The cold air went into the cave as a male alpha called Engor was walking nervously outside hoping to hear something soon about his mate and there new pups

The cold air blew into the cave as the male alpha, Engor, was pacing nervously outside, hoping to hear something soon about his mate and their unborn pups. After a long time a female wolf came walking out, bringing him good news about his mate. He walked slowly inside and in the corner of the cave he saw his mate looking tired but happy and he ran quickly to her. She was a light brown and white husky and her blue eyes beamed down at their new pups and she smiled. Engor looked down and wagged his tail.

 

“One..two..three..four” he smiled as he looked back up at his mate.

 

“Yes, but look closely at the one in the corner” his mate said as she watched him turn his head around.

 

Engor looked down, and in the corner was a little female pup that looked like him. He looked back up and wagged his tail again

 

“She looks just like you”.

 

Engor looked over his other pups, one girl looked just like her mother, one male was black but had light brown muzzle and his front feet were also brown and the last one was completely black. After studying his pups he lied down next to his tired mate who was falling asleep

 

“Have you thought of any names?” he whispered gently in her ear. She opened her eyes slowly and looked up

 

“I want to name her Hope” she pointed to the pup that looked like her father

 

“Hope” he whispered to himself and smiled.

5 months had passed from the pups birth, all of them where doing fine. Engor couldn’t be more proud of them, as he watched them playing in the sun outside their cave. His mate came walking out of the cave and sat down next to him

 

“Hope, Kiwi, Storm, Koda” She called to them and they stopped playing,

“Come and eat” she said and led them into the cave.

 

Engor stood up and looked around wondering where the rest of his wolf pack was, but after a little while he walked in after his family.

Not so far away all the members of the wolf pack where standing in another cave close by.

 

“What is the meaning of this?” A silver wolf asked as he looked around

 

Behind him a bigger black wolf came walking out from dark

 

“I say we pick a new leader for this pack” He said in a dark voice as he studied the faces of the other wolfs

 

“Why do you think we need a new leader, Engor is our leader.” A female wolf said as she watched the black wolf walking into the middle

 

“He doesn’t care about us, he only thinks about that Husky and his pups” he said loudly and sat down in the middle “He is betraying the pack to be with that Husky, who used to be a pet. He doesn’t deserve to lead us. I say, WE PICK SOMEONE ELSE!” he said as he watched the reaction of the other wolfs

 

The wolfs around him looked at each other thinking about what he had just told them.

 

“What do you think would happen if someone would attack the pack, do you think that he would try to defend us or that Husky and her offspring?” He asked as he saw the faces of some of the wolfs starting to show approval

 

“I say we choose someone who really cares about this pack and we get rid of the mistake and his family!”

 

Some of the wolfs started to growl in approval of this

 

“I say we attack now!” His voice echoed over the cave

 

All the wolfs started to growl

Engor lay in his cave next to his mate and watched his young ones eat. Suddenly he heard growling coming from outside. He stood up and walked over to the cave opening, he looked out he saw all the pack members walking up to his cave in led by Sodax, the black wolf.

 

“What is going on here?” he asked, surprised over what was happening

 

“We are here to get rid of you and your family. You don’t deserve to be a leader, you have betrayed the pack by being with that pet” Sodax growled at him as he came closer to the cave.

 

Engor looked shocked at the wolfs who where closing on to his cave. He turned around swiftly and ran to his mate

 

“We need to get out of here, FAST!” he yelled at her.

 

“What is going on?” she asked shocked and scared

 

“GET THE KIDS OUT AT THE BACK! He yelled at her “I will try to keep them busy”

 

“What about you?” She asked scared as she saw her mate’s reaction

 

“I will catch up with you soon. Now hurry.” He said and gave her a convincing smile

 

She started to lead the kids out of the cave, but when she was in the forest she looked at her young ones

 

“Where is Hope?” she asked the others nervously as she started to search for Hope around them.

 

“HOPE!” She yelled for a while

 

Then Engor came running to her.

 

“Is everyone here?” He asked her

 

“No Hope isn’t here, I think we left her behind” She said with tears in her eyes

 

“Don’t worry I will go get her” He said as he started to run back to the cave

 

“Be careful” She called after him

 

 

 

 

As Engor came back to the cave he saw Sodax walking over to Hope. Engor ran quickly in front of her.

 

“LEAVE HER ALONE” He growled as he tried to hit him.

 

“So you came back to save her? Pathetic!” Sodax growled back

 

As Engor stood between his daughter and Sodax, more wolfs came behind Sodax.

 

“You can’t escape now” Sodax laughed as the wolf started to close in on Engor.

 

“You will be killed just to save your unworthy pup”

 

“LET HER GO AND WE WILL FIGHT” Engor growled at him

 

Sodax walked closer and hit him in the face as hard as he could. Blood started to run down his cheek as Engor looked back up.

 

After few seconds Engor attacked Sodax with all his power, making him slide across the floor. All the other wolfs looked up at Engor and growled, Sodax stood back up and walked slowly back. As he came closer to Engor he hit him in the ribs and bit his ear. But Engor was stronger than him and pushed him of as he did that all the other wolfs jumped on him.

 

Engor tried everything he could to lead the fight from his daughter who sat frightened in the corner of the cave.

 

After a while even Engor couldn’t handle it anymore, two of his ribs were likely broken, his eye was scratched, bleeding pretty badly and a bone from his back leg was standing out from his skin but he didn’t give up, he didn’t want to fail his daughter, he didn’t want her to get hurt.

 

But suddenly he found Sodax jawn on his throat

 

“You where a failure as a leader” Sodax growled.

 

The last thing he could see was his daughter running over to him with tears in her eye, then all of a sudden everything went black.

“Sodax!” called a brown wolf behind him

 

“What?” he said as he looked around

 

“What do you want to do with her?” the wolf asked as he pointed over at Hope

 

“Leave her, her mother ran of with the others and she will starve to death probably” Sodax said as he walked out.

 

Hope sat over her dad as she cried

 

“Wake up dad, we have to find mom” She said as she put her paw on his face trying to wake him up

 

“Please wake up?” She cried but didn’t get an answer after awhile she lied down next to him and cried until she fell asleep.

 

Few hours later she woke up she looked at her dad and noticed that she had been lying in blood she quickly stood up ad backed away.

 

“Bye dad” She whispered as she kissed him lightly on the cheek “I will never forget you”

 

Quickly she looked up as she heard someone coming into the cave. Two hungry looking wolfs walked in.

 

“No need for this fresh meat to go to waste” The brown wolf said as he walked over to Engors body

 

“Hey look what I found!” A silver wolf said as he pointed over to Hope who stood in the corner of the cave

 

“Do you think anyone will notice if she will suddenly disappear” The brown said as he picked Hope up from the ground and carried her into the middle of the cave and dropped her on the floor next to her father

 

“No her mother ran off and her father doesn’t seem to mind” The silver wolf laughed as he pointed over to Engors body

 

Hope looked around quickly trying to find a way to escape as she spotted the cave open she started to run but the brown wolf lifted her up from the ground and held her down with his big paws

 

“Trying to escape, are you?” He said as he stuck his claws into her fur

 

Hope cried but, no one seemed to care. She looked up and saw the brown wolfs jawn closing down on her.

She shut her eyes quickly, hoping it was just a bad dream, but as the teeth of the wolf were touching her fur, a gun shoot came from outside. The brown
