The Truth

Don't worry, i'm working on a story about Auroa and Kodi having puppies.

A sled team was pulling a sled with Nome's mail on it. Kodi was the new lead dog of the team, and they were making their last delivery to Nome, and then their job would be done. Kodi could see the town and he started to howl to tell the town that the mail dogs were coming, and on time. Ever since Kodi had become lead dog, the mail has been either on time or early. His team didn't mind, even Kirby who used to be the lead dog; at least they were confident that no one would try to take their jobs. The team stopped in front of the town's post office where they took off their harnesses and drank water, "Hey Koid," Kodi looked up from his drinking bowl and saw that it was Dusty who had spoken, "you wanna do somethin' tonight?"

"With you and the team?" he replied.

"Well...no just you and me," he said sheepishly pawing at the snow. Kodi sighed, "Sorry Dusty; I already have plans," she stopped pawing at the ground and looked stratled and angry, "Plans?" she said in astonishment, "with who?!"

"Kodi!" another voice yelled over the talking of dogs. Kodi turned and saw his mate, Auroa standing next to Balto and Jenna. Kodi just couldn't stop staring at Auroa's sapphire-like eyes and didn't even turn to look at Dusty when he spoke, "I have plans with her," and he ran toward Auroa, nuzzling her and happy to see her. They walked off out of sight from the others, and Dusty was shocked. She and the team didn't know that Kodi had a girlfriend! She ran over to the others and told them about Kodi's secret. They weren't as shocked as Dusty, but still rather shocked. Kodi never told them, in all the time they've been friends, that he had a grilfriend, "Well," Kirby said not minding the idea at all, "it's about time he got a girl, he started to look a bit...ummmm how do I say it?.....depressed that one time for seven days."

"Yeah but he got better on the eighth day remember?" Dusty argued.

"Well maybe that's when he met her," Ralph butted in, "We should go and meet her the next if it's alright with Kodi. We don't know what she's like and he might ask the question one day too," they all agreed to do so tomorrow when they were done with their jobs.

The next day when the mail team was done with their jobs, Kirby went up to Kodi and asked, "Is it okay if we meet your girlfriend? 'Cause you never told us about her before," Kodi was shocked at the question.

"She's not my girlfriend; but you're right I should've told you guys about her earler," Dusty was happy that Kodi didn't have a girlfriend; and as she walked up to him the same she-wolf-dog came up to see Kodi, but instead of a plain neck, she had something purple around her neck, "What is that?" Dusty asked in curiousity. Kodi started to blush a bit.

"I gave her that," he said paeing at the ground in nervousness.

"But...." Kirby stuttered, "But I thought you said she wasn't your-" Kodi interuppted him.

"I did," he said.

"Hey Kodi," the wolf-dog said walking up to Kodi, "Is this your team?"

"Yeah, they are; let me introduce you them. This is Kirby, Ralph, and Dusty my three friends," Ralph and Kirby were still puzzled on what Kodi had meant, but Dusty knew that if that wolf-dog wasn't his grilfriend, then she was his mate, "Guys, this is Auroa," Kodi said introducing Auroa to the others, "She's also my mate," Ralph and Kirbys' jaws dropped in shock. Kodi stared at them in curiousity, "You guys okay?" Dusty stomped up to Kodi and yelled, "OKAY? OKAY!? WE'RE NOT OKAY!! YOU NEVER TOLD US YOU HAD A MATE; OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE ASKED YOU OUT YESTERDAY!!" Dusty ran off toward the woods crying. Auroa was shocked and looked at Kodi in disappointment.

"You never told them?! I thought you already told them about us!" Auroa's nose was almost touching Kodi's in anger.

"Well I uh...that is" he stammered. Auroa calmed down a bit.
