Ordeal. Only the dominants can kill." she said and her eyes went from Dakota, to Krom, then to Lee. Those were the dominants and..of course the largest of the males.

She spotted Lee look back at her and wink, then noted Krom snapping at Lee's leg, but didn't draw blood on thick muscles.

"All males come forth to drink from the moon light." said the elderly female she found out from a passing female as Roxie Rise. As she finished she saw a large leaf appear out of thin air and the wolves came up, one by one and took one sip from the silverly water pooled in the leaf. As Lee took his sip; which was was the last he stood by Krom.

Roxie slowly backed away, her head down to the ground, her nose nearly touching the luminous grass plain. She snapped her head backwards and howled loudly. "LET THE ORDEAL..BEGIN!!!!" she howled.

A moment of silence sat on the circle of males. A howl of pain broke the circle and a small scrawny skinny male fled from the circle with a bleeding eye. Before she knew it the circle became a ravaging pack of howls, flying fur and snarls.

She twisted her head this way and that, trying to find Aiden. Another howl broke the air and she saw four other males running away, deep scratches across their faces.

Her heart raced. Suddenly she heard a familar howl and she was struck by pain. She saw Krom holding tightly on Aiden's neck. Aiden was twisting and turning, trying to rake his claws against Krom's legs, but he was weakening fast, his air cut off. "Aiden..no." she gasped and Emily looked at Waya, her eyes filled with fear for her friends brother.

She smiled when Aiden managed to grab Krom's chest and he ripped it. Krom howled and ran off screaming like a puppy. Aiden smiled and looked proudly at his sister. Waya nodded, beckoning to a howling male that was running toward him. Her heart jumped, another dominant, Dakota. Dakota bowled over Aiden, sending Aiden tumbling to the ground.

Her heart raced as Aiden grabbed hold of Dakota leg and tried biting and puncuturing his tough muscle flesh. Dakota shook his head and smacked his head into Aiden's side and she heard a loud crack from Aiden's side and Aiden howled in pain.

Dakota grabbed hold of Aiden's leg and beagn to shake it, biting through it.

"Nooo!" Waya howled and leaped forward, but Emily tackled her to the ground and placed her paws to the sides, holding Waya down. "You mustn't go out there!" she whispered harshly in Waya's ear.

Aiden howled, but Dakota was blinded by the coppery taste in his mouth, his eyes seemed clouded like a trance and he kept chomping through Aiden's shoulder. Aiden wriggle din pain, wanting to run to safety of the circle where he could submit, but Dakota would not yeild.

Aiden growled and began to fight back, he ripped his leg from Dakota's red jaws and Aiden leaped upon him, ignoring Roxie howling to him to get back. Aiden grabbed hold of Dakota's neck and ripped through. Dakota howled and snapped at Aiden's disfigured leg. He grabbed hold and slammed Aiden onto his back. Aiden yelped and as he saw Dakota launch toward his throat, jaws and teeth bared, Aiden pushed upwards with his feet and snapped onto Dakota's throat squeezing tightly.

Emily heard Dakota gasp as his windpipe closed and Aiden clamped tighter, puncturing his jagular.

Waya saw a flash and then saw Aiden tumbling to the ground and lying in a heap.

Lee snarled, standing over Aiden dominantly. "You have no right to kill." he snarled.

Waya saw Dakota's limp body being dragged away, she noticed a faint rise in his sides and knew he was not yet dead, but she turned her gaze to Aiden and Lee.

Lee had grabbed hold of Aiden's neck and automatically blood shot out of Aiden's jugular as Lee tore through it.

Waya clenched her teeth and couldn't stand it no more. Waya leaped through the crowd and fastened her teeth on Lee's neck and pulled his scruff hard till she could hear a faint ripping of flesh.

Lee growled and she felt tight fangs on her leg and she felt as if she was flying, then she hit the ground with a concussion and she lie still in shock.

"Stay out of this, Waya!!" Lee spat.

Lee clamped his jaws tightly on Aiden's throat and shook his head, blood splattered over his face and Aiden's.

"STOP!!! You'll kill him!!!" Waya shouted, but other females help Waya back with their bodys and fangs.

Lee stared at Waya as she struggled to get to her brother. Lee sighed and twisted his head to the left, while holding Aiden down and their was a loud snap and everything seemed to hold it's breath. Lee dropped Aiden's neck and Aiden lie still for a final time. Blood dripped from Lee's jaws as he stared at Aiden's limp body.

"AIDEN!" Waya cried and dragged herself from the loosening fangs. She threw herself onto Aiden's still-warm-body. "Aiden," she sobbed and burried her face into Aiden's blood soaked fur. "don't leave me.." she whimpered and closed her eyes tightly, tears disappearing into Aiden's fur. "You promised me we'd escape together." she whined and her body shook with sobs.

Lee stared down at Waya and placed a gente paw on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Waya." he whispered gently.

"You killed him.." she gasped, not looking up from her brother's dead body.

"It was my duty. Horrible as it was, I hope you can never forgive me." Lee whispered and looked up as the wolves began to walk backwards.

"I'll leave you." Lee said.

Waya felt him lick her ear and she did everything to hold herself back from attacking him.

Waya looked up, hearing another family howl. She gasped lightly. Emily was being straddled by a large black wolf. Xena! Waya whimpered and looked down at Aiden. She sighed and closed his eyes, then ran toward Emily and Xena.

Xena had a tight grip on Emily's neck. She looked around in shock, no one was helping her. She barked out orders to help Emily, but they either ignored her shook their heads.

Waya growled and leaped forward, she tugged on Xena's neck and tried to pry her off, pushing herself between Emily and Xena. She already lost her brother, she WASN'T going to lose her only friend. She growled as she heard Emily gasp for breath; her windpipe was being closed.

Waya howled and kicked Xena to the ground. She stood over Emily and she leaped forward, attacking Xena, ripping through her shoulder and side.

Xena howled and tried to kick Waya off, but it was futile. Waya dug her claws into her face and bit onto her muzzle, then she shoved to the ground and two or three females stood between her and whimpering Xena. Waya hissed angerily and walked toward them, but she was pushed back as the rest of the females stood in front of Waya.

Were they going to attack her for protecting her friend? She growled, then she saw Roxie; one of the wolves standing in front of Xena bow down and tilted her neck to the side, revealing her throat. Waya took a step back by surprise.

Two other females did the same as Roxie. Waya shook her head and she turned to Emily. Unforantly, she was doing the same thing as the whole pack; even the males did this. She turned around, seeing the males standing behind her. The whole pack rised and stepped backwards and like the Red Sea parted at the middle.

Down the middle, standing proudly was Lee. She shook her head in disbelief. She had accidently crowned herself as Alpha Female; Lee's mate. She growled defiantly. Lee smiled, enjoying her defiance.

To crown a queen, you must catch a queen! she growled and ran toward Lee, but ran straight past him. Lee watched her disappear into the forest and he gave after her. She could hear his breath panting behind her as if he enjoyed seeing her run and himself give chase to claim her.

Waya turned fast, running deep into the forests' shadows. She darted into a den and curled in the back. She shivered, she couldn't believe these events. She whimpered in fear and saddness and closed her eyes, giving into sleep....

Lee panted and stopped at the den that Waya was taking shelter in. He smirked and layed down, watching the entrance and waited for her....
