Jenna said comforting her daughter.
Maro was in the hospital he was coming outside. He didn’t look to happy. The doctors said there is no way out of his problem. “how am I going to tell Saba.” He thought that question kept coming to his mind all the time now. He saw Dingo and Kodi coming to Maro. “Hey you okay now?” Kodi asked him. “Yeah.” He said “So what was the problem”? Dingo asked. “Should I tell them, no I can’t not yet.” He thought to himself once again. “I don’t know really.” Maro said. “Oh, okay.” They brothers said in a confused tone. “Look you guys I have to go tell Saba I ‘m okay.” Maro said then ran off.
Dingo and Kodi looked at each other then shrugged. Maro was running as fast as he could he knew he shouldn’t run. Because his of his problem in the heart. Running just tires him out even more. If he runs to fast speed he’ll surely die. “Saba I love you.” He said in a whisper, “but surely I have to find you someone else to love.” He said. Then he ran until he came to a stop. He saw the beach the most peaceful place right now for him. He went down the hill where the ground was so soft. He sat beside the shore. The waves brought him some comfort. He was looking around the pasture the view was so beautiful. He always wondered why he so calm around the beach. Was it because he grew up around it. That question ran in his mind. His fur was blowing with the wind. He could hear his parent’s voices in the wind.
Chapter6
Back in the cave Shadow and the team were making their way back. They had lost so much wolves in the war with Alva clan he had never noticed them being very powerful and strong but know he had found out that it was them Alva clan had never been feared before but now they were feared. Shadow was in the main chamber talking to remain of the wolves. He didn’t have a n exact count but they had lost more than twenty wolves. Shadow sighed with an expression of defeat. “Shadow what do we do now do we declare war against the Alva clan?” Dash asked “No I don’t know yet let me speak with Aleu about that then we will see.” He said. “Meeting dismissed you may leave now.” He said all of the wolves left the meeting chamber. Shadow made his way to Aleu’s chamber. He had reached their chamber there he saw Aleu and Melody speaking. He didn’t want to interrupt so he thought he should see Timbre he might also be looking for Melody. Shadow made his way to Timbre’s chambers
Balto was lying between two trees. He had regained conscious
“Ouch my head hurts”. He said in pain “Balto, my son don’t give up yet your almost there.” Aniu said with the wind. The wind howled giving Balto shivers. He started to climb up to see the pasture of Nome. He made it to a cliff he stood there the wind blew his fur majestically. He saw Nome not far away he decided to find shelter and go tomorrow morning. That night he found a small cave where he fell asleep……….
Back in the cave where the “plot makers” were they had been angry for the fact that Balto was gone somewhere else now they had to find out where he was. Steele’s next target was Jenna since he couldn’t get Balto come he can always get Jenna while he is not around. He chuckled at his devilish plan. “Half-breed wait to see what is next for you.” He said then disappeared from his comrades. Back in Nome Saba had gotten word that Maro was okay now. At least she hoped it to be that way. She made her way to the hospital to see if he was there. But she didn’t find him there. She picked up his scent it took her to the beach. She was standing over the hill she saw him sitting down. She trotted to him. This time he sensed her and turned around. She smiled he looked at her. He knew deep inside himself that his friend was right he would feel the pain also but he wanted her to be happy.
He had always remembered these words from his father when he always gave speeches “Tomorrow may not be.” Those words stroked his mind like a bear striking a paw. He had always been proud of his father but his father was now same like his mother dead. Saba came up to him “hey.” She said in a happy mood. “hi.” He said trying to smile. “I’m glad your okay.” She said “Yeah me too.” He said there was silence for a long time. The sky became dark. Saba looked up at it “Have you ever wonder why everything is so beautiful?” She asked him, “No I have always wondered.” He said with a tone that made her happy. “I better be going now.” She said then licked his nose and left. Maro was amazed.
He sat there thinking about how he was going to tell her…………
Back in the cave Shadow was talking to Timbre “So” Timbre said, “Who do you think attacked us?” “I think it was the Alva clan.” Shadow said, “But strange thing is how did they become skillful and strong. Shadow said thinking deeply on that thought. “Yeah that is strange.” Timbre said. “It’s getting late I better be leaving soon.” Shadow said then left the cave. Shadow was making his way to the cave. He had reached it and made his way inside. There he saw Aleu sleeping with the pups. He decided not to wake her up she looked so exhausted. He went up and cuddled next to her and fell asleep.
