“So, you have thought Ronno before, then?”
“Ronno his name, is it? How do you know that, bro?”
“He lives here”
“So, he killed our parents, did he? Well, let’s give you friend a little visit, shall we?”
Rover stormed into Ronno’s den ground, walking right past a group of males and straight up to Ronno”
“You” Ronno growled.
Rover kept his cool.
“Still got my little present then, have you?” Rover laughed, looking at the scar on Ronno’s leg.
“How did you survive me?” Ronno cried.
“I played dead, an old trick I inherited off my father. Fools even the cleverest of minds, so I knew it would trick you”
Ronno growled.
“So, you figured out that I killed your parents, Claw told you, I suppose?”
“Yeah, I did” Claw screeched, storming into the den ground.
“Claw, this is my brother, Rover. Rover, this is my friend, Claw.”
They smiled at each other vaguely.
“You killed our mother and father!” Sasha yelled.
“And how do you plan to get revenge?” Ronno laughed.
“I’ll fight you” Sasha told him, intrepidly.
“Bravo, the little half breed can speak unwisely, but can you really fight me?”
“I have more a reason to fight you. You killed my pack too”
The whole clearing was silent. Ronno glared at Sasha, but all the pack’s eyes were on Ronno.
“Okay, half breed. Tomorrow when the sun is highest in the sky, we’ll fight, at Spirit’s cliff, just North of Amazon Lake, where the mountains touch the skies. Be there, or be square.” Ronno announced. “Those who will, follow me”
Half the pack followed Ronno over the hill and out the sight. The rest cheered Sasha on, and returned with him to his den.
The next day dawned late, but Sasha was up early. He was mildly concerned. If he didn’t make it, and was killed, Ronno would kill the rest of the pack. The rest of the pack awoke later on, and they were worried too. Sasha was keeping his cool. He knew he had to keep calm for the fight. The pack members were very friendly, and not at all as horrible as Ronno. They gave him encouragement, and tried to cheer him up. It helped, but when the sun reached it’s highest, they all solemnly made their way to Spirit’s cliff. Ronno was already their, and he was a calm and as cool as an iceberg. Sasha’s insides felt like an iceberg, and his legs felt like lead as he spotted the cliff. It towered twenty feet over the rest, and almost blocked out the sun. His teeth began to chatter as the reached the bottom of the cliff, and he began to realize that for Ronno, he was just a puny individual, and was an easy kill. Sasha walked up the cliff, which he found was awfully unwise. Ronno had followed him up, and he was now trapped on the edge of the cliff. He backed up and Ronno came menacingly closer, and he felt the rocks slip from under his feet and he reached the edge. He was stuck. Ronno took his chance and leapt at Sasha. Sasha ducked, and Ronno was stuck on the edge. Ronno leapt at Sasha again, but this time it was a mistake. He hurtled off the cliff edge, and a huge splash told him that he was gone. Sasha peered over the edge, and saw Ronno lift himself up onto the river bank.
“I’ll get you one day, half breed!” Ronno yelled, and he fled into the forest below. Everybody cheered.
“Well done bro” Rover congratulated him. “You were brilliant”
Claw nuzzled him fondly, and his new pack cheered.
Sasha returned to his old den, and sighed at the memories he had. Rover and Claw were looking for him, as he hadn’t told them where he was. Suddenly, Fox came out of a bush.
“What now?” Sasha asked, not looking at him.
“Only the voyage home my son” he said.
“Fox….?” He turned, and saw Fox. His eyes were glowing yellow, and his pupils had vanished. “What’s wrong?”
Mist surrounded Fox, and he flew upwards in a beam of light. He touched the floor, as a white wolf.
“Fox, you’re my mum, in disguise?”
She nodded. She flicked her tail, and the name ‘Whowtfiel’ appeared in gold letters in the air. She flicked her tail again, and the letter moved around to spell ‘White Wolf’. Two other wolves appeared by her side. It was Blackmoon and May.
“Father, May?” Sasha gasped.
“Sasha? Where are…..” Rover and Claw stumbled through the bushes, and stopped when they saw the three other wolves.
“Rover, Claw, it’s mum and dad, and May” He whispered. Rover walked up beside him, as did Claw. The white wolf howled, Blackmoon howled, May howled. Sasha began to howled, and so did Rover and Claw. Wolves and people everywhere stopped and listened, as a re-united wolf family sung into the night.
The End
