say--" before she had time to ponder his name, Dingo yipped out quickly.

"Dingo!" he said. He recoiled back and yipped in pain as his chest started to hurt again.

Pyro went next to him and helped him to his feet again, letting him lean against her incase he needed support, "Well, Dingo," she chuckled looking at him, "If you don't mind, will you show me where you live? Hopefully it may lead me to the husky I'm looking for."

"Uhhh...." Dingo stammered, a bit embarssed that this wolf wants to see where he, a stray, wants to live, "I'll be able to show the town that I live in, but not the exact place." Dingo hoped that would cover it up. Then he remembered what she was. Pyro was a wolf, and well, the only time anyone in town saw a wolf was when a whole pack attacked the town, or if you're looking at a trophy room. His ears lowered and his expression became sad instead of a mixture of happy and embarassed.

"I'll stay in the shadows," Pyro interrupted his thoughts, apparently seeing the expression his face, "Though, it'll be the first time I've been with humans."

"Oh it's no problem," Dingo said, now a bit more relieved, "Besides, I know the perfect place for you to stay, and no humans ever go there either."

With Dingo leading, the two walked off into the forest and towards Nome.

In Nome, Auroa, Kodi and their two pups, Demon and Lily were walking together down the empty road some time at nightfall. Demon looked a bit like Auroa, but his tail curls up like a Husky, and his ears are a different color; one being the same color as Kodi's and the other the same as Auroa's. Lily was practically exactly like her father, she even had the same bridge on her nose as he did; though her paws and speed came from Auroa. The four of them were headed toward the boiler room near the end of the day, wanting to relax for a while and see who the new dog was in town. Just three days ago, everyone saw a new dog in the town; though no one has ever gotten the chance to talk to the new-guy, since he would run away from anyone who approached him. But now, the dog is going to introduce himself to everyone in the boiler room.

"I'm gonna get to the boiler room first!" Demon excalimed as the boiler room came into view, and he dashed off as fast as his little paws could carry him.

"Nuh-uh!" Lily yelled after him, and she tore off after him towards the meeting room.

Kodi just chuckled softly and Auroa smiled, and they walked together, watching their pups stop and wrestle eachother for a while before racing back towards their target. But then, they stopped abruptly. Lily was the first to run back to her parents, while Demon just stood three feet away from the boiler room door, his ears pinned onto his head in terror. Lily scrambled behind Auroa's back leg and cowared down, with her tail between her legs and whimpering pathetically. Auroa looked at her worriedly and then at Kodi. Kodi just shrugged and trotted off to his son, who took no notice of his father approaching him.

Demon just stood there, paralyzed with fear. The pup's legs were shaking as if he just got out of a pool of freezing cold water. Kodi nudged the pup's side gently, trying to snap him out of it. The pup didn't move. Kodi nudged him harder and the pup still stood there, staring at the door, as if waiting for some horrible monster to jump out and take him away.

"Demon knock it off," Kodi said authoritively, thinking it was another one of Demon's pranks, "This isn't funny, your sister and mother are getting scared." The pup still did not respond; his full attention on the door, "Now stop that, your acting as if you're going mad!" Kodi started to agitated, raising his voice at the pup. Demon still took no notice of his father's tone or his presence for that matter.

Then, the door to the boiler room started to open, and the pup stayed there, still staring. Kodi looked up and started to get a sense of fear; his instincts started to tell him to run, but he didn't. He wanted to know if this was an actual danger. The door swung open to full length, and there stood a very heavily built Malamute-Siberian Husky hybrid. He apparently was built for speed and strength, and there was no way Kodi would ever be able to out-run him, let alone beat him in a fight. The Husky looked almost familiar though. His fur was black and white, though a chunk of his left ear was bitten off, and he had a scar on his chest from a bullet wound. His eyes were a dark brown color that seemed to pierce through Kodi's soul, causing the fear in him. And the scary thing was his collar. Kodi couldn't tell what sort of collar it was, but apparently the owner had it on so tight, that the collar dug into the dog's skin; causing him to loose the fur and skin there, but soon, like now, the skin started to grow back over the collar and new fur was coming too.

