the darkness turned sinister, it made Dusty shiver, Frightfull mumble and Kodi fidget. A dark figure appeared, shady and mysterious. Then as quickly as it had started it disappeared. The gang found themselves swallowed up in the calm darkness, no creature no sinister feeling. Kodi sighed in relief and opened his mouth to say something but Frightfull placed her paw over his mouth.

“Shhh…. The wind.” She whispered. Kodi’s ears perk he strained to hear anything then so quietly as if the wind was giving a message so secret that she could only whisper Kodi could faintly make out one word.

“Kone.”

“Kone?” Kodi looked at Dusty to Frightfull back to Dusty. Dusty simply shrugged but Frightfull’s eyes grew large, her mouth hung so low Kodi swore it would fall off.

“Fright? Is something wrong?” Kodi asked a look of concern crossed his face. For a long time Frightfull did not answer, did not even look at him. Finally she opened her mouth and muttered something that caught Kodi off guard.

“He’s alive?”

 

Chapter 5:

 

Kone slid his eye open.

“One year.” he muttered .suddenly he heard a scream and he grinned.

“Be careful you two.” he warned as two wolves tore down the green pasture. The two wolves were known as Java and Kenca. Kone raised his head.

“Where’s Kola?” He asked. Kenca stopped and nodded to a hill before taking off again. Kone gazed at the hill Kola was sitting still as a statue gazing over the green land. Kone felt enticed to sit next to him, but Kola was solitary loved just to be alone.

“Kone come here.” Kola suddenly called. Kone got up and climbed the small hill and sat down.

“what is it?” he asked.

“The wind.” Kola spoke softly. Kone looked out in front of him. The wind was blowing softly and ruffling his just washed gray fur.

“yea the wind is calm so what?”

“Shh listen.” Kola muttered. Kone strained his ears and indeed a small faint sound whisked around him a small light voice, as Kone listened to it, the voice uttered one word.

“Frightfull.”

“Frightfull?” Kola repeated slightly confused. He looked at Kone who looked like he was about to pop. His brown eyes grew large and he looked like he was concentrating real hard. Finally he opened his mouth and uttered two words.

“She’s alive?”

 

Chapter 6:

 

Boris trailed Frightfull, holding on to her tail.

“Frightfull don’t go crazy on me now!” he shouted.

“Get off Uncle Boris.” She said ignoring Boris’s pleas.

“This is foolishness.” Boris continued still having a firm grip on Frightfull’s tail.

“You will die like a dog!” Boris insisted

“so will you if you don’t get off! Snapped Frightfull. That did it Boris let go but instead of stopping he flew ahead of her before landing and making Frightfull stop.

“What?” Frightfull looked at Boris.

“Don’t go I’m begging you.” Boris got down on his knees and gave Frightfull puppy eyes. Suddenly a white streak landed on Boris’s neck and held the dumb goose down. Frightfull growled and pushed the streak off of her uncle and stood in front of him her teeth bared and she snarled. The white streak only happened to be a hybrid he was pure white except for his tail which was half black and his ears which were all black. Frightfull noticed a Black sweatband on his right paw. The wolf snarled.

“I got him first he’s mine back off sweetie.”

“I don’t wanna eat him he’s my friend and you Back off.” Frightfull snarled. This made The strange hybrid stop his snarling he raised his head and the fur on his back lowered.

“Friend?” He cocked his head.

“Yes he’s my uhh…”

“Uncle.” Boris piped in.

“yea.” Frightfull blushed. For the first time she was embarrassed about having a goose for a uncle. The hybrid laughed.

“So I see.” He sat down

“name’s CJ.”

“CJ?” now it was Frightfull’s turn to cock her head.

“Well it’s really Coronae Delirium but all my friends call me CJ” The hybrid explained.

“Oh I see. my name’s Frightfull.” She replied. The hybrid smiled

“ nice to meet you Fright.”

“The pleasure’s all mine, now if you will excuse me I have someone to find.” Frightfull said. Boris piped up again.

“NO FRIGHT YOU CAN’T GO!” He yelled. Frightfull simply pushed him aside and walked off.

 

Flash Back

 

Jolt stood his ground.

