Forgotten Songs

Just a poem/song (mainly song I think) of Balto before, during, and after the Serum Run.

This one is sung by a wolf:

An out-cast is born!

And out-cast is born and has traveled into a man-town!

The son of Aniu has left us, and is with man!

Let him find glory there, and feel as much pain as we do in this forest.

Man will see him as a wolf than dog, and dogs will harm him in many ways.

Yet, let this out-cast be guided by not only the Raven, but the white wolf.

Let him be a hero one day, and welcomed into the human homes.

But also, let him suffer for leaving his pack and true home.

Let him suffer for all of the things his father has done, and let him know no feeling during this torutre, but pain.

This is my gift, and curse, to you my grandson,my running wolf.

This one is sung by a husky:

Run out-cast, run!

Save the children of Nome!

Complete your quest and save them from their terrible fate!

But be warned.

By saving them from suffering, you shall suffer for them in two years if you save them.

You've been warned, and let us see if you will unleash your other half.

The half which you have feared the most, your wolf side.

Let us see if falling off a cliff is enough to stop you, or is it enough to show you that you're more than just a dog; but also a wolf?

Run out-cast run!

It's your choice;

run from your fate, and leave the dogs on the cliff while you stay below.

Or, run to your fate, by climbing up the cliff, and suffer for the human children?

Run out-cast run!

The choice is yours.

This last one is sung by both wolf and husky:

We warned you before half-wolf, but you didn't listen.

Now you must end your journey by suffering for the ones you saved.

You be beaten, starved, and meet death face-to-face many times.

You're a tough spirit Balto, you may live longer than your comrades.

But, you shall be remembered, as not only a hero, but a poor forgotten soul.

A sould who was murdered by the same species you saved.

You shall never be forgotten though Balto, but these songs shall be.

For these are the songs that only you and your team know.
