Kida:"Look, how many times must I tell you: I DO NOT WANT TO DANCE RIGHT NOW! Ok, alright, goodbye!"

Rex:"But.."

Kida:"NO!"

 

 

 

 

Rex walked away, angry as usual. Kida and Lanna were sitting around, tired from

 

all the dancing they had done.

 

 

 

 

 

Zeeke and Hunter reached the edge of the forest that evening. They walked into

 

the town like a couple of street dogs, avoiding the open streets and sticking close

 

together. After a while, they came across two female huskys, one gray and one

 

white.

 

 

White Husky: "Hi guys! Why aren't ya'll at the party down the street?"

Zeeke: "Oh, were not from around here, miss."

Hunter: (In a whisper) "Zeeke, maybe we could find your friend there! Let's check it out!"

Gray Husky: " We would gladly show you guys how to get there, if ya'll like. How 'bout it?"

Zeeke: "Alright, sounds great."

 

 

They arrived at the two story house, which was packed with dogs. The two weren't

 

sure if they could blend in with the crowd, since they were both much larger than

 

your average housedog. To their suprise, they walked in almost unnoticed.

 

 

 

Zeeke: "If she's anywhere in this town, she should be here."

 

 

Zeeke looked around and then he saw the most beautiful creature he had ever

 

layed eyes on. She looked back at him and smiled. They both sat there, staring at

 

one another.

 

Lanna: (nudging her) "Well, what are you waiting for, talk to him!"

Kida: "Um, what do I say?"

Lanna: "How about starting with 'Hello'?"

 

 

Kida walked up to him with a friendly hello.

 

 

Zeeke: "Hi. I, I'm Zeeke."

Kida: " Kida, nice to meet you."

Zeeke: " Same here. You are very beautiful, Kida."

Kida: "Thank you, your so sweet."

 

 

While Zeeke and Kida talked to each other, Hunter gazed over at Lanna.

 

 

Lanna looked over at him and giggled. Hunter walked over to Lanna as they

 

exchanged names.

 

Lanna:"So, are you from around here, Hunter?"

Hunter:"Nope, just in town for a bit, my friend's looking for someone."

Lanna:"Oh, strange, so is mine..."

 

 

Meanwhile, Zeeke and Kida walked outside the house to be alone. Looking down

 

upon them was Rex. He was glaring down from the attic window.

 

 

 

Kida: " Do you live in town?"

Zeeke: "No, I live in the forest. I, I'm a wolf."

Kida: "Really?!? So am I! I'm just petite, I was a runt."

Zeeke: "So Kida, if you are a wolf, why do you live in town?"

Kida: "Well, my mother was killed by my father, and so I ran off. I did have this one friend, though, but I can't remember his name..."

Zeeke: " Kida, this is gunna sound weird, but I feel like I know you somehow..."

Kida: " Yeah..."

 

Kida looks down at Zeeke's paw with the bandage around it. She looked up at

 

him.

 

Kida: "What happened to your paw, Zeeke?"

Zeeke: (looking down) "Well, when I was little,my parents fought off a grizzly..."

Kida: " To protect me and you..."

Zeeke: (looks at Kida) " What?"

 

Tears were flowing down her blonde fur as she smiled at Zeeke.

 

Kida: "Your the one, the one I've been serching for! I remember everything now! Your mother's name was Raven, and your father was Skyler, is that right?"

 

Zeeke: "Yes, your her! Kida, my old friend! I can't believe it's you!"

 

The two friends quickly embraced and nuzzled one another. Kida then looked up

 

at Zeeke and kissed him.

 

 

Rex saw this and sped off towards the back door.

 

 

Rex: "Kida, what are you doing!?! Who is this!"

 

 

Kida pulled away from Zeeke as she glared at Rex.

 

Kida: "What are you doing out here! Don't you ever get tired of following me?!?!"

Rex: "I'll never stop following you, not until you give in!"

Kida: " I've found the one, Rex, and nothing you say is gunna change that! I will NEVER be with you, so get that through your thick head!!! "

 

 

Rex snapped, and with all his being, he attacked Kida. She fell to the ground

 

while Rex snarled and clawed at her. With his teeth, he grabbed her by the neck

 

and pinned her to the ground. Shocked at what had happend so fast, Zeeke was

 

barely quick enough to save her. Nevertheless, he slashed Rex again and again

 

until he had blood gushing out of his wounds. He retaliated, then ran off. He

 

limped badly as he reached the edge of the woods behind the house. Zeeke,

 

shaking all over, looked down at where Kida lay. Lanna, Hunter, and many others

 

rushed out to see what was going on. In the garden, they saw Zeeke laying beside

 

Kida, crying and talking to himself.

