Iceberg and smacked him. Then she ran off. Iceberg had this look of confusion on his face. All Runningwind could do was sit and watch. He felt a sensation of pain cross his face before he realized Sunset smacked him. “Why did you have to stick your big muzzle into this Iceberg wasn’t cheating on any body. He had an arranged mate and didn’t want to be with howling wind anymore because he didn’t want to feel bad when he had to meet his mate!”

Everyone in the clan was staring at him. Runningwind didn’t know what to say. He started backing away shaking his head. “No” gasped from his lips.

He took off ruing to the human town. He had to talk to Balto. Runningwind didn’t know what to say. The dog house was packed with dogs. “Is Balto in here!” He yelled.

Balto came forward. “What happened/” He asked.

Runningwind was so ashamed. He lowered himself before Balto and cried. “It’s all my fault. I ruined everything!”

“Slow down theres.” Said a Dog.

“Yes,” Said Balto, “What are you talking about?”

“Balto, I disgraced the wolf goddess Eniu herself. I made a terrible mistake. I asked Sunset about it and now…”

Runningwind couldn’t go on.

“Oh, I see. You didn’t wait?” Asked Balto.

“No, I’m afraid not. I cause trouble no Howlingwind is missing.”

“Howlingwind is missing. Stay here I’m going to help find her. Jenna, take care of him!” Balto shouted as he ran.

I looked at Jenna. She had a look of concern in her face. “What’s going on?”

Runningwind told her the whole painful story of how his big fat muzzle made a mess of everything. “I don’t think even Eniu will for give me.” He said.

“I’m sure she will.” Said Kodi.

“Well I think you out to be ashamed!” Said A female dog.

“Shhhhhhh!” An elderly dog. “Dixie don’t start now.”

“I can’t stand this any longer. I’m going to find her.” Said Runningwind.

“Don’t dad will come back and take you to the clan when they find her.” Said Kodi.

“I can’t wait.” He shouted as he started to run. “I’ve got to find her!”

Meanwhile Balto came running down the forest. “Skylar, I’ve come to help!” He shouted.

“How did you know?” Asked Skylar.

“Runningwind came to me and told me everything and I must say he feels so bad.”

“I should think so!” Said Iceberg.

“Everyone is out looking now.” Said Darkcloud.

“Okay, I’ll stay behind incase she comes back.” Said Sunsky.

The three wolves(Or two wolves and one half wolf.) took off.

“Oh, that stupid wolf!” Shouted Kodi. “I have to go find him and bring him back.”

“No, Runningwind may not always use his head but he knows how to defend himself if caught by another pack. You don’t even know the Forgotten clan territory.” Said Jenna.

“She’s right.” Said Doc, the very old dog.

“Mom, dad told him to stay here. So what if they find her and dad comes back and he has to go look for him then. So I got to do something.”

“You make a good point.” Said Dusty, a mail dog.

“I am going to find him.”

“I don’t think so.” Said a wolf at the door. She was white and looked like she glided as she walk up to them. “Runningwind must mend his mistake. He must do this on his own. He’ll set things right.” Her vioce was strange and mythical.

“Who are you?” Asked Jenna.

“Who I am is not important. Kodiak must stay here.” She said. She walk out of the room. Leaving all the dogs confused but they obeyed.

“Runningwind ran as fast as he could. The pine trees seemed to always be in his way. He ran for awhile then stopped. “This is useless.” He moaned.

He looked up to see a white wolf was standing on a rock above him. She was encouraging him. He knew this but he did not know how he knew. He just did. He looked at her amber eyes and nodded. Runningwind took off again.

He ran a ways when he saw Howlingwind.

“Howlingwind!” He cried. “I am so sorry. All Raindaze said was a lie. I misheard what Coldsnow and Sunset said. When I asked about it she over heard and spread the word. It was all my fault and now the entire clan is looking for you.” It all came out and Howlingwind smiled.

“I believe you.” She said. “I do forgive you and now we must find the clans.”

They took off together and Runningwind was never as happy as he was now. A strange feeling came over him aside of relief. A burning sensation.

They found Nightskys party and went back to the grounds. Soon the wolves of the Forgotten clan came. Each relieved.

The next day Balto got up to go home. Runingwind came up to him. “I cannot thank you enough.”

“It was all your doing. You found Howlingwind and made it right.” Said Balto. “Are you doing anything today?”

“Well I am kinda busy.” He said Blushing.

“Yeah, what?”

Howlingwind came next to him and said. “Come on Runningwind.”

They both said bye to Balto. He shook his head. “I’ll never know how they got together” He smiled.
