eyes off Dingo as he slowly approached.
"I'm just curious that's all. You don't need to be afraid, I won't hurt you" Dingo smiled at the pup, who continued to scowl at him.
The pup huffed "I've heard that before. Don't come any closer, I'm warning you!" he let out a growl, startling Dingo.
"Okay, okay. I'll stay still. I just want to talk to you that's all"
The pup continued to glare at Dingo, all the time trying to remain standing on his trembling legs. It was obvious to Dingo that the pup was terrified despite his aggressive act.
"What makes you think I wanna talk to you? I don't even know you" the pup growled, still trying to sound fierce.
Dingo opened his mouth to speak, but he never got the chance as the pup suddenly collapsed to the floor. Dingo ran over and knelt down to check on the pups breathing. It was faint, but he was still alive. Dingo sighed with relief, before coming to a decision.
Carefully gripping the pup in his mouth, Dingo padded out of the alley.

He had been watching his target for a while now, and he was ready to make a move.
From his lookout point, he watched as the door to the boiler room opened and a female malamute padded outside. He watched as she exchanged a brief kiss with the other occupant of the room, before padding away down the street. He grinned from within the shadows.
"Show time" he sniggered.
As he stepped out of the alley, his movements fluid and sharp, he approached the closed door of the boiler room. Silently, he pressed his ear against the door and listened. A satisfied smirk spread across his face, and with a quick glance sideways down the street, he reared himself up and kicked open the door with one sharp kick.
His target stared at him wide-eyed with horror as he stepped inside the room.
"Who...who are you?" Lance squeaked, not noticing his back beginning to burn as he backed against the boiler.
Frost grinned savagely "Frost. And I want answers"
Lance began to shiver as Frost slammed the door shut, and advanced on him.

Jenna was looking outside her window. Outside, it was beginning to snow lightly. She glanced down the street, expecting to see Kodi and Balto approaching. But the only person she knew who was outside was Star, hurriedly making his way to somewhere or other.
Jenna sighed. Kodi was running late, something that didn't happen often, and she was beginning to worry. She had been doing a lot of that recently, as had alto, and she didn't like it.
Mostly, she was worried about Saba, and how she was coping with life in the wolf clan. Jenna worried constantly about how she was doing, after all it wasn't every day your daughter left to start life anew in a wolf pack with a mate who had beforehand attempted to murder her other daughter and instate a monster as ruler. Jenna now knew what Chris was really like, and how he had put all that behind him, but she still felt uneasy. Then again, she had felt uneasy when Kodi and Dusty had first gotten together, so that was nothing new.
She turned away from the window and padded over to the fireplace, its warm glow reflecting off her fur. She lay down on the floor, her head on her paws, and let out a sigh.
"I hope your okay Saba. I miss you so much" she said, gazing into the fire.
Her thoughts were interupted by a scratching sound at the door. She stood up and glanced at the clock. It said 4:27.
She padded over to the door and nudged it open.
Dingo was standing on the porch, his fur speckled with snow, and in his mouth was a scrawny little pup.
"Dingo? What on earth happened?" Jenna asked as Dingo padded inside.
"I found him in an alleyway behind the butchers. He fell unconscious when I was talking to him" Dingo replied as he crossed to the fireplace and gently lay the pup on the floor.
Jenna looked down at the pup "He's so thin. Poor thing mustn't of eaten for days"
Dingo nodded "He was scrounging round the bins when I found him. He must be pretty desperate if he was prepared to eat that stuff" he scrunched up his face in disgust.
Both canines looked down sharply as the pup let out a ragged cough, and Jenna noticed for the first time the litany of scratches and dried blood on his small frame.
"Oh the poor thing, he's hurt" Jenna lay down beside the pup, and carefully began licking at the wounds. The pup whimpered softly as her tongue cleaned the wounds.
"He must have gotten into a few scraps" Dingo remarked.
Jenna stood up "He looks so identical to your father"
Dingo nodded "So, what do we do?"
Jenna thought for a moment "Well, we can't just allow him to continue roaming around town in his condition. He must be starving, and those wounds will need time to heal"
"So," Dingo said. "We let him stay?"
Jenna nodded "For the time being. Once he wakes up we'll tell him"
"What about Dad?" Dingo asked.
"He'll understand" Jenna replied.

