“Kodiak what happened?!” Jenna said Kodi began “Mom it’s nothing to worry about somebody just picked a fight with me.” He said facing Jenna “Well next time be careful.” She said, “Come on in guys.” she said to her children. “It’s pretty late why don’t you guys go to sleep here?”Jenna asked they thought about it for a moment and accepted the offer they fell asleep.

Next morning Maro was walking the streets of Nome he had been thinking a lot lately he wouldn’t get enough sleep some nights and would be stressed all the time. He was thinking about Saba what he should say to her. His friend Mamoru was always by his side even though he had a mate he would have his times with her and him.

He was passing Jenna’s house he wanted some time alone to think.

“How am I going to pull this off by my self?” He thought He sighed and made his way to the beach where Balto’s boat was he knew about Balto was great that they knew each other. He bean pacing thinking of telling Saba the terrible news. “Should I make her have grieve for me?”, “No I have to because even if she doesn’t love me I do no matter what.” He said “He was interrupted by his friend Mamoru he turned around to see Mamoru. “Thinking again buddy.” He said to Maro nodded. “You know I’m happy that I know you.” He said to Maro. “Why?” He asked Mamoru “You made me and Jane close to gather. Before we hated each other so much now we are in love.” Mamoru said. Even yet Maro had told his friend about the terrible news. “You know buddy you should sleep because you don’t have enough time to live.” Mamoru said “I…I can’t not until I find her somebody else to love than me.” He said “You know as much as I do it’s going to pain you more than you already are.” Mamoru said. “Yeah I do but this is my last wish and I want to full fill it.” Maro said the left to find Saba…….

Back in the cave Shadow was still sleeping Aleu was awake she had been worried about Shadow for the whole night. Aleu was thinking a lot she had to have security everywhere now. Aleu was thinking about how her parents are doing. Then she was cut off by Shadow “Aleu?” he said. Aleu smiled went closer to him and nuzzled him. Shadow smiled “Why are up so early?” he asked her. “I just woke up early.” She said to Shadow laid back down and fell asleep. Aleu joined him.

Back in Nome Maro was looking for Saba. He was still thinking if he should tell her or not he knew his heart problem would take away his life forever. Now since the doc said he is close to death very soon. He loved Saba with all of his heart and he didn’t want her to be sad for the rest of her life. But how should he tell her. He didn’t know anything at the moment all he cared about was how he was going to tell Saba. Saba saw Maro went up and greeted him. Maro turned around to see Saba. Maro became more and more tense and everything that had been there was now making him even tenser. Saba saw Maro breathing harder and harder his chest kept rising and falling quickly. Maro was trembling in tense his heartbeat was decreasing. Dingo went up to Saba and Maro he saw Maro “Are you okay Maro?” Dingo asked him. Every thing around Maro became dark and Maro passed out. His body fell to the ground. Saba and Dingo went up to him. Dingo put his ear on his chest “he’s alive for now but lets get him to the doc’s. Dingo carried Maro on his back to the doc………

Chapter5

The doc was checking Maro’s blood pressure it was very high indeed. The doc took of his glasses and sighed. “Looks like you have less time than I thought boy.” The doc said. Dingo and Saba were waiting outside to see if Maro was okay or not. The nurse had left Maro to rest the doc said he should stay one more day until he is completely okay. Saba heard the doc say that he should stay for one more day. Saba left with Dingo depressed and went to her house laid down in her bed. She covered her face with her paws and began to cry……………

Dingo was talking to Kodi it had been some hours since Saba was gone to her house. The two brothers had faith in their sister they knew she would be her old self soon but they were truly wrong this time……...

