happier"

"Why's that? What's going on?" Balot asked.

Kirby patted Kodi on the shoulder "Our little Kodi's all grown up!"

"Pass me a tissue, I'm getting emotional!" Ralph faked crying.

Kodi sighed "Knock it off guys, please?"

Balto looked round at each dog in turn "What's going on here?" he asked.

Kodi smiled "Dad, your gonna be a Grandpa"

Balto's eyes widened in shock "What?"

"Dusty just got checked by the vet. I'm gonna be a Dad!" Kodi beamed.

There were barks of applause from Kirby, Ralph and Louis as Balto let this sink in. When it had, he nuzzled Kodi.

"That's wonderful Kodi! I'm so proud of you" he smiled warmly.

"Thanks Dad" Kodi said.

"So, is it too early to be thinking about names?" Chester asked.

"How about Ralph?" Ralph put in.

Louis stared at him in horror "Are you mad? And ruin that kid as soon as he's born? Have you no heart Ralph?"

Everyone laughed, except Ralph of course.

"So, have any of you guys seen Dingo at all?" Balto asked.

Kodi's smile faded "Actually, I've not seen him for a while. Have you guys?"

Kirby shook his head "I've not seen him at all"

"Nor me" Louis replied.

Ralph just shook his head.

Balto turned to Chester "You don't think...?"

Chester chewed his lip "I don't want to Balto, but it's a possibility"

Balto turned to Kodi "Kodi, I want you to go to your mothers house and stay there unti lI come back"

"But Dad, what about Dusty?" Kodi asked.

"Take her with you. Just stay there until I get back, promise me?"

Kodi nodded "Okay Dad, whatever you say"

Balto smiled faintly "Thanks Kodi. Come on Chester"

The two dogs padded off quickly down the street. Kodi turned to the others.

"What was that about?" he asked.

Kirby shrugged "Search me. But it sounded serious"

"Yeah, it did" Kodi agreed.

"They look as if they'd seen Bad Wolf himself!" Louis remarked.

"Come on Kodi, lets go get Dusty yeah?" Kirby said, leading Kodi towards the vets.

Ralph turned towards Louis.

"What's wrong with Ralph anyway?"

--------------------------------------------

Balto and Chester ran down the street, kicking up snow as they went.

"So tell me Chester, if you were Frost, and you had Dingo, where would you go?"

Chester frowned in thought "I'd take him somewhere he knew. Somewhere...important to him"

Both of them came to a screeching halt.

"The factory!" they said in unison.

--------------------------------------------

"That's it! Just one...more...hit!"

Dingo grunted in pain as he impacted with the door one final time, before it came off it's hinges with a shudder. He stood panting, his shoulder burning in pain, then turned to Heather.

"Remember the plan. I'll get Elliot, and then the two of you run towards town. Go to the old mill, Doc'll look after you until I get there. Okay?"

Heather nodded, padding over and nuzzling him.

"Be careful Dingo" she said, a tear dripping onto his fur.

"I will, I promise" he said.

Heather didn't look convinced, but still licked him once on the cheek.

Dingo frowned at the hanging door "Okay. Lets go!"

Dingo leapt out of the room, Heather behind him. Dingo navigated through the dark corridors, remembering the route as best he could.

He came to a skidding halt at the end of the corridor as he saw what was in front of him.

The rotten roof had finally caved in, leaving a large hole from which sunlight shone through onto the floor. Dingo felt nauseas as he saw what was on the floor underneath it.

"No" he whispered in horror.

On the floor, the sunlight illuminating it, was Elliot. He was lying on his side, a large pool of blood underneath him. One of his legs was lying at an odd angle, obviously broken, and Dingo could tell he wasn't breathing.

He perked his ears up as the sound of laughter echoed through the huge room. Evil laughter.

"I think I might have gone a little too hard"

Dingo looked up at the gantry, his eyes ablaze. Leaning over the gantry, his teeth glistening, was Frost. As Dingo watched, Frost got to his feet and walked down the stairs and down to the lower chamber.

"I knew you'd get out of that cell eventually Dingo, so I prepared a little surprise for you. Do you like it?" Frost grinned demonically.

Dingo felt rage like he'd never felt before boiling inside him. He felt tears begin to form in his eyes at the loss of his new friend, but his eyes stared riggidly at Frost.

