. He stared at her, moving his head up and down as he inspected her. He walked toward her slowly, and with each step he took, she took a step back. If he picked up his pace, then she did the same. If he slowed down, then she followed the same pace. She could tell he was becoming impatient, but that did not stop her. He glared at her through golden slits for eyes, and after finally becoming fed up, he rushed toward her. She reacted quickly, and ran away from him. He was catching up, and it was then P.K. remembered what she should do in these cases. She let him almost catch up, but before he got too close, she turned and ran toward him. She rushed past him in a hurry, and it took a few seconds for the wolf to realize what she had done. He turned to face her, expecting her to stop, but she continued to run. She ran through the bushes, and past the trees, making sure to keep far ahead of the wolf. She couldn’t see or smell him, but she knew he was following close behind.
She ran for more then half an hour before she paused to catch her breath. She looked around and inspected her surroundings as she breathed deeply. She was alone. Or at least she was sure she was. Even then, she kept her ears perked and open, making sure not to miss a single noise. She watched the area around her, and eventually calmed down. It had been 5 minutes, and not a single noise had been made by anything other then her. She smiled “I lost him.” She turned to walk back towards Demon’s pack, but when she turned, she heard a small branch crack under the weight of a leg. A leg that did not belong to her. She spun back around, and looked into the face of the black wolf she had seen earlier. He grinned coyly. “Hello madam.” Before Kate could run or attack, he rushed into her, knocking her to the ground. She lost her breath, and gasped for air between coughs. He circled her, the same small smile on his face the whole time he did so. “So, thought you could outrun me, huh?” She breathed loudly, and shook her head; not to say no, but to say she didn’t want to speak. He seemed to comprehend what she meant. “Listen toots, you can either come back with me to my pack and be held prisoner, or you can resist and make that pile of leaves you’re laying on your deathbed. Your choice.” She looked up at him sadly, trying to get some form of mercy out of him, but he looked at her with no change of expression. She sighed and quietly said “If you mean me no harm, then I will come with you.” He smiled. “Good. Stand up then. Follow me and don’t try to run. I don’t forgive anyone twice.” She stood up, and looked at the ground in submission. He began to walk away, and once he was a few steps ahead of her, she followed him. She didn’t want to be too close to him. If he attacked her without warning, she wanted a chance to fight back. He walked slowly, and she followed behind at an even slower pace. It wasn’t long before she reached his pack.
“What is your name?” He said as he looked over at his pack. There were 2 wolves lying in the grass. She continued to look at the ground, and said nothing to him. He shifted his weight slightly. “What is your name?” He said a bit more rashly. Still staring at the ground, she whispered “I do not give my name to strangers.” She could sense his impatience, but he still managed to put up with her somehow. “My name,” he said through clenched teeth “is Jackal, Alpha of the Orton pack.” After a brief pause, Kate said “My name is Private Kate Kipton, soldier of the United States of America Army.” His ears tilted in confusion. “I have not heard of this pack.” She smiled slightly. “It is not a pack. It is a large force of humans meant for fighting.” He looked at her. “Did you say humans?” She nodded. “Yes, I lived with them befo-” She was on the ground suddenly, all his body weight on her. He growled at her ferociously. “HUMANS?!” He yelled out. The other 2 wolves were watching him now. Kate was frightened by his sudden anger. “Yes.” She choked out. “I was part of their pack! They treated me fairly. Why are you so angered by it?” She was losing her breath with all his weight focused on her chest. He got off her, and watched as she stood up coughing. “Humans are nothing but evil! They do everything harm. I do not like them. The fact that you were once with them disgusts me.” He spit at her feet, but since Kate did not understand the meaning much, she took no offense. Jackal glared at her, until he finally calmed down. She waited for an apology, but none came. Instead, he motioned his head for her to follow, and walked toward his pack. She resumed her position of looking at the ground, and followed him. He stopped, and turned to face her. She sat and looked at him through saddened eyes. He smiled. “This white wolf is Kindro. You may have heard of him.” She shook her head in response. “No?” He asked. “Strange, he is known well among the wolves here.” Then as if remembering that she had not lived in the forest, he growled at himself. “This tan and cream wolf you see,” he mumbled “Is Panama. She is also known.” Kate looked up at them briefly, and then looked at the ground again. They scoffed at her, and Panama walked away in disgust. Kindro, however, had a sudden interest in Kate. “Well,” he said in a sarcastic tone. “I think I’ve found what I’ve been looking for.” Kate faced the ground still, but she watched him. Her eyes were the only things to move. He circled her slowly before asking “So, ever been with real man before?” She growled. “Yes, but only 5 so far. My 2 brothers, the general, my father, and my…mate!” She didn’t quite know what to call Demon, so she decided that name suited him best. He had been courting her, after all. This comment seemed to anger Kindro, and he lunged at her from behind. He grabbed hold of the back of her neck, but before he could try to mount her or attack her, she twisted around and grabbed hold of his neck. He yelped, and ended up letting go of the back of her neck. She pinned him, and began putting pressure before she was knocked off her feet. She turned, and saw Jackal, an angered look on his face.
“KINDRO!” He yelled. Kindro backed away, and stuttered nonsense apologies. Jackal, who seemed insane with anger, rushed at him and knocked him down. He began to crush him with his weight, and Kindro yelped and whined in pain, begging for forgiveness. “Kindro, if you ever pull a stunt like that again, I swear it will be your life. And I’ll make sure the pain lasts long.” He shoved Kindro away, and Kindro scurried away from him. “As for you, Kate,” He said as he turned to face her. “NEVER attack one of my pack mates, no matter what they do. Keep them away, or run from them and come to me, but do not lay a claw, paw, or tooth on their fur or flesh!” He knocked her to the ground and stood above her. “UNDERSTAND!?” She nodded quickly, the fright in her greatly increasing. She breathed deeply, and as Jackal got off of her, she closed her eyes and held back tears. She wasn’t stronger then him. She wasn’t faster then him. She was his prisoner. How could she possibly get away from him if she could not even win a battle? She stood up, and looked at Kindro. He sat a few feet away, smiling coyly. She growled silently as she saw him form the words “I’ll get you, and when I do, it’s gonna be fun.”
A surprising face
Every day with Jackal was like an eternal hell. His pack mates annoyed and bothered her, especially Kindro. He would try to court her, but every time he did so, she would immediately walk away and stand next to Jackal. When she did that, he would hustle away and hide until Kate was completely alone again. One of the only wolves who even dared sympathize for her was Panama. Panama knew how annoying Kindro could be, and agreed to help keep Kindro away. She had received the same harassment when she had joined Jackal’s pack. Other then that though, she did not care much for P.K’s presence.
Kate stood alone in the meadow when Kindro walked up to her. “Hello Kate.” He said, circling her like he usually did. “Hello Kindro.” She said, keeping her eyes on him. She watched him as he walked around her, inspecting her body and making her uncomfortable.

Well, that was good, a little short but still, good, I tihnk you
tactic of leaving it where the reader wants to know what will happen
is powerfully great, I can't wait ot see what happens next. |

aww short... You should add more stuff when make fanfic. Posting it
like chapter by chapter is forbiden. So large part by part and it'll
do it fine. Unlike in forum you can post chapter by chapter but not in
the fanfic site where reads 'only finished fanfics'. However this one
was cool and told funny things of being held by hostage in wolf pack
where usual is that sort of laws...but some parts were total fictional
like Alpha hanging around in borders...usual Scout's are doing it =D |
