Half Breeds Part 1.
This is a Balto/Watership Down cross over.
In the year 3205, most people are mechanically inhanced, or genetically inhanced. No human is all human any more; they either made themselves stronger by injecting gorilla DNA in them, or they have a robotic heart for better indurance. Right now, the humans know how to make clones of long dead animals or humans, by adding another stronger, more smarter specie into them. Humans now have dead animals that were brought back and are now part machine or even part human. The company responsible for this mess, is Reanimation. A project they're working on now, is trying to bring back the world's most famous dog of all time, Balto. They already brought back King Arthur, and even President Washington; but they wish to see if this project will finally be a succes. In a labratory in the center of a huge city, a group of scientist gather around a window. On the other side of the window, is a little room full of water; and in the middle of that room, is their project. The subject has tubes coming out of its body, and a mask on it to provide it oxygen. Its heart rate is normal and a scientist pushes a large blue button and the room is being emptied of the water it had. The subject lowers to the ground as the water goes away, and it finally opens its eyes and screams. It rips the tubes from its body and the mask with its wolf-like hands. The subject is the size of a grown man, but has the looks of a wolf dog. Its fur is brown and it has brown eyes. It goes onto all fours, looking like an over sized wolf, and sniffs around; its tail tucked in between its legs as it searches for an exit.
A scientist goes to a door and walks into the room. The subject cowers down in curiosity and fear. The scientist leans over says, "Can you speak?" the subject coughed a bit, trying to say something. The scientist had a disappointed look on his face and he turned to leave when a voice said, "My name......what's my name?" The scientist turned and saw his subject stand up and repeat the question. The scientist smiled and replied,
"Your name is Balto," and the scientist left the room. He then came back with some clothes for Balto. Balto put on the clothes and stred at them in interest; he'd never seen anything like it, another set of fur. He was wearing a red t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He picked at the red shirt and tore a bit of it off and sniffed it. It had no smell except for his and the man in white's. The man left the room and Balto could just barely hear the words, "Start the tests," and the other men nodded. For three days, Balto had to run, test his intelligence, and get hurt if he got an answer wrong; and he didn't like it. When he was resting, he heard a strange noise. He perked up his long ears, and sniffed. This was a different smell, but it seemed so familiar to him. He knew it was friendly, but he couldn't quite remember who it belonged to. He could hear the screams of scientists and a noise going off that sounded like thunder. Then he could see a figure, and it walked toward the window, and Balto suddenly yelled out, "Kodi!" the figure ws looking at Balto as he yelled out those words. The figure went to the door and the thunder noise came again, and the door opened. A human sized wolf dog appeared in the door way. He was a red and white color, and he was wearing a torn muscle shirt, and jeans. He carried small black stick that had smoke coming out of the end. Balto recognized it as a gun. Kodi, the figure, walked inside of the room and seven more figures appeared. All, except for one, he knew who they were. One was his love Jenna; she was also red and white but she was wearing a t-shirt and jeans much like Balto's. The second was his daughter Aleu; she was a tanish brown color and she was wearing a black leather jacket and a red tank top underneath it. She was also wearing blue jeans that were torn, and black boots. Four of the other figures were: Steele, a black and white husky, Nikki, a rown Chow-Chow, Kaltag, a goldish husky with a brown spot on his eye, and Star, another husky. All four of them were wearing comoflauged shirts and pants. The last figure he didn't recognize at all.
She was a Black wolf with brown eyes, and was wearing a shirt with a winged lizard on it with a human fore arm in its mout. The shirt read,'Does Not Play Well With Others.' She too, wa salso wearing blue jeans that were torn near the bottom, and she was wearing black steel toed boots. She was only the size of a thriteen year-old girl, and she had no _expression on her face, and every single one of them was standing on their hind legs like humans. She finally said, "So this is my granfather huh?" she had a punk attitude in her voice as if she wanted nothing to do with this mission at all.
"Yes Sapphire," Kodi replied still looking at his father, "This is your grandpa."
