"Miss Clamkey, it's a terrible night to be out." Faith said. Caroline sat by the window and responded, "I've never seen a hurricane before." Charity piped up, "It's not much to see. Just a lot of wind and rain." Faith asked, "Could we get anything for you before you go to bed?" Caroline answered, "It's too early for bed. I think I'll sit and do some crossword puzzles." Charity picked up a thick book of crosswords and handed it to Caroline. Caroline begins to work on a puzzle as Faith started to dust. Faith picked up knitting from a basket and started to work more on the scarf she was making. Thunder clashed as a clown walked into the lobby. Faith looked up and she became terrified. "Charity...." Charity answered without looking up, "Yes, Faith?"

"Charity?" Charity growled under her breath, "What is it?" She looked up and screamed. Caroline whipped around and screamed also. The clown leaped and grabbed Caroline and threw her on its back. "Help someone!" Faith shouted. Caroline try to nip her kidnapper but it threw the French window open and laughed. The wind whipped in and Caroline struggled. The clown hops out of the window, as Faith screamed, "Not the cliff!" The Papillons grabbed Caroline's paws. But their little paws could not hang on for long. "Don't let go!" Caroline whispered softly as she hung on the railing with all her might. But the clown pulled hard and the 2 tumbled over the cliff side and fell into the ocean below. Sam & Horace busted in. Faith & Charity sank to the floor and cried. "What happened?" Sam asked. "It's Miss Clamskey! She's been kidnapped!" Faith wailed. Horace stood shocked, "Kidnapped? Who did it?" Charity answered weakly, "A clown!" "Stop being funny." Sam said. Sam went out of the window and onto the small cliff. He looked down then jumped back into the window. Charity snapped, "We saw it! It was a horrible clown!" They could hear a scream from down below. Thunder cracked, lighting whipped the sky, and wind blew hard as Faith closed the window.
