Steele.
«Don’t worry uncle Borris! We’ll save you!» Muk yelled. Muk and Luk came running out of the small room on the boat and knocked Steele off of the goose and pilled onto of him. Steele squeezed half way out and yelled.
«What’s the matter with you two? GET OFF!» Steele yelled.
«Steele! I found Jenna and Dixie’s paw prints!» Blaze yelled.
Steele squeezed himself out and jumped up near the edge of the boat. He pushed himself over the deck with his front paws, and pushed himself off the boat with his back paws. He landed and ran to Blaze.
«Right here.» he said as he pointed.
Steele looked at the two sets of prints and noticed 3 other sets close by. «These are Nikki’s Kaltag’s and Star’s.» Steele said. «Let’s go!» Steele took off running and Blaze followed. They were both determined to find their friends, and especially Jenna.

Meanwhile, in the forest, Dixie was walking through the deep snow, sinking down to her chest with every step.
«Ugh! This was such a stupid idea to come out here.» Dixie complained. She reached a part where she didn’t sink into the snow.
«Jenna! Where are you!» she yelled.
Then, a huge black bear stepped up to Dixie and roared as loud as he could.
Dixie looked at the bear and ran as fast as she could, but the bear was much too fast for her, he jumped in front of her and roared in her face. Dixie screamed as the bear stood in front of her. She turned to run, but the bear swiped her away with his gigantic paw. Dixie went flying and landed in the snow. She bounced several times and slid on her side until she stopped. The bear stomped towards her as he growled and roared. Dixie couldn’t run in the other direction because of the bush behind her, and she knew that the bear would surly be able to get her if she ran to the side. The bear caught up to Dixie and held up one mighty paw and roared. Dixie gawked as she looked at the vicious animal. Just then, Jenna jumped up and bit the bears paw. She remembered she did this when she caught up with Balto when he was looking for Steele and his team. The bear flung his paw, causing Jenna to let go and land in the snow.
«Jenna?!» Dixie said.
Jenna ran towards the bear and jumped on his back. The bear landed on all four legs and roared. Jenna bit the bears ear and tugged in it as hard as she could. The bear reared up as it roared in pain. Jenna slid off the bear and ran to Dixie. She pushed her out of the way with her head and they both ran. But the bear wasn’t finished with them yet. He swiped both of them away with his paw. As the bear looked at the two dogs laying on the ground, Nikki, Kaltag, and Star jumped on the bear and bit him as hard as they could. The bear tore Nikki and Kaltag off one by one and threw them to the ground. As the bear reached for Star, Nikki yelled.
«Star! Look out!»
Star looked up at the giant black paw that was coming towards him. Star bit the bears paw and the bear wailed in pain. The bear swung his paw, and luckily Star’s teeth cut the skin as he was thrown. Star landed and bounced until he banged into Kaltag. The bear cornered The trio, Dixie, and Jenna at the edge of a small, but rocky cliff. If the dogs had taken just one more step back, they would fall. Then, Steele jumped on the bears face. The bear shook his head until Blaze jumped on the bear’s neck and bit. Then, out of nowhere, Sage appeared and jumped on the bear.
«Sage! No!» Steele yelled, having concern for his mate.
Sage dug her claws into the skin of the bear and bit the tough hide. She stretched the skin as far as it would go, then let go. The bear was bleeding all over from his wounds. The bear fell on his stomach and roared weakly. Steele, Sage and Blaze got off the bear, thinking that it could no longer fight. But they were wrong. The bear got up and roared. All the dogs ran in front of it and started barking and growling. The bear, feeling outnumbered and weak, stepped back, not knowing that the cliff was so close to him. But before he could fall, the bear tripped and fell on his back. He flipped onto his stomach, but before he could get up, the dogs pushed him over the edge of the cliff. The bear slid down the snow and rocks as he roared. He reached the bottom with a big thud. He pushed himself up, but slipped back down. He then tried to get up. When he did, he roared at the dogs, then slowly limped away.
Steele looked at Jenna. «Jenna, are you alright?» he asked as he walked up to her.
«I’m fine.» She replied.
