Vendetta.

A small pack of wolves, containing two adults, about three years old, and four pups, three boys and one girl, were in the middle of a forest far away from any human activity. The two adults were watching their young pups play in the newly fallen snow, still shining in the moonlight like the stars in the night sky. The female adult was a black wolf with unique red markings along her head that swerved around her face, making it seem like a mask; and her eyes were the same color as the great ocean. Her eyes would sparkle as the ocean does when the sun shines upon it, whenever joyful or happy; though when provoked, the female wolf's eyes will shimmer like a polished knife, waiting to cut into flesh and kill. The male adult was a big brute that showed no mercy in a battle. He too had black fur like his mate's, though his eyes were yellow. Yellow like the sun when it starts to leave the land and lets the moon take over.
The pups, were almost all alike; except for one. The little girl, the only little girl of the group in fact, was the odd-ball. She was as black as the night sky without the stars and moon, and her ears were red like the design on her mother's head, except the pattern the red left looked like wild fire. Her left eye was as blue as a well polished sapphire, and her other eye was as yellow as shimmering gold in the sunlight; both beautiful and haunting. For this, the parents named her Pyro, for not only of her ear design, but for her persona as well. She can be helpful and life saving when in a good mood, but when cornered, she will fight anything in her path until she is either put out, or her opponent has been eliminated. The three boys looked exactly alike and acted alike as well, so they were all named Recko; and somehow each of the Reckos knew which one their parents were talking to. The three boy pups had black fur with red spots on their eyes, and their eyes were as yellow as their father's.
Now, these wolves did not beleive in speaking the same language as the domestic canines, or any other canine for the matter, so they spoke a different language, one that only the ancients know.
As the pups romped around in the snow, breaking up the sparkles it contained, and spreading the glittering blanket everywhere, the father smelt something unusual in the air. It was not familiar to these parts, but he recognized it. It was a mixture of forest and man; apparently the intruder had been in the forest long enough to rub off some of the stinking man smell. He growled and stood up in a threatening stance, trying to sniff out the location of the intruder, while trying to find it. His mate saw him do this, and she got up, and walked toward the pups and mumbled to each of the little pups.
"Elil," (enemy) she informed the pups, and the little ones immediately ceased their rough-housing and stared at their mother, wondering what to do next.
Then, a furious mixture of snarling and snapping fangs broke their concentration of escaping. The five looked over and saw the father on his hind legs, snapping and clawing at the intruder in a full-out battle. The intruder was a black and white husky with a beaten up leather collar, and white foam dripping from his muzzle. The husky had rabis. As the two fought, the mother positioned herself between the battle and her pups.
As Pyro watched her father fight, a sense of fear and anger overwhelmed her, and she felt lost as if she were being tossed in a raging ocean in the middle of a storm. She felt like she needed to help, and as soon as the husky knocked her father down to ground, she charged at the rabid creature, going in between her mother's legs, with her had tail up high in a threatening way. The husky saw her and growled, showing his red and white, foamy fangs to the snarling pup. She leapt at the husky, and he swiped at her with his paw, and the paw smacked full force into Pyro's right rib-cage, knocking the wind out of her. The husky's claws dug into her beautiful black fur and split the skin beneath it, causing the young pup to bleed.
The pup smacked against a little tree covered in snow, and the snow upon the tree's leaves and branches fell upon the pup when she thumped against it and fell, as if protecting her. She felt the icy cold snow cover her body, and all she could do was close her eyes and listen to her mother and husky fight. She whimpered as she heard her mother yip and squiel like a rabbit caught in a snare, and soon she heard bone crack; her mother was dead. Pyro closed her eyes tightly and whimpered softly, hoping the rabid husky wouldn't hear her. She then heard her brothers squeak and die by the jaws of the intruder. The pup started to breath heavily now in fear, and soon she hyperventalated and everything went black and cold as she heard her father attacking the rabid monster again for one last time.