As soon as Demon saw the Husky, he yipped out loudly as if he were shot, and collapsed to the ground and started to wiggle and squirm everywhere, as if he was caught in a trap. The pup whined, yipped, yelped, and even howled like a dying dog would. Auroa heard this and came running toward Kodi and Demon, with Lily cautiously walking after her mother.

Auroa lowered her head to Demon's squirming body and bit down softly onto the scruff of the pup's neck and tightened her grip, causing him to stop and become aware of his actions.

"What happened Mama?" Demon asked, looking at his mother with fearful eyes, "I don't remember anything."

Auroa let the pup go, and as soon as the pup saw the Husky again he started to whimper softly and ran back towards Lily, who was still far from the group.

"I'm sorry about his behavor," Kodi apologized to the Husky, "he's really a good kid."

"I'm sure he is," the Husky said in a gruff, deep voice. Kodi's ears started to lower after hearing the voice; it was as if it were evil. The Husky turned and went back inside the boiler room.

"I'll get the pups," Auroa offered and went back to where the pups were cowering. Kodi nodded and watched as all the other dogs in the boiler room greeted the Husky as if he'd been there for years. Why didn't they cower like he almost did? Or maybe they were, but they weren't expressing it? Whatever the reason, he had to go in the room anyway. He walked in and saw that it was mainly all the dogs who were big and strong that were in here. Balto was in here, and so was Angel; but there was no Jenna, Kavik, Nikki, Kaltag, Star, or even Doc. He laid down on a fluffly dog pillow next to his dad and they both said nothing until Auroa came in with Demon on her back, and Lily in her mouth. Demon was back in his truamatized state, while Lily was kicking and nipping at the air, trying to get out of her mother's grip.

Auroa laid down next to Kodi and palced Lily down, and placed her paw on her daughter's tail, to make sure she doesn't escape. Balto stood up and smiled weakily, but still believable, and started to speak.

"Well, this is our.....newest dog to...uh..... join Nome.....Yes, well....umm.....wha-what's you name?" Balto asked nervously.

"Seam," the Husky growled, almost insulted at Balto's stammering, "My father was a husky who lived here, but died misreably. My mother was a stupid Malamute who had no brains and ended up getting herself shot." everyone just stared in shock at Seam's short past life story.

The door creaked open quietly enough for only a few who were next to the door to hear it. But what happened next, everyone saw and heard.

"You're gonna love this place; no humans ever come here, and its the warmest place in the whole town! The food is always here, though I don't know how, and there are pillows for you to lay on and....oh," when Dingo entered the room, he noticed that everyone was staring at him with relieved looks. Then, a new figure entered; it was a female wolf, with black fur and red ears, a yellow eye and a blue eye. Her ears were perked up and her tail was close to the floor in shyness and shock.

Balto cleared his throat, "Son," he started, "Why don't you introduce us to your new friend?"

Everyone stared at Dingo for an answer, except for Seam. The only thing Seam was staring at was the wolf; and it wasn't a love-struck look either. It was more of a hateful look in fact.

"Well, uh..." Dingo tried to explain, clearing his throat, "Her name is uh, Pyro; and she's looking for a rabid Husky for a....um.....'vendetta.'" as the others whispered about what a vendetta was, Balto looked over at Seam and saw that the Husky was baring his teeth and was starting to growl very lowly. The wolf heard this and looked over at Seam, her eyes widening immideatley. She yipped once at Seam, as a puppy would to a family memeber, and a bubbly white foam started to seep from Seam's lips. Demon and Lily started yelling and yipping frantically and struggled from their mother's grip. Lily finally bit into her mother's paw hard enough for Auroa to let go, and the two pups dashed for the door, leaving the boiler room.

Auroa got up, growling angrily and started to run/leap after her pups, "Oooohhh!! Those two are gonna be in so much trouble when I get my paws on them!" and she too also left the boiler room. Kodi decided to let her deal with the pups tonight, so he stayed in the room. Pyro started to growl loud enough for everyone to