"I'll kill you for that!" he growled, taking a step forwards.

Frost flexxed his claws "Ooh, I'm so scared!" he chuckled.

"Elliot!" Heather's voice snapped Dingo from his stare, and he felt his heart sink as he saw Heather's face as she ran up to Elliot's body.

"Oh Elliot! Please, please don't die! Please!" she buried her head in his fur, staining her face with his blood. Her sobs echoed round the room.

Frost stifled a laugh with his paw "Such a touching moment. He put up a good fight, I'll give him that" he smirked.

"SHUT UP!" Dingo yelled. Frost's head snapped back round. "DON'T YOU EVEN TALK ABOUT HIM YOU EVIL SON OF A BITCH!"

Frost's guard slipped for a split second, before his eyes turned cold.

"That's payback for all the pain you caused me Dingo! And I'm gonna finish it, now!"

Dingo held his ground as Frost flexxed his razor sharp claws.

"Heather! Go, now!" he yelled.

Heather remained rigged for a few seconds, before sprinting out of the chamber. Frost stared after her.

"Now that's clever Dingo. Let the girl run, hmm? No matter, I'll get her after I've finished with you!"

Dingo lowered himself into a fighting stance, his eyes firmly on Frost. Frost chuckled darkly.

"This seems familiar Dingo, but there'll be a different outcome this time!"

Dingo charged at Frost, his eyes ablaze. Frost jumped, sidestepping Dingo, before lashing out with his claws. Dingo felt a searing pain as they raked across his back, before he elt his legs give way underneath him. He staggered to his feet as Frost reared up.

"This ends now" he thought.

Dingo felt his anger rising, all the pent up emotions within him pumping through his head. Frost raised an eyebrow.

"What the hell?"

Before he could react, Dingo charged at the German Shepherd, swiping at his face and chest. Dingo felt each hit as he impacted Frost, drawing blood. Frost lashed out with a paw, and Dingo grabbed him round the leg. He felt the teeth go straight to the bone.

Frost yelled as blood seeped from the wound, but Dingo didn't let go. He began shaking his head side to side, feeling the bones grate against his teeth. He felt a pop, and Frost's leg snapped.

Frost stumbled backwards, blood seeping from the many slash wounds round his face and leg. One of his eyes had been punctured by Dingo's claws, blood trickling down his face in a river.

"I...I..." Frost stammered, his teeth shattered from Dingo's onslaught.

Dingo charged him again, this time colliding with Frost around the chest, and sending them both careening across the floor. Frost lashed out with his good leg, catching Dingo across the face, and slashing at his eye. Dingo yelped as a claw caught him under the eye, blood seeping into it. He raised his paw and slammed it down, hitting Frost round the throat. The German Shepherd coughed as the air was knocked out of him. He stumbled backwards and fell against the wall, knocking a pipe loose.

Dingo padded slowly up to him, wincing from the pain in his eye. Frost turned to him, his face battered and bleeding.

"Please?" he whispered hoarsely.

Dingo shook his head. Frost growled.

"I'll get you for this...Dingo. I'll...kill you!"

Dingo fliched back as Frost snapped his jaws inches from his face, staggering to his feet at the same time. His broken leg impacted with the floor.

Frost screamed in pain, and fell backwards. Dingo heard a squelching pop as he hit the wall, and he felt his blood freeze at what had happened.

Frost had falllen back onto the broken pipe, and it had penetrated through his body. The broken end had impaled him through the chest, and thick dark blood was quickly seeping from the wound. Frost's eyes widened, and his face paled. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing but blood escaped his throat.

Dingo felt sick as Frost slumped against the wall, blood still pumping from the gaping hole in his chest. His eyes glazed over, and he went limp.

Dingo sighed, and wiped away the blood that was oozing from his damaged eye. It stung badly, and he knew it would have to be checked. But right now, he was just happy to be alive.

He looked back at Elliot's body, and felt a tear trickle down his

I liked this one as well as the others ;) Now I know the history of The Pack, but good, you left room for another sequel! I just hope it doesn't start out with murders again...no offense but it's getting kind of old. And WHAT'S gonna happen to Vance??! I still remember what Grant did to him in Return Threat! Anyhoo, keep up the good work, chum!:P