Two Years Later.
The town of Nome. A wonderful place for humans, but a peaceful haven for most dogs who lived in the town. Especially for Dingo, one of the pups of the famous Balto. He was as big as his father though he had a bit more muscle to his legs for running than his father did. He had the same coloration as his mother, Jenna, did though he was a bit darker and had a wolfish look to him. The pattern of his fur was almost exactly like his father's, except for the bridge that went from the top of his muzzle and past his eyebrows. The wolfish look to his body came from his father's side. Balto was part wolf, so it was only natural for him, Dingo, to look almost like a wolf.
Dingo was running around the allies as a stray dog for some time after his old owner died of old age. He was eating well though, for a stray that is, and all that food came from the butcher's place. Though we wasn't as lucky as most of siblings. Like Kodi. Kodi had a job, an owner, and a family besides his siblings and parents. Kodi actually had a mate and pups. His mate's name was Auroa, and they had two pups, each one resembling a different mixture of their parents personalities and looks. Kodi always was the lucky one, he was almost as famous as their dad even. How come his older brother got everything he wanted? He has a good job, a pretty mate, healthy pups, and all the fame he could probably ask for; but how come he, Dingo, didn't have that? Why?
Dingo was always trying to do something to impress a girl, but because he was stray, none of them payed any attention to him. One time he tried his luck with a brown and gray she-wolf, about his age, but the only thing he came back with was a bleeding nose and ear. So, he was on his own, seeing his parents occassionaly, but always ignoring them, not wanting their sympathy from them since he was a stray. Sometimes he just wished he could be alone, and when that happened he would go to the forest and howl his head off, sharing his sympathy and anger to the world.
As he walked down an alley, looking for some scraps to eat before going to the butcher's workshop, he smelt one of his siblings approaching. He looked up from the ground, and saw that it was Kodi. Dingo rolled hs eyes, wondering what his all perfect brother wanted.
"What do you want Kodi?" Dingo asked his brother with a large amount of annoyance in his voice, "I'm busy, so hurry up or leave."
"Have you seen Auroa?" Kodi asked his brother, ignoring Dingo's tone, "I can't find her or the pups."
"Maybe she's in the boiler room with another boy dog," Dingo mumbled.
"What'd you say?" Kodi inquired, not quite catching what his brother had said.
"I said, I think she's in the boiler room," Dingo said more loudly this time, not adding the rest of the insult.
"Oh," Kodi replied, "Thanks." and he trotted past Dingo and went in the direction the boiler room was located.
Dingo just growled under his breath and mumbled loud enough for his brother to hear, "Stupid git."
"Okay, I know I heard that one," Kodi growled as he stoped and turned around toward his brother after hearing Dingo's parting words. Kodi had his teeth bared and the fur on his back was raised in anger.
Dingo just smirked at his brother's approach, "You apparently don't know how many street fights I've been in Big Bro."
Kodi kept advancing and stopped right in front of his brother's face, their noses almost touching. Dingo just glared and Kodi returned the glare.
"If you ever insult my family or me again, I will personally hurt you," Kodi growled.
"Oh no," Dingo said sarcastically, putting on a scared, but fake, look on his face. He stepped away from his brother with his tail almost tucked between his legs, showing that he was only doing this as a joke, "You would hurt me? Your own brother? How could you!?"
"Don't push me Dingo!" Kodi snapped angrily at his joking brother. Dingo stood up straight this time with his tail curled up slightly, "You know I won't hesistate." Kodi added.
Dingo said nothing, but he only stared at his brother with an expressionless look. He knew his brother, and he definetly wouldn't attack him, no matter what he did or say. Dingo just smirked, and he was the first to leave the alley, running. He wanted to leave the town and to be alone again. He seemed to be going to the forest more often than usual these days; whether he was mad or not. He ran through the streets, ignoring the angry people and dogs that he ran in front of, almost knocking them over. He ran past his
