All the remaining terrorist got up and into the elevator and Jenna started to run at them and fire her gun as she went. The rounds hit the door and then hit one of the men behind the uniformed man. Just before the doors closed a grin came across the uniformed mans face Jenna stopped as the doors closed and then punched them.

Shit she yelled

She turned to the hall which was now covered in bullet holes, blood and bodies the Rangers began tending two the wounded. Jenna just slowly slide down the elevator doors and to the floor.

Whats the damage she yelled down the hall

Four died and five wounded responded a soldier

Jenna got up and went over to a Ranger looking out the window she looked out to see a van go speeding out of the CDC.

There goes the canister Jenna said

We'll clean up this mess and then I'll call Wahsington and give them the good news said Jenna

Well sir Washington already called they said there was a good chance the canister was in danger and that security should keep an eye open he replied

Balto sat at his desk doing some paper work when his phone rang he dropped his pen and answered it.

This is Colonel Terwell he said

Hey honey it's Jenna

Jenna it's good to here from you how are you

I'm fine were getting on a plane to D.C now and I thought it would be good to call

Good I can't wait until you and the canister are back

Umm Balto didn't anyone tell you what happen

Balto stiffened up and pulled the phone away and then put it back up against his ear

What happened Jenna he said

We were attacked at the CDC by eight terrorists they killed four Rangers and wounded five. They took the canister and Dr. Ravenwoods computer and everything on the virus

Balto hung up his phone and then slammed his fist on his desk he then got up and stormed out of his office. He went down the hall and to the elevator and scanned his card and the doors opened and he got in and went down. The doors opened and he went in and looked around and say the General talking to a few tech men. He went over and grabbed the General by his shoulder.

Colonel what seems to be the problem here he said in a high voice

You think this is a game General yelled Balto

What do you mean

You failed to tell me about the attack on the CDC and that my wife was in danger and the canister that could end the world is now in terrorist hands he yelled

Colonel I thought it would be good to keep you in the dark so you didn't over react replied General Moore

Over react I'm only doing it now becuase you failed to inform me

Balto eased himself down and took a breath

I'm sorry sir he said

It's alright you have all the right to yell at me I should of let you know what was happening and I'm sorry. Balto were working hard to figure out where these guys have gone I will let you know if we find something. Now I beleive Mrs. Terwell is going to be flying in a few hours so go home get some rest and then go get her. She's had a trying trip I think seeing you will do her some good.

Yes sir replied Balto

Good now I will inform you right away if anything happens you have a goodnight Colonel

Balto then turned and went back to the elevator he pressed the button and the doors opened he got in and sighed and the doors closed.

Washington D.C

11:00pm

 

Balto stood on the runway as Jenna's plane came in and touched down and then taxi'd to the holding area where he was. The plane came to a stop and the cargo doors opened and Jenna came out. She stopped at the end of the ramp.

Rangers she yelled

The Rangers came out of the plane and formed two rows and then Jenna turned toward the plane. Jenna saluted as the caskits came out of the plane and were marched down the center of the two rows. The Rangers stood there in silence and watched as their freinds went by and when the caskit were taken inside the hanger Jenna turned to the men.

At ease gentlemen your free to go she yelled

The Rangers started to walk there seperate ways and Jenna started to walk to Balto. Balto couldn't help but notice she was stareing at the hanger where the caskits were taken and that she was crying.

 

Terwell Residents

Midnight

 

Jenna sat on the couch and stared into the fire that Balto had made. Balto walked in from the kitchen with two cups in his hands and offered one to Jenna. "Thanks" she said and took a sip and then continued to stare into the fire. Balto watched Jenna and he grew concerned and sighed to himself.

Jenna are you alright he said

Yeah I'm ok she replied

No your not you've barely spoken since you landed now what's wrong

Jenna slightly sobbed and turned to Balto

What I had to do at the airport today I don't ever want to do again she said

Jenna you didn't know those men were going to get killed and I'm sure they didn't either they were following orders and they died following them

Jenna started to sob more and she threw her arms around Balto and put her head in his chest. Balto was shocked for a second and then wrapped his arms around her and held her tight doing his best to comfort her.

Sweatheart I'm here for you what's wrong said Balto

Jenna pulled her face out of his chest and Balto wiped her tears

It's just that I don't want either of us to go through that, I mean if either of us were to be killed in the line of duty I don't think I could handle the sight of your coffin if anything happened she said

Jenna began to cry again and Balto put his hands on her face and wiped away a few more tears

Jenna I wouldn't let anything like that happen to either of us I swear to you I will not let that happen he said

Jenna looked up at Balto with a smile and the two of them kissed

You promise said Jenna

I promise I will never do that to you he replied

I promise too said Jenna

The two then embraced

 

Two months Later

Balto and Jenna worked in the kitchen to get dinner ready, cleaning vegetables and cutting them up and then Balto heard Jenna sigh

Whats wrong Jenna

Its hard to believe we still have nothing after two months we have nothing she replied

I know its hard but I’m sure will get something…..

Balto’s cellphone then began to ring and he wipped his hands and then grabbed it off the counter.

O look it’s Moore what did I tell you, he opened it up and answered

Moore we were just talking about you what can I do for yo….. What do mean we’ve gone to defcon one, ok we’ll be there shortly Balto hung up and looked at Jenna

Is everything alright she said

We have to go get your uniform he said with fear in his voice

The elevator opened and Balto and Jenna walked into the room and comforted General Moore

The video cut off and the General turned to Balto and Jenna

So you see why I put the country on alert all are forces are mobelizing and I have all available forces on the East coast searching for those canisters and evacuations are underway in all the cities said General Moore

We have only two so far one here in Washington near White house and the other in Boston but were not sure if there could be more then one in each city he replied