Lance staggered back, blood pouring from his mouth as Frost delivered another blow to his face.
"Where is he?" Frost growled, smacking Lance round the muzzle and kicking him in the chest which sent him collapsing to the floor.
"I shan't ask you again" Frost snarled, kicking Lance in the chest. Lance felt his lungs burn as the air was knocked out of them. He coughed, dripping blood onto the floor as Frost picked him up and pinned him against the wall.
"Where is Dingo?" the German Shepherd growled, his claws digging into Lance's skin.
Lance struggled to get his breath, his muzzle burning. Blood was trickling from a wound above his eye, and his legs were shaking. He yelped in agony as Frost smacked him across the muzzle, causing his head to impact with the wall.
"You think I'm joking, huh? You know nothing! I can make things easy for you, or they can get exceedingly more painful!" Frost bared his teeth, and Lance recoiled at how viciously sharp they were.
"I don't...I don't know...where he is" Lance panted.
"Liar!" Frost yelled, flinging Lance against the boiler, burning his leg as it made contact with the hot metal. Lance didn't feel like he could move again as Frost approached.
"You think I'm playing games? I'll show you playing games!" he growled, kicking Lance against the wall. Lance coughed blood as he tried to get to his feet.
"You've got sixteen toes on your feet Lance. How would you like me to remove them one at a time, huh?" Frost smirked. Lance shook his head to clear his spinning vision.
"Start talking, or I'll tear you apart" Frost leered at him.
Lance met his gaze, spat on the floor, and passed out on the floor.
Frost inhaled deeply, shaking his head. He gazed up at the ceiling.
"I'm sorry Carver. I'll get him, I promise" he frowned. He cast a look back at Lance's limp form, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Have it your way Lance, but you've just signed away some other unfortunate souls life"
Glancing outside at the street, Frost's eyes lit up as he spotted a female husky padding towards the boiler room.
"That's just perfect" he said to himself, starting to laugh uncontrollably. He managed to stop himself as he stepped behind the door, holding his paw in front of his muzzle.
The door opened, and the husky padded inside. Her eyes widened in horror as she noticed Lance's bleeding form against the wall.
"Oh my God!" she said, running over to him. Her head snapped up as the door slammed shut, and Frost emerged from behind it.
"Who...who are you?" she stammered.
Frost walked slowly up to her, the light from the boiler illuminating against his jacket. He grinned at her, revealing his fangs.
"Would you believe...The Big Bad Wolf?" he sniggered.
She screamed as Frost lunged for her throat.

Balto and Kodi padded softly through the snow that had just started to fall. There was a storm approaching, that Balto was certain on. Still, the night was clear and he was eagerly awaiting his walk with Jenna. They hadn't had much time alone together in the past month, and it would be good to get out for a while and enjoy each others company.
As they past the boiler room, Kodi couldn't help noticing that the door was ajar.
"Thats funny" he muttered. Balto perked his ears up.
"What is?"
Kodi gestured to the boiler room "The door's ajar, and its freezing out here"
"It's not that cold surely?" Balto said. Kodi shrugged.
"Maybe" he muttered, but his tone of voice made it clear that he wasn't convinced.
"So," Balto began "When are you and Dusty going to..." he left the sentence hanging with a wry smile.
Kodi smiled "As I told Kirby and Ralph, thats for me to know and you to find out"
Balto chuckled "Okay, just curious thats all. You and her seem so close I thought it was inevitable that you'd ask her at some point"
"We are close, but when the times right I'll ask her, and not before" Kodi replied.
Balto nodded "Okay. Your an adult now, and you don't have to tell me everything"
Kodi smirked "Too right"
"But," Balto said. "Don't hesistate to ask me if you want any questions answered, okay?"
Kodi nodded "Sure thing Dad. You'll be the first to know"
As they approached Jenna's house, the wind began to pick up.
"Come on Kodi, your