«Yous had us worried for a while, dere.» Nikki said.
«Yeah.» Kaltag added.
Steele then looked at Sage. «Sage what are you doing out here?» Steele asked as he walked up to her.
«Jenna’s my best friend, I was worried about her, so I came out to find her.» Sage explained.
«I told you to stay away from the bear, I thought I might lose you.» Steele said as he nuzzled her.
«I know, I’m sorry. But I wanted to help.» Sage said.
Steele then looked back at Jenna.
«Why did you run away?!» Kaltag yelled.
«I have to find Balto.» Jenna said.
«We know that, but you could’ve been hurt!» Dixie squeaked.
«Yeah, we don’t know what we would’ve done without you.» said Star.
«C’mon, let’s go home.» Steele said with a smile.
«No, I’m not going home without Balto.» Jenna yelled.
«Jenna, we have to bring you home, Rosie’s been worried sick!» Steele said firmly.
«We have to go Jenna, c’mon.» Blaze said as he walked behind her and gave her a nudge on the side.
«No!» she yelled.
Steele grabbed her bandana and pulled as he started walking.
Jenna resisted, but Steele was too strong. «Steele! Stop it!» Jenna said.
Just then, Everyone heard a familiar bark behind them. They all stopped and looked to see Balto standing there.
Steele let go of Jenna’s bandana and smiled.
«Balto!» Jenna yelled. Balto and Jenna ran up to each other and nuzzled. Everyone soon followed.
«What are you doing out here?» Balto asked. He couldn’t help but smile anyways.
«I want you to come home.» Jenna said.
Balto frowned and lowered his head. «I can’t, I’ll be put down.» He said sadly.
Togo stepped up to him and spoke. «Don’t worry, I’ve got a plan.»
Everyone raised their heads and smiled.

The dogs arrived back home and explained the plan to everyone. When night came, it was time to put it into action.
Jenna and Steele went into the boiler room alone and waited.
Bandit was lying down on a porch of a house. Nikki, Kaltag, and Star went walking down the road where the house was on.
«I can’t believe that Jenna’s mad at Balto again.» Kaltag said.
«Yeah, now she’s with Steele, I saw them in the boiler room alone.» Star said.
«Are you kidding?» Kaltag said, acting surprised.
«Yeah, I heard dem talking about puppies when dey got back here a few hours ago.» Nikki said as the trio passed Bandit.
Bandit couldn’t help but listen to every word of the conversation. He growled and crept off the boiler room. He looked inside and saw Jenna and Steele snuggled up to each other.
Jenna stood up and moved closer to the heater. Steele did the same. He playfully pushed her muzzle with his nose. Jenna laughed and pushed his chin up with her muzzle. Steele stood on his hind legs and wrapped his arms around her neck. Jenna ran and a circle as Steele hopped along with her, then let go when she stopped.
«We haven’t played like this since we were pups.» Jenna said.
«I remember.» Steele laughed.
Jenna was silent for a moment, then spoke. «Speaking of puppies...» she said.
She licked his cheek and laughed.
Steele smiled at Jenna as she smiled back.
Bandit growled and rammed into Steele.
«Back off Steele, she’s mine!» Bandit growled as Steele stood up.
«Bandit?!» Jenna yelled.
Steele growled and pushed Bandit outside. They continued to fight, and Steele was supposed to pretend to lose to Bandit, but it turned out that Bandit was a very good fighter, and Steele wasn’t doing so well at handling it. Bandit had Steele pinned with his teeth clenched around his throat. Steele kicked and whined in pain. Kaltag jumped in to save his friend, but was bitten on the leg. He whined as loud as he could.
All the growling and fighting caught the attention of a few people. Some of the towns people and the mushers came out and saw the fight.
«No! Stop!» yelled one of the mushers.
The dogs that were standing by, watching knew that Steele wasn’t pretending to lose, it was a real fight, and that was NOT good.
Togo joined in on the fight, and tried to lure Bandit away from Steele. Steele slowly got up, and saw Togo trying to fight Bandit. Togo was a smaller dog, so Bandit had the advantage. Steele got
