POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE

 

I see him every day

Out training on his own

Destin to be something he's not

When he is all alone

My ignorance showing

Of how foolish i had been

But somehow i knew

That the storm was about to begin.

 

Training day came and we all were ready

I was by my Boss's side

Solid and steady

He came outta nowhere with that look in his eye

Everyone stared as he passed by

I didn't look

I didn't stare

There wouldnt be any reason

 For me to really care.

 

They shouted

mocked

and called him names

Wolfdog

that was his famous name

We were all in line

ready for war

I could already tell he was shaken and sore

 

I looked over and saw him Uneasy and Hurt

But he stamped his paw right down to the dirt

I shook my head and got in line

The next thing i knew

he had blown my mind

 

The race started and boss was in first

I was in second

And the wolfdog had hit the dirt

Nikki and Star had smashed him to the ground

But he got right up

As quickly as sound

 

He zoomed past the dogs

Everybody was suprised

I was even

When we met eye to eye

I wasn't even tired

I was ahead of the rest

He looked at me and smiled

And said, "Hey Kaltag, do your best!"

 

He bolted ahead of me

leaving me stunned

but the race isn't over

until boss has his fun

He completely turned around

You Bastard! He said

As he attacked the wolfdog

them both trying to smash each others head

 

Growling and snarling

Yelping and blood

Fighting all dirty

In that filthy mud.

I didn't stop

I kept on running

I wanted that title

Even though that fight was funny

 

I came in first

I took Boss's place

Wolfdog and Boss were disqualified from the race

I didn't deseve it

It wasn't mine

But surely

I cannot change the human's mind

 

Wolfdog ran up to me

and congratulated me on my sucess

"Why be nice to me

When i was an asshole like the rest?"

Wolfdog grinned

and whispered in my ear

"Not all dogs are bad

I've been far and near

Unless you being an 'asshole'

Is just because there's something you fear...

 

Wolfdog was right

I was in fear!

Of boss's iron paw

Also that he was a queer!

We soon became friends

But there was something i HAD to do

For i had to confront Boss

So i could finally start a New...
