said.

«I don’t believe dis! What happened?» Nikki asked.

Just then, Bandit pushed his way through the crowd and walked up to Balto. Balto stood up and looked at him.

«Balto! What happened?» Bandit asked, acting concerned.

«You turned Jenna against me!» Balto yelled.

«What?» Bandit said as he widened his eyes.

«Stay....away...from Jenna.» Balto said. «She’s mine.» he whispered.

Bandit paused. He couldn’t hold it in any longer, he HAD to have Jenna, he didn’t care what anyone else thought!

«Not if I can help it!» Bandit said. He lunged at Balto.

Balto moved out of the way, causing Bandit to bang his head against the wall. Bandit jumped on Balto. Balto kicked him off and jumped on his back and hopped off. Bandit collapsed and fell on his back. Balto stood over him and chewed on his neck. Bandit scratched Balto’s chest. Balto jumped off of Bandit. Before Bandit could get up, Balto grabbed his back leg, and swung him against the wall. Balto stood there, panting. Bandit got up and charged towards Balto. Balto was ready to move out of the way, but Togo rammed Bandit’s side with his head, causing him to go flying. Bandit rolled on the floor and stopped right before he hit the wall.

«ENOUGH!» Togo yelled as he stood between the two dogs.

Bandit slowly stood up, his legs shook every few seconds. He and Balto stared at each other as they panted and bled.

«This has to stop!» Togo yelled.

Bandit ran out the door and limped his way to Jenna’s house. He walked through the doggy door and saw Jenna asleep on her pillow. He limped over to her and nudged her muzzle.

«Jenna, wake up.» he said.

Jenna opened her eyes and saw Bandit. Jenna got up as fast as she could and gasped.

«Bandit what happened?» she yelled.

«Balto and I fought.» he said as he plopped himself down on her pillow.

Jenna whipped the blood off him with a wet cloth. «I can’t believe he’s acting like this!» Jenna said. «Who started the fight?» she asked.

«He did.» Bandit lied.

«You stay here, it’s time I had a firm word with Balto.» Jenna said. She stormed out the door and ran to the team house.

She burst through the door. «BALTO!» she yelled. She ran up to him with a mean look on her face.

«How could you do this?» she asked

Balto stood up. «Do what?» he asked.

«Fight with Bandit! You had no reason to start that fight!» Jenna yelled.

«I didn’t start that fight! He did!» Balto yelled.

«Stop lying to me Balto!» she yelled.

«I’m not lying!» Balto yelled.

«Balto’s telling the truth! Bandit started the fight.» Togo explained.

Jenna payed no attention to Togo. «What was I thinking? A dog can NEVER trust a wolf.» Jenna said.

Balto gasped. All the other dogs gasped soon after.

«That’s it! We’re over!» Jenna yelled. She stormed out the door, and Balto secretly followed.

He walked into Jenna’s house and saw Jenna laying down with Bandit, his neck over hers. Balto snuck upstairs, and brought the puppies down, and went back to the team house. When he got there, the other two litters were there.

Steele and Jenna’s friend Sage had a litter of 5 puppies, 3 boys named Demon, a puppy who looked just like Steele, Rex, who looked like Sage, but was darker and had a dark tan blaze down his tan face, and Dodger, who was black with white paws, ears, and chest. 2 girls named Akira, who looked just like Sage, and Kali, who was black with a white face, chest, legs and tail.

Kaltag and Jenna’s sister Duchess also had a litter of 5 puppies, 3 girls named Ginger, who was a darker than Kaltag, and had a dark tan chest, and paws. Sheila, who looked just like Duchess, and Ally who was tan with dark tan paws and a dark tan tip on her tail. And 2 boys named Shadow, who was all dark tan with tan tips on his ears and paws, and Duke who looked just like Duchess, but had an all red tail.

Balto told everyone including the pups the story about what happened between him and Jenna. Everything was happening so fast, no one knew what to do.

Nellie went to a pillow and laid down and shed a tear. Anela, who was very close to her, like a best friend, sat down next to her and put her paw on Nellie’s back.

«It’s ok.» Anela said.

Demon, who was one of Anela’s closest friends, and a part of Steele’s litter, sat down next to her and nuzzled her. Anela shed a tear. Demon licked it off and spoke.

