PROLOUGUE:

Nome, the seventh planet of the Hyrox system, most of the planet is covered with snow and ice, the rest is mountain. Balto watched the sun rise above the horizon, thinking about nothing in particular, the next thing he knows, a voice behind him saying “Hey, Gloomy Gus, what’s up.” Balto spun around to find……. Ryan “Ryan, thank God, you scared the crud outta me!” Balto exclaimed. Ryan seemed surprised. “Me?! I was just in the neighborhood so I wanted to see what you were up to…….” A loud rumbling broke the conversation; a massive frigate appeared in the sky, “Holy…..” Whoa, boy!” Then, a ball of white energy appeared in the center, and just like that……. They were gone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CHAPTER I

 

 

 

Balto woke to find himself in a large chamber; around him was Ryan, and five other dogs. The others woke up at the same time. “Man, do I have a headache.” A black colored wolf groaned “Ah, quit complainin’ Shadow!” A bulky brown wolf replied. “You all right, Dusty?” A rust and cream colored husky asked a gray female husky. “Yeah, I’m all right, Kodi.” She replied. Then, a voice said “Attention, you are aboard the Rolling Thunder. Allow me to introduce you teammates: Balto, of planet Nome, Shadow, of planet Metros, Kodi and Dusty, of planet Acanine, Ryan, also of planet Nome, Tank, of the planet, Lupus, and over there,” he pointed to a white husky,” that’s Hacker” “Is that his real name?” Kodi asked. “Nah,” the husky piped up. “I’ve never had a real name; they just call me that because I’m good with computers.” “Right, got it.” Talkeet chipped in. “Oh, I almost forgot someone.” The voice said. “Aleu, Aleu!” he called. Suddenly a female voice replied. “Sorry I’m late.” The doors opened. A beautiful young wolf walked forward. Shadow’s jaw hit the ground, Kodi, Talkeet, and Balto seemed unimpressed. Aleu seemed surprised as well, only this was directed at Shadow. “So, all of you, head to the training room, I’ll meet you there.” “Training Room?!?!” They all replied at once.

 

 

 

CHAPTER II

 

When they all arrived, a large, brown and gray wolf waiting for them. “Initiate training session.” “Wha?” Hacker questioned. “Heads up!” called Shadow, pushing Aleu out of the way and kicking a robot in the face. Shadow grabbed its guns “Guys, catch!!” throwing the guns, Balto, and Aleu grabbed a Falcon 4 blaster pistol, Shadow snatched a chaingun and Kodi grabbed a sniper rifle. “Boom, baby!” Shadow yelled. “Eat plasma, suckas!” Shadow shouted and released volley after volley of shots “Aleu, get behind me!” He called. “Guys! Get into a pincher movement, Kodi; see if you can’t pick a few of ‘em off!” Balto called. “Way ahead of ya, buddy!” Kodi was already on that sniper rifle. “Wait, I’ve got an idea!” Hacker called. “Let’s hear it!” Balto called back. “If I can place an electron charge in the center, I can short circuit all of them at once!” “Do it, pal! We’ll cover ya!” Shadow exclaimed. Hacker placed the charge and then…………all of them shut down. “Oh, yeah!! We beat ‘em!” Shadow said. “You fried most of them yourself…….you’re not half bad.” Aleu said softly. Shadow started to sweat as Aleu came right up against Shadow’s chest. “Well done, well done, all of you!”

“I will now award you your commando ranks: Balto: Team Leader, Shadow: Heavy Weapons Specialist.” “Cool.” Shadow said. “Kodi: Sniper, Dusty: Vehicle expert, Aleu: Counterintelligence, Ryan: Ace Pilot, Tank: Hand-to-hand combat specialist, and Hacker: Technology Specialist. Congratulations!” He said. All of a sudden, an alarm began to blare out of control. “Wow, a mission already.” He commented. “Looks like a power plant is under attack; if that thing blows, the whole planet’ll get deep fried!!” “All right!” Balto said. “Let’s do this!”

 

 

CHAPTER III

 

“Your fighters are in the hangar.” He said over the alarm, as they ran like crazy to the fighters. In the hangar, they saw two AA-WC fighters, and an AA-WE. As they all jumped in their fighters, Ryan shouted “All right, all fighters follow my lead!”