Back in Nome Maro was talking to Maliki he was new husky in town. “Hello my name is Maro.” Maro said to Maliki turned to see a white husky staring at him with a gleam in his eye. Maro studied the husky that was staring back at him. He looked black with a white belly. “Oh, Hello my name is Maliki nice to met you.” Maliki said looking at the ghostly husky in front of him. “Uh….. it’s nice to met you too.” Maro said “Hey why don’t I give you a personal tour of this town. Maro said looking at him, “He is probably the one I’m looking for in my dreams they pictured this exact same husky.” Maro thought to himself “Yeah sure.” Maliki said.
Maro padded with Maliki to the old mill he crept in with Maliki by his side not trying to make any noise. He sat in the end. Maro noticed Saba,Dingo,Kodi, Dusty and Jenna sitting in a line. Drake was giving the usual news around town Maro didn’t even listen to Drake his mind focused on Saba. “The meeting is dismissed.” Drake said. All of the dogs began leaving the old mill. Maro began to Maliki “That is Drake the town judge.” Maliki nodded solemnly.
The five somes made their way to Maro and Maliki,” Hey Maro who is your friend?” Dingo said “Guys this is Maliki this is Saba,Dingo,Kodi,Dusty and Jenna.” Maro said. “Nice to meet you Maliki” the five canines said. Maliki looked at Saba.“She is beautiful.” Maliki thought
Back in the cave Balto awoke with the same dream he was panting hard. “Jenna I’m coming just wait” Balto said then stood up and gave a long stretch. “ better be on my way.” He said then left the cave he was running with the snow puffing up and down they paw prints looked like some kind of bear prints. He didn’t bother to look back. He was some where close to wolf territory he could smell them. He decided not to stay he knew they would kill an outsider and at his age rip him apart.
Back in Nome Steele had been creping in the shadows he was waiting for Jenna to be alone so he could pounce on her waiting for the kill he sat down waiting un patiently for Jenna. She was walking out from the front door stepping down from the steps. As she was walking the hungry malamute was creeping in the shadows just ready to jump her. He grinned with fire and hatred in his eyes. “You accepted half-breed that is why you’ll die Jenna that is why.” He said Jenna was pretty lost she ended up on a hilltop beside a forest she thought she could maybe see any nice sights in the woods. Steele chuckled “you were never smart my pretty.” He said then lunged for her back giving weight to make fall down. She felt a big creature on her back she collapsed to the floor. Steele let go of her and walked up in front of her. “So how’s it been Jenna?” He said laughing Jenna looked up to see Steele. “Steele” she said in disgust. “So you’ve heard about the murders?” He said “you did them.” “Correct there princess.” He said putting a paw under her chin. I’ll let you go for one single thing…… he paused then began again a kiss. He said Those words struck Jenna’s mind. “No I won’t give a thing.” She said still on the floor. “You’ve gotten courage like wolf.” He said then gave hit on the head she had blood running form her nose. She fell back unconscious to the ground. “Nightie Night Jenna sweet dreams.” He said and walked back in the shadows.
Back in the cave Aleu was awoken up by her pups she saw Shadow sleeping she saw the wounds on him but they were fresh. “I wonder what happened last night?” She said to herself. She didn’t want to move because Shadow was cuddled next to her she laid back down and licked his wounds slowly. He was awoken by the feeling something against his fur. Opened his eyes to see Aleu licking him. She nuzzled him, he got to his feet. “What happened?” She asked him. He sighed and began telling her “We were attacked by the Alva clan

I really wish you'd write more stories like this! Great job,
Dingowolf. But lately, your stories (or the ones you send at least)
have gotten shorter and shorter, until they're little more than a
paragraph... I'll keep posting them, but please... Read the
instructions for sending fanfics. - Except for poems, the fanfics must
have a good length, and not look like a summary. Please forgive me if I sound harsh. I don't like to be the bearer of bad news. ![]() |

Wow! This is a fine piece of work, dingowolf. I can tell you put a
lot of time and effort into it. I really liked the way that you built
suspense. Everything that the characters had to go through in the
beginning kept me on the edge of my seat. Especially since it all
lead up to a suspenseful final scene. That, and you left off with
quite a cliffhanger there! I can't wait to see what Steele tries to
do next, and what happens to Maro. Only things that could have been
better were, a few scenes where I thought you could have been a more
descriptive (don't be afraid of writing for too long ). And also,
make sure you start a new line whenever a different character speaks
so's not to confuse the reader. But, other than that, great job! I
look forward to more of your work. |
