that he struggled to remember in his knock out.

He grunted and screamed and turned his head running out of the den, Alouna chasing him.

He ran withough noticing anything. He wondered, however, if someone or something was trying to get his attention. Maybe he needed to know something but wouldn't focus. When he stopped running, Alouna was panting crazily.

"Why did you run off?"

Shad panted heavily and made no response.

"Answer me!" She yelled to the pup.

"Quiet!" Shad commanded uncontrolably.

Alouna backed up growling. The dark pup stood there, panting and growling. Alouna had no choice; she did what she should have done before he ran.

~Chapter 5: Rememberance and Trial~

She looked at him and jumped out of sight, narrowly landing on his back. Shadow's eyes became black again, and he made an attack, himself. Alouna was tossed off of him and thrown into a tree. Shad turned his head and walked the opposite direction of her. When Alouna got up, she stood there with stunned and angry expressions on her face.

She left him, as well and went to the land where they had first met. It all came back in her mind; the mountain lion, the fight, Shad's eyes, everything. Alouna sat on a ledge and looked at the sky. Why did he do that? She thought to herself. I know he's had a rough life, but why would that be a cause? Maybe he was lying... No. He seems..Honest, but still...

She was with a deep thought of her own past. Maybe I should tell him the rest..If I can get him to stop being so wild. She got up, stretched and went back to look for Shad. Then in her mind, she remembered what the most disturbing thing of her past was.

Other than everyone, even pups, fighting, there were these two pups-Saiige and Kuna- They were killing the adult wolves quickly. Then they got tired of it and went for her. She managed to knock them out for a while, or at least long enough for her to run away. They followed her and she fought again.

"You're hardly a match, pretty girl." Saiige had chuckled to her.

Kuna agreed with her brother and she burst out laughing as well. Kuna had kicked snow onto her face and the two had laughed like they couldn't stop. They had been raised by savages, having to abuse to stay happy, the pity of nature had brun Alouna's clan to an end for a temporary amount of time; most were killed, but many still survived.

Shad sit on the ground, far from Alouna and tried hard to calm himself and remember the entire story of his past. Though there was much more than that, he could only remember up to the point where his eyes went black and he began to fight, unable to control himself.

He saw Shiro being killed, as well. The mere mention, or the slightest thought of it, brought Shadow into a dark rage. All he had in his life was destroyed that day. The nights for the next month after that battle, he would quietly cry himself to sleep each night. The loss of Shiro was too much for him to bear.

Alouna walked down the ledge, and onto stiff ground. She sighed and looked behind her; the sky turned darker and with an orange blur above the ground. It would soon be dark and she needed to find Shad and find out what was wrong.

~Chapter 6: Passing the Time~

She went to where they had stayed the night and day of Shad's 'accident'. He lay there, with a glum expression on his face. She slowly and cautiously approached him.

"....Shad..? Are you ok?" She asked quietly and calmly.

"Yeah, I'm fine.."

"You went mental hours ago. Why??"

"Last night, I was trying to remember something, and it was too much for me."

"Wh-what was it.."

Shad turned his head away. "I can't talk about it," he said. "It'll just bring all the pain back,"

Alouna lay down next to him, and the two fell asleep.

(NOTE: This next part is them growing up. It's got song lyrics *italicized*)

("Heaven's a Lie" )

Oh no,

Here it is again

I need to know

When I will fall in decay

Something wrong

With every plan of my life

I didn't really notice that you've been here...

(Alouna and Shad are at the place where they met, and it is two weeks later after Shad's temper issue)

Dolefully Desired

Destiny of a lie

Set me free

Your heaven's a lie

Set me free with your love

Set me free...

(Now a month later, they're almost a year old. Now they're in the plains north of the river of where they met)

Oh no,

Here it is again

I need to know

Why did I choose to betray you

Something wrong

With all the plans of my life

I didn't realize that you've been here...

