didn’t say a word. “Hello,” She said. Balto, after what happened with Steele, didn’t feel quite so scared anymore and said to her, “H-h-hello,”
“My names Jenna. I’ve never talked to you long enough to hear your name,”
Balto laughed at himself, for now he had the courage to tell her, “Balto,”
“Nice too meet you, umm… Balto”
Balto smiled at her but didn’t want to say anything.
“Are you all right? You look awful sad Balto?”
“I… umm…”
“What is it?”
“I don’t have any friends”
“Oh, well… I guess…”
Balto gazed at her as she paused for a moment.
“I guess, I could be your friend,”
Jenna looked at Balto as a joyful grin appeared on his miserable face and she smiled sweetly back at him. They stared at each other in silence for a while until Jenna’s owner suddenly called her name.
“Oh no, I’m sorry Balto but I have too go now,” Jenna said to him
“Umm… okay then. Good bye,” Balto said a little amazed that he had spoken to her
She ran off to meet her owner. As she walked away, Balto said again quietly,
“Good bye… Jenna,”