 

Zeeke: " Why. Why wasn't I quick enough to save her!"

 

He looked up and screamed to the heavens.

 

Zeeke: "AFTER ALL I'VE BEEN THROUGH, IS THIS WHAT I DESERVE!"

 

Panic-stricken, Lanna rushed over to them.

 

Lanna: " Kida?" (looks at Zeeke) "Who are you..... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?!"

 

Zeeke, crying uncontrolably, couldn't answer her. 

Hunter: "Zeeke, wha.... what's going on?"

 

Lanna didn't understand. She had thought Zeeke had killed Kida. She looked at

 

him with anger and rage. He backed away from Kida as Lanna came towards him.

 

Lanna: "Look what you've done! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!?!"

Zeeke: "But, I....."

 

Unnoticed, Kida sat up. She was virtually untouched, with the acception of a few

 

scratches here and there. She had simply passed out, that was all.

 

Kida:" He didn't do it! Rex did!"

 

Everyone looked over at her in shock, for everyone had thought she was dead.

 

This had definatly shocked Zeeke as he ran to her.

 

Zeeke: " My angel, your safe! I can't belive you survived! I thought I was too late!"

Kida looked up at him.

 

Kida: "You were just in time..."

 

They kissed as everyone watched. Lanna and the others ran over to Kida to hug

 

her and tell her how worried they were.

 

Lanna: " Kida, I can't believe Rex attacked you! I'm so glad your ok!"

Zeeke: " Me, too! I... I love you, Kida!"

Kida: "I love you, too!"

 

After everything was settle again, things began to lighten up. The party

 

continued, and Zeeke was right beside Kida the entire time. Lanna, on the other

 

hand, was with Hunter. They had become quite fond of one another over the

 

night. After the party was over and everyone had left, Kida and Zeeke strayed off

 

 

into the woods. They didn't return...

 

As the sun peaked over the mountain top, Lanna and Hunter awoke to see that

 

Kida and Zeeke were still away in the woods.

 

Lanna: " Where are those two? I figured they be back by NOW!"

Hunter: "Well, they probably..."

Lanna: (rolling her eyes) "Don't even say it, I know what your thinking!"

 

Lanna and Hunter then decide to check on them, just in case. They found them

 

both, lying in a cavern close together.

 

Hunter:" Wake up, you two love birds!"

Lanna: "Come on, you two!"

 

Kida and Zeeke awoke and greeted them unpleasantly.

 

Hunter:" Oh, ok! I see whats goin' on here..."

Kida: "Yeah, we want to go to sleep...."

Lanna: (To Hunter) "Don't worry, she's always this cranky when she has to get up.... GET UP!!!"

 

Startled, Kida gets up. Zeeke gets up, as well.

 

Zeeke:" Fine! Come on, let's go for a walk Kida..."

Lanna:" Oh, no! We've been through this before! Nope, were going with you guys."

Hunter:" Yeah, no more of this running away nonsence!"

 

Kida and Zeeke agree that they all walk through the woods together. Looking

 

back, Kida spots two, brown eyes looking dead at her. It was the same pair she had

 

seen the other day. She crept quietly towards the bush as the eyes disappeared. She

 

quickened her pace towards the bush and spotted the creature the eyes belonged to.

 

The creature ran away quickly through the dense woods. She heard a thud as it hit

 

the ground hehind a tree. She braced herself and looked behind it. She gasped at

 

what she had seen. It was a gray and white wolf. It was her father.

 

The others called for her and looked behind the tree to see her standing there,

 

looking down. They saw the gray and white wolf, as well.

 

Kida: "Dad?"

 

He didn't answer her. Instead, he looked away in tears. He was filled with mixed

 

emotions.

 

Kade: " Kida, it's me!"

He went over to nuzzle her, but she abruptly backed away from him.

 

Kida: "Stay away!"

 

Confused, he asked her what was wrong.

 

Kida: " You should know, you were the one who ruined my life. You murded her,