 

PLANET HAVAND: 10:36 A.M.

 

As the fighters approached the power plant, hundreds of fighters appeared in front of them. “There’s our welcoming committee. All right, guys break off and engage!” Balto called over the comlink. “Hit ‘em hard and don’t hold back!!” Shadow called. And just then……..laser blasts flew everywhere. “I got one on my tail, I can’t shake him!” Aleu cried. “I’ve almost got him!” Shadow said. “Locked on! Fire!” Shadow launched three missiles. Then an explosion. “Yahoo!! That taught him!” Shadow yelled. “Thanks for the save.” Said Aleu. “You impress me more and more every day.” She said to a very confused and embarrassed Shadow. “Cut the chatter you two lovebirds. We’ve got bigger problems!” Ryan taunted. “Heads up Kodi!” called Dusty, blowing two fighters out of the sky. “Nice shot!” replied Tank .Suddenly; they saw Ryan shoot by after a runaway fighter. “Need some help?” asked Hacker. “You guys take out those cruisers, this one’s mine!” Ryan replied as he dogged the enemy fighter. Ryan’s fighter was controlled by two joysticks, so Ryan pushed one stick forward and pulled the other one back, causing the small AA-WC fighter to go into a corkscrew, and, firing its repeating lasers, blew it out of the sky. “BOO-YAH!!!!!” He shouted. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was attacking the last cruiser. “This thing just won’t blow!” said Dusty frustratingly. “Make way!” called Balto, firing three heavy missiles into an exhaust port. Then….. BOOM!!! The whole cruiser went up in flames. Ryan appeared. “Wow. Now THAT’S a light show!” He said. “Hey, maybe we should do something to celebrate our 1st successful mission.” Kodi asked. “You guys thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’?” Shadow asked slyly. “Oh, yeah.” Kodi replied, and then they all at once said……” PARTY!!!!!!!!!!” “I know just the place.” Shadow called, No sooner had he spoken, then High Chairman Duke called over the comlink “Everyone, report to the Rolling Thunder ASAP!” “Sounds like trouble.” Commented Dusty. “Yep, sure does.” Shadow replied.

 

 

 

ROLLING THUNDER 3:23 P.M.

 

As the team arrived, they found a very depressed High Chairman. “This is an emergency, so let’s finish this briefing quick. General Vender, please continue.” He pointed to a gruff looking Bullmastiff. “Thank you. Now, the transport vessel Space Maiden was on its way to a very important government mission, aboard the craft is Princess Jenna. But, she has fallen under attack by an unknown vessel. So you need to….” “Get her off the ship before it goes down in flaming glory.” Balto finished his sentence. “Exactly!” The General boomed. “So, get out there!” He yelled. “Ya don’t have ta yell, were all right here!”

 

 

SPACE MAIDEN 4:56 P.M.

 

Princess Jenna looked on as the hulking black frigate closed in. “I don’t know how were gonna make it out of this one, Desa.” She said to her sister. “Don’t worry. We’ll make i……” Then she fell on the floor, dead. A huge black and white Malamute with a blaster pistol was behind where Desa once stood. “Whoops.” He grinned evilly. Then, Jenna was knocked out.

 

 

 

CHAPTER IV

20 MILES FROM THE SPACE MAIDEN:

The huge mass of fighters arrived with our commando team riding a XA-17 gunship. “All squads, report in!” called Shadow. “Halo Squadron, roger.” “Viper Squadron, roger.” “Omega Squadron, roger.” “Wardog Squadron, roger.” “Blaze Squadron, roger.” “OK, boys hit ‘em with everything you’ve got. Watch our six!” Balto reported. A wave of AB-RE fighters arrived. “Dang that was fast!” “Omega 5, zip it!” called Omega Leader. “Too late! They know we’re here!!” Then…….chaos. The team carefully maneuvered through the scatter. “We’re almost there.” Ryan called from the cockpit. The huge craft sailed nimbly into the hangar of the Power Raider. They had been told that she was held prisoner on the Power Raider. Troopers surrounded the XA-17. “Come out of the ship with your hands up!” One of the troopers got close enough, and then……”Hey, batta batta!!”Tank’s iron fist sent the trooper hurtling through the air. Then Shadow opened up with his now 2 chainguns.
