Stacy yawned "I think he'll be happy. But, there's only one way to find out!"
Chester nodded "Shall we?" he gestured outside.
Stacy smiled "Lets"

Balto smiled as Chester and Stacy padded over. They were all gathered inside the main chamber, Kodi, Dusty, Lance, Saba, Chris, Dingo, Ralph, himself and Jenna, all awaiting the big news they're friend was about to announce.
"Everyone," Chester began. "As you know, I took up the job as head of this clans security team to fight in the war. I thought that it would only be temporary. But, after much thought, I've decided that this is too much of a responsibility to simply throw aside at the first chance I have. As you all well know, I'm a dog who likes to stick to his guns"
This brought a chuckle to everyone’s lips. Chester smiled.
"I've spoken to Aleu, and she has talked it over with the council, and it is now official...Stacy and me are now full-fledged members of this clan"
There was a slight silence, before there was a roar of barking applause from everyone inside the chamber. Everyone cheered and happily moved around the canine couple.
"Chester," Lance smirked. "Your a wolf buddy!"
Chester laughed "Thanks Lance. Your remarks are most welcome" he smirked slyly.
Jenna hugged Stacy with a paw over her shoulder "Congratulations. How do you feel?" she asked.
Stacy smiled "It's a completely new start for us. Aleu said she'd help train me to be more wolf-like, and the kids too. It's really exciting!"
Balto slapped Chester round the back "Well Chester, as I said before. I know Aleu is in safe hands with you at the helm"
Chester smiled proudly "Thank you Balto. That means a lot to me"
Saba watched as Chester and Stacy were swamped with further congratulations and words of encouragement.
"I'm really happy for them" Saba said. Chris smiled next to her.
"I am too. Chester's a great team leader" he nuzzled her affectionately.
Saba smiled. She couldn't be happier even if she tried.
The day after the war, after the Zanik had acknowledged their loyalty to Aleu and had been accepted into the clan, Chris had asked her to stay with him in the clan. She hadn't needed to be asked twice.
Her eyes passed over Lance, and she smiled. She knew that Lance had feelings for her, he had told her himself, and she really didn't want to hurt him. But, he had told her-
"Saba, when you're happy, I'm happy. That's all that matters"
She was glad they were still friends. He was returning to Nome along with her parents, Dingo, Ralph, Kodi and Dusty, and she hoped that he would meet someone who would make him as happy as she was.
She sighed in content as Chris nuzzled her between the ears.
She was happy. Happier than she had ever been in her life.