“You take one more step you die,” He snarled. The white wolf also was standing his ground. The black sweatband slipped off his paw when he lunged. Jolt braced himself for the impact, but it never came. This wolf simply lunged past him and took off. Jolt shook his head and turned around and trotted into his den. His mate raised her head.

“Is he….?”she asked.

“Yea he’s gone.”

“good.” She went to tending the pups two beautiful pups. One was pure black with a white moon on her forehead. The other had the color markings of Jolt’s brother Balto. Only instead of that brown it was gray.

“We have to name them.” warned Jolt.

“OK we will name this one Kone.” Jolt’s mate nudged the gray male.

“and that one is….” Jolt never got to finish his sentence a gunshot rang out and Jolt crumpled to the ground. Never, Never to rise again.

 

Flash forward.

 

CJ sat straight and looked at Boris.

“who is she talking about?”

“Her bother who she thought was dead is alive.” Boris explained.

“But the weather conditions are too harsh to be going to find him now.”

“You said it.” CJ nodded.

“I’ll go with her.” He arose to fallow the strange hybrid. When Boris called out.

“If you get her killed….”

“I won’t” CJ called back and he took off to catch up with the female.

 

 

Chapter 7

 

Kone sat down.

“So let me get this straight.” Java stared at Kone

“Your sisters not dead?” Kenca cut in. Kone simply nodded.

“So what are we doing on our lazy butts? Let’s find your sister”

“Wait a minute.” Kola interrupted. ”We don’t even know where she is.”

“So we didn’t know where you were but we went looking for you and we found you.” Java reminded Kola.

“Yea I……” started Kenca but Kola shook his head.

“shush here that?” Kola stood rigid. Everyone else fallowed suite. What happened next was a bit of a rush. A gunshot rung out and Java and Kenca turned heel and ran but Kola crumpled down his eyes wide with panic. Kone stood staring at Kola.

“Look out!” Kenca pushed Kone out of the way just as a bullet raced past. Kone felt like he just woke from a strange dream. In a blink of a eye Kone took off pushed Kola on his back and was gone.

 

Flash back.

 

The white wolf hybrid pup sniffed the air.

“Two weeks.” He yipped. He had been away from his mom for two weeks. A gunshot made him jump. He heard a scream then a female wolf raced out of a den with two pups. He shook his head not entirely getting what was going on.

“Hello.” The pup turned around to face a new dog. She was pure black with a white lightning streak on her chest. Complete with the brown puppy eyes, and black floppy ears.

“Umm hi.” The pup smiled.

“I’m Shadow, do you happen to know where Nome would be?” She asked.

“I’m CJ, and Nome’s that way.” He lifted his paw north.

“Thanks CJ.” Shadow replied. She gave him a small smile and took off.

 

 

 

 

Chapter 8

 

Frightfull sighed.

“Where are we.?”

“We are in the woods behind Nome.” CJ replied

“Well duh……..ahhhhhhhhhh.” Frightfull found herself slipping the rock on witch she had been standing on gave way and she had fell and slid till she came to a stop on the edge of the cliff.

“Fright!” CJ lunged for her and griped on to Frightfull’s nose. He yanked puling her up and away to the edge of the cliff. Frightened Frightfull lied there shivering. CJ stood over her panting entirely tired out.

“That was close.” A new voice rang out. CJ stood erect over Frightfull.

“Who are you?” He called. No answer. Suddenly the ground shook and the cliff started to crumble CJ found himself falling, falling into nothing.

“What?” Shadow sat gaping at Boris.

“I know you heard me bird chick.” Boris mumbled.

“Shhh……..listen.” Shadow’s ears stood erect. They twitched. She stood stiller then a statue.

“What is it?” asked Boris.

“Gunshot.” Shadow mumbled.

“So there’s gunshots all the time.” Boris made a face as if he did not care.

“No this ain’t no usual gunshot it don’t belong to a gun.” Shadow gave Boris a death glare.

“What how is that possible?” Boris asked.

“Oh ****!” Shadow suddenly screamed.

“What is it?” screamed Boris

“He’s back that……..” She caught herself this time and eyed the polar bear cubs.

“Who’s back?”

“Him.”

“Who’s him?”

“no one knows his name we just call him,
