Red Eyes.

The barking of the hounds, I can hear behind me.

The pounding feet of the man, I can hear behind me.

I run from him, I run from man and his beasts.

I killed his son, for revenge of my pups and mate.

Now he tries to kill me, but I'm too fast.

Running, running, running for my life.

Running from the red eyes of death.

KABLAM!!!

I feel his bullet pierce through my shoulder and I fall.

KABLAM, KABLAM, KABLAM!!!

Three more bullets pierce my brown pelt, that is now stained with my blood.

One bullet through my spine.

One through my other shoulder.

And the last bullet, right through my skull.

Drakness floods my eyes, and I feel blood leaking from my mouth onto the green grass.

When I wake, I see a black wolf.

No detail in it, no fur, just a black wolf with red eyes like blood.

I know this wolf, he's in many stories from my pack.

The Black Wolf of Death.

I see him now, clear as day.

My time has come, he's here to take me away with him.

"Jukula."

He calls my name.

"Do you know who I am Jukula?"

"Yes,"

I reply.

"Come with me Jukula, come with me to my pack. I would be happy if you joined."

He gave me the offer. I know there's nothing else to do but to accept.

"Yes my lord."

I leave my body where it is and walk with the black wolf.

I turn and look abck at my body, and see a tan with a brown spot on her chest, puppy sniffing my body.

The pup whined and pawed at my head.

I knew the pup.

That pup, was my daughter, Lunitone.

Her name meant 'Blood Warrior.'

She survived the human attack.

Tears formed at my eyes, and I knew I couldn't go and help her, or comfort her.

She was alone now, with no brothers or sisters, mother or father.

She was alone now.

She'll be lucky to survive in the world now.

She'll have to fight, hunt, and run by herself now.

"She will become a great warrior, and leader."

The black wolf said, looking at my daughter.

"That is all I'll say." and we disappeared like shadows, never seeing the world again.