"We need to hurry," Steele said looking out of the door. He said this just as Jenna was going to speak to her mate, "I can see the security camera transmissions from here, ans the cops are on their way here. They've got the ones that are part raptor with them too," Sapphire just smirked and laughed.
"Is that all they got?" she said walking toward the door and pushing Steele aside, "I'll distract them while you guys get out of here okay?" Kodi was about to protest, but Sapphire had already been out of the door. She apparently didn't care wether anyone objected or not, as long as she got to fight.
"So you wants teh watch 'em fight?" Nikki said making his way out of the room as well, with his eyes looking straight at the security cameras tv screen. They all followed him, even Balto. Jenna and Balto stayed close together and were in front of the crowd that had gathered. Aleu shived her way through the crowd as well, to make sure she could see everything that her daughter did.
"Will she be alright?" Balto asked as they saw her come up onto the screen in front of the cops.
"She better," Aleu replied aith a snarl in her voice. The raptor cops crouched down and opened their jaws in a hissing noise. Sapphire just stood and moved her neck from one side to the other, attempting to crack it. One of the cops leaped and Sapphire moved out of the way and took out a knife and jammed it into the raptor's side. As she did so, another one lunged at her and she did a hook kick to the cop's head and its neck snapped to the right. It fell to the floor and didn't get up. This time, two attacked her at the same time. She faced them and pulled out two SMG's and shot at both of them. They fell to the ground too, and she stared at the raptor cop that she stabbed, and she shot him in the head. Every one applauded, and they stopped as she walked intot he room.
"I think they're gonna send in the T's next, so we should go now," she reloaded her guns and sheathed them; and she made her way toward the area where she and the others came in from. She stepped over the dead bodies of the scientists as she turned and looked at the others she snapped, "Hurry up! I want to get back to the den before sunrise," and she went through a hole in the wall, as the others followed her.
They walked out of the building and into the city. It was just after sun down, and there was a full moon in the sky. Everywhere Balto looked there was either an animal/human mix or a machine/human mix. In this world, there was no such thing as a pure breed. Every single living thing, even the grass, was a mutt. Sapphire led the group to an alley, and there stood a beatten down wooden door, with a hawk creature standing beside it. It had the claws of a hawk for hands, and feet. It had the face of one, but was built in a human way. It also had its large powerful wings sticking out of its back. The only thing it wore was pants.
"Ahhh, Sapphire, welcome back," he nodded his head at her as she came into view, "Jenna, Steele, Nikki, Kaltag, Star, Kodi, Aleu, and er....." he greeted the others and as he stamered, Balto said, "My name's Balto," The hawk creature's blue eyes lit up in wonder.
"So you're the one that they were working on; it's nice to meet you Balto," the hawk man bowed his head with respect, and he opened the door. The group walked in and the hawk creature kept Sapphire behind but Balto could hear him say, "I'm glad you're not hurt Sapphire," and Balto continued to walk in the room. Jenna lead him down a hall way and they walked through another door. Balto was engulfed in a series of loud music and bright lights, and drakness at the same time. He covered his ears and howled in pain. He could feel his howl in his throat, but he couldn't hear it; the music was way too loud to even hear the wail of a dying rat. He could barely see who was who and what was what. Jenna grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him towards another door. She lead him toward another door that went into another room. The room was quiet and had proper lighting. He could see the big room with the loud music on the other side of a large glass window like the one at the lab. He say, finally, a huge creature standing silently in front of a large map. Balto looked in wonder at the creature; for he had never seen one as big. It was taller than a regular sized man, and it had large, leathery, blood red wings that curved out in front of its body. The creature was wearing a formal Japanese out fit, and on his side, was a samurai sword in its ebony black sheath. It turned around and faced Balto and the others. A door could be heard opening and Balto turned to look, and saw Sapphire coming in. She closed the door as silently as possible, but Balto saw that she had different clothes on. She was wearing now, a blue Chinese dress with golden dragons slithering across it; fighting the golden tigers that opposed them. She also