«I promise Ally, everything will be ok.» he said softly. Ally was Anela’s nick named, sometimes dogs would call her that.

Blaze walked up with all the dogs standing behind him. The tan Siberian Husky was a very good friend to Balto. «Balto, we’re gonna come up with a plan to prove to Jenna that you’re telling the truth.» he said.

Balto smiled. All the dogs huddled up and started coming up with ideas.

It was an hour later, and no one had come up with a good idea to prove that Balto was telling the truth. They forgot that all plans didn’t have to be crafty and clever, they could be simple too. Balto decided to go get some advice from the wisest dog he knew. Well..actually..the wisest wolf he knew. Balto ran out of his team house and to the outskirts of Nome. He sat on a snow bank and howled as loud as he could. He stopped and looked around. He saw no sign of Kemo, the white wolf. Then again, it was hard to see Kemo anywhere when there is nothing but snow on the ground. He laid down and waited for Kemo to arrive. Balto had met Kemo during the epidemic. He had fallen down a cliff, and Kemo was there to howl and give him hope to make it back home with the medicine. A few minutes later, Balto perked his ears. He heard something coming. He lifted his head. There, standing in front of him, he saw Kemo. Balto stood up.

«What’s wrong Balto? Your howl seemed distressed.» Kemo said.

«Jenna and I got into a big fight. It even got physical.» Balto said.

«What happened?» Kemo asked.

Balto sat down and sighed. «A new lead dog came into town, and I heard him say that he wants to be Jenna’s mate. I told her, and she doesn’t believe me. She thinks I’m lying to her! The dogs and I were trying to come up with a plan to prove that I’m right, but we can’t think of anything.» Balto explained.

«What should I do, Kemo?» he asked.

«Well, there’s not much to say. Your half wolf, and wolves are very intelligent animals. Which means that without a doubt you will be able to come up with something.» Kemo said. He turned around and walked away. He soon disappeared into the mist of snow.

«That didn’t help much.» Balto thought to himself. He plopped himself down on the ground. A few seconds later, Balto widened his eyes. He had come up with a plan! He stood up and ran back to the team house. He burst through the door and yelled. «I have a plan!»

The dogs looked up and gathered around him. Balto explained the plan, and it was time to put it into action.

Later, Balto, Steele, and Blaze were looking for Bandit and Jenna. They found them in the boiler room nuzzling each other.

Balto growled and began to walk in. Blaze and Steele grabbed Balto and dragged him back outside.

«No Balto!» Blaze whispered loudly.

Bandit nuzzled Jenna, and they both looked at each other. Bandit leaned in, about to touch his nose to Jenna’s.

«Now Steele!» Balto whispered.

Steele ran in and rammed Bandit against the wall. As Steele and Bandit fought, Blaze and Balto dragged Jenna out of the boiler room. They all laid down, Balto held Jenna down, while Blaze pushed his paw down on Jenna’s muzzle so she couldn’t talk.

The fighting stopped and Bandit and Steele snarled at each other.

«What was that for?» Bandit yelled.

«It was a trick for Blaze and Balto. The truth is, I want you and Jenna to be together, and I’ll help you.» Steele lied.

«You will?» Bandit asked.

«Yes, after all, you’ve always wanted Jenna to be your mate. And I’ll help you win over the town like you wanted. It’s easy.» Steele said with a smile.

«Thanks Steele. How can we do this?» asked Bandit.

Balto and Blaze let go of Jenna.

Jenna ran into the boiler room. «Bandit!» she yelled angrily.

Bandit widened his eyes as Balto walked into the room, followed by his team: Star, Nikki, Kaltag, Shep, Dingo, and Blaze. Along with the other dogs that sided with Balto.

«Jenna..I-» Bandit said.

«Balto was telling the truth all along! And you turned me against him!" Jenna yelled. Balto nuzzled Jenna as she looked bitterly at Bandit.

«I’m so sorry Balto.» Jenna said.

«I’m sorry too.» said Balto.

Jenna growled at Bandit and stepped toward him. Balto yanked her back by her orange bandana. It was a way to tell her to stay back.

It was time for the pay back part of the plan. Balto gave Steele the signal by