It had been two days since Maro was in the hospital and he was doing okay but he needed some tests. Dingo and Kodi were talking to Jenna how Saba hadn’t come out of her house in two days. “Mom, we are really worried about her.” They both said, “I mean all she has been doing is crying.” Kodi said, “The most bad part is she wants to be alone.” Dingo said. “I know how she feels I mean I been through it.” Jenna said looking worried. “Mom you have to try because who ever tries never losses.” Dingo said to his mother

“Okay I’ll try to talk to her.” Jenna said a little bit worried look in the corner of her eye. “But before I go tell me why she is upset?” She asked both of her sons. They just shrugged and said, “They didn’t know.” Then Jenna left to see Saba.

Back in the shed Balto was about to leave he said good-bye to his three kids and made his journey back to Nome. The winds were too strong for him too keep going but he started thinking of Jenna and kept going on. He knew his love for Jenna would be stronger than him self or anybody. But if Jenna leaves him he would be nothing. All the thought s came to his head he tried to clear his mind. He had found everything soothing when Ainu told him not to give up. “ My son have faith in you.” Aniu said with the wind then her clam voice faded away with wind. Balto had come to a stop over a bridge of ice. He knew he had to cross it to get to the other side. It was a very steep bridge. Balto took a step forward making sure there weren’t any lose parts. He kept going very carefully not trying to make himself fall. The bridge could no longer hold Balto it started to collapse began running but he was too late he fell down in to river that was icy cold. Balto was unconscious………………..

Back in the cave Aleu was talking to Melody. “Aleu sis what’s wrong”? Melody asked her sister “Aleu looked at her sister and said, “Nothing Melody it’s just I’m tired that’s all.” She said. Melody looked at her sister trying to find out what was bothering her sister so much. “Uh-huh” She said looking at Aleu. Aleu sighed

“You wouldn’t understand Mel”. She said looking to the ground

“Alright so are you going to tell me or not Aleu, or do I have to find out myself.” She said, Aleu shook her head. “No” she said

Melody had found out that her sister wouldn’t tell her right now she just let the topic float away. Just then Dash came running in to the cave were Aleu and Melody were. “Aleu!” he said catching his breath, “Dash what happened?” Aleu and Melody asked together. “We’re attacked!” he said “What?!” They both sisters said again. Aleu knew that Shadow was in charge of the team. Her sisters mate was also in the team. “By whom are we being attacked?” Aleu asked Dash. Dash opened his mouth. He was cut off by a howl. “Aleu I need to go back.” He said, “Be careful.” Melody and Aleu said to their brother. Then he ran out of the cave…………

Back in Nome Jenna was making her way to Saba’s. She picked up her pace. She could see Saba’s house she reached a hose that was bright red with a brown doggie door. She scratched on the doggie door to see if she was going to get reply. Saba heard scratching on the doggie door. She went to it and walked through it. There she saw her mother standing in the doorway. “Mom, come in.” She said Jenna gave a nod and came in with her. Saba sited herself. Jenna sat down beside Saba there was silence for a long time. But it was cut off by Jenna “Saba what’s wrong?” Saba looked into her mother’s eyes. “What are you talking about mom?” she said,”Saba is it because of that dog?” she asked again. Saba began getting frustrated how did her family know, she knew she should tell them that she has found love for her. Saba mind drifted back into the past when she was with Maro he had only spent sometime with her but she knew she and him were failing in love. Jenna brought her back to the present “Saba?” she said waving a paw in front of her face. Saba was immediately brought back to the present. She sighed “Yes mom I’m……she paused to think about it for a minute, I’m in love with him.” She said looking at the ground with tears coming to her eyes. Then she looked up at her mother she was smiling at her. “Saba honey it’s okay to be in love with him.” She said consoling her daughter. Saba smiled back at her mother,” Ya mom but now I think something is wrong with him”, what if he hates me then what will I do?” she said.

Her eyes could no longer hold those tears in her eyes they came out of her eye and slid down her face. “Mom I love him and if anything happens to him I don’t know what I’ll do.” She said with more tears. Jenna became quiet as well as Saba. It was so quiet you could almost here the tears splash on the floor from Saba’s face. “It will be okay.” Jenna