(They are now a month away from being a year old. They're fighting hunters whose weapons are rifles and bayonets)

Dolefully Desired

Destiny of a lie

Set me free

Your heaven's a lie

Set me free with your love

Set me free

(The scene switches instantly from Shad running as a pup to an adult)

Dolefully Desired..

Set me free

your heaven's a lie

Set me free with your love

Set me free---

Set me free

Your heaven's a lie

Set me free with your love

Set me free

Set me free your heaven's a lie

Set me free with your love

Set me free.....

~Chapter 7: Danger Signal~

The bluejay narrowly escaped the black wolf's grasp. He looked simmilar to Shad, only he was much darker with yellow eyes, not sea blue eyes. This one also had dark gray markings on his snout and chest with a line of it down his tail. He was docile from afar, and vicious up-close.

He backed away from the blood-stained grass from where he held the jay. The sun made no reflection on his fur when he moved. He then howled for the other wolves.

"I don't think you took care of this before it started," he said to them after they came.

A female spoke, "Lance, they'll be dead before soon,"

Another laughed brutaly. "Listen to Kuna, boy."

A younger female with red eyed smirked at their comments and rolled her eyes.

"Dona don't tell me your 'disliking' our idea AGAIN. After all, you helped us think of it." Saiige told her.

"Just 'cause I don't want 'ta take part in it doesn't mean it's not good." She responded, rolling her blood-red eyes again.

"You better make sure it works," Lance scoffed. "Because if it don't, you'll be facing hard times."

A rusty coloured wolf looked at the others. "Please. This 'our plan not working' thing is not going to happen." He said to Lance. Lance growled quietly and dismissed them. Their strike would begin that night, when the two would drop their guard.

It would be three more hours until sun down. The wolves needed to make sure they ALL understood.

"...And if we fail," Kuna said. "He'll do away with us instantly."

Saiige burst out laughing. "You kiddin'?! He's weaker every day!"

"Get ahold of yourself! He can still take us out if he puts up a fight. You know that." Dona said, expecting stupid and ridiculous behaviour from Saiige.

Koby watched the sun decend down beyond the plains. "All right, ya'll; It's striking time." He alerted.

"We clear on this?" Kuna asked.

All of them nodded and they raced off into the night.

Shadow, knowing his past a little better now, was aware of the danger that he was in; not only as a pup, but his threat returning. Alouna sat there as well and she knew what he was thinking. "We should hide and strike when they decide to give up." She said.

"Good plan." Shad assured her.

Alouna dug a deep hole in the den, which made a substitution for a catacomb; a good and efective way to hide without being seen, and then striking. Shad, however, didn't expect to make a good hiding spot; their potential den had many hiding places, both high and low. He attempted to climb some vined up onto a ledge, and after so, he jumped to the next one, and repeatedly. He did this until he was at the point where he would be hidden and availible to strike.

Paw prints from the four wolves overlapped each other as they got further through the forest. The rain from last night had made the ground soggy and muddy, and it was, in fact, still raining, but lightly (It's going to get harder as the story continues).

"You better know where we're going," Koby said, his entire body soaking wet; something he despised for too long. He shook his coat dry, only to become as soaked as he was a few seconds ago.

Saiige laughed and collapsed in the dirt. "Right! And now he's complaining because he's wet!" Saiige laughed in his Australian voice.

"It's not funny." Koby tried to convine, a blank, angry stare on his face.

Saiige still continues laughing.

Kuna whacked him with her paw, leaving a small cut on his ear side. "Hey, Lance sent us on something," she said. "If we're gonna mess around we do it when we're done."

Saiige rolled his eyes and they kept moving.

Dona lingered behind unwillingly. She wanted to stop with the walking and just get the job done. Though he needed helpers, Lance was killer and powerful. He seemed weak, that was true, but he still had the ability to kill them if they messed up.

Alouna and Shad still hid, waiting for the group of killers to arrive. Their plan was, when they searched the peremiter, and two were in the den, they would strike and take those two
