-“Hey that’s mine! Give it back!” yelps a small pup named Duke.

         -“Never” replied the biggest pup Luke, Running away from him playfully; with the Rabbit his brother had caught in his mouth.

          -“Kids calm down, Luke Give it back.” said their Father Wolf Dukas.

         -“Remember you’re taking them this week, I’ll be back next week with the girls.” Said Orca the Mother Border collie.

         -“Don’t remind me.” he laughs.

         - “Avrill, Miranda, and Adriana c’mon time to visit a good friend of mine: Balto”

         -“I want to see Balto too.” Shouts Luke.

              Orca turned her head and walked out of the shed. “C’mon, girls we mustn’t stall.” The three female pups follow her in to the snow. They hadn’t gone far when she saw Aniu. “Aniu will you help us find your son Balto.” She nodded.  And so they followed her “Thank you Aniu” She said when they came to the out skirts of town three days later. “Your welcome Orca, Well I stop her, as you know he lives in the boat.” “Thanks Aniu” said all three of the pups at once. “Your welcome” she nuzzled the three pups.

           -“Orca, Stay away from Steel with your wolf dog pups.” Aniu turned and disappeared in to the forest.

-“I will” she replied turning to see she was gone, she smiled.

She turned back seeing Boris. “Hey, Boris.”

           -“Orca, I’ve not seen you for three years. Steel told us; he was hunting and you were there, helping him chase down a deer when a wolf took the food from him, and you tried to take it back and the wolf killed you. Where ever have you been?” Says Boris happy she’s alive.

          -“Steel said? Since when doesn’t Steel lie? No, you have it backwards here’s how it was. I saw wolf hunting; so did Steel after Dukas killed the deer…”  

Boris interrupts

       -“Wait who’s Dukas?”

       -“The wolf, back to my story; the wolf wasn’t mean at all. I ran off a few days later. I now live in and old shed.  The wolf is now my Mate and we have five pups” She says stepping aside for Boris to see her three female pups. “This is Adriana, Avrill, and Miranda; we’re coming by to see Balto, I’ve told them how he saved Nome and the Bush Pilot: Duke.”

        -“Ah, I see a nice big family, but where is your mate and other two pups?” ask Boris

        -“Back at the shed they’ll come next week. Man it’s been forever since I was here will you show me to Balto’s Boat?” asks Orca.

       - “Sure anything for you.” replies Boris.

               The four of them go down to Balto’s Boat, when they get there Boris Calls:

       -“Balto, we have guest!”

       -“Who?” He thumps his tail on the Boat happily.

       -“Orca! And her family.” Replies Boris.

       -“Oh, no.” he mumbles “And Steel’s with her?” He asks.

       -“No he’s not” says a familiar voice.

       -“Orca!” He hangs his head over the boat’s side to get a good look at her. “I knew you were alive, but no one believed me.”  He walks down the plank to invite her up. “So, Orca, Would you like to stay at the boat with me and Boris?”

         -“Sure, Balto, do you mind if my pups stay here as well?” Orca shows Balto her pups.

          -“Sure, they can. C’mon aboard. Welcome to the SS. Balto, right this way is the captain’s quarters. That’s my room. Right here’s the food storage.” Balto slips in to a hole and the rest follow. “Right over here’s where the guest room is.” He slips in to a larger hole that used to be a cargo hold. It had eight bags of potatoes for guest beds.  “Here’s where you can sleep.”

             By now it was late so Orca took the pups down to the guest room. Orca placed her pups each on a bag. They slept through the night, but all the nightmares she had Not only about Dukas but Duke and Luke_______________________________________________________________________________

          Orca jumps to her feet and begins to run Balto is there. They’re going someplace then all at once all was dark; pitch black.  A small light hole is opening they are sucked in and taken to a place of forest. Near by a shed is. Inside it is dark. Orca knows this pace her home she walks in. Nothing. She steps back out and steps on a frozen figure. It’s blurred. She stares at it then it’s clear; a wolf dog pup. “Luke!!!!!!” she shouts recognizing the pup. As her own pup Luke! Her pup is lying before her, DEAD!!! Not far also in the snow her pup Duke. She looks to the stars. She looks straight ahead of her. As if this wasn’t bad enough she sees Dukas frozen solid Caring a Deer carcasses in his mouth as if he frozen coming home from the hunt. Then Steel appears and snaps Orca’s neck. ___________________________

-“Dukas!” Orca wakes with a fright. She looks around nowhere in sight! “Luke? Duke? Hello is anyone there?”

-“Orca, are you ok. I heard you yell.” says a familiar voice.

-“Dukas is that you honey?” asks Orca.

-“No, Orca.” says the voice.’

-“Who are you, a-and how do you know m-my n-n-name?” stutters Orca.

-The owner of the voice steps in to the light “Don’t worry Orca it’s just me”

-She sighs in relief “Balto I’m glad it’s you. And not Steel.” She lies down to try to sleep.

-“What’s wrong? I heard you yell.” Balto asks

-“Well… I-it’s…Nothing for you to be concerned about.” Orca finally gets out.

-“What?”  Balto ask again.

-“Weird dreams!” she knew Balto wouldn’t give up yet so she explained it to him; her dream.

-“Oh, I see you miss them and your life.” Balto says.

-“This is my life; I’m just a stupid house pet. Eats when told leaves and goes when told. I‘m a no good house pet” she sighs “This wolf life not right I’m a border collie! But now I can’t fit in now that I have two wolfish pups with me!” she pants heavily.

-Boris walks in “Orca you are better than that. You should live on the out skirts of Nome like Balto.”

-“What about Dukas?” she ask, “The human’s will try to kill him it’s not safe.”

-“And the pups, humans will try to get rid of them” Balto says.

     -Later that evening at the Dogs gathered in the old abandoned barn. They were there to decide what to do about Dukas and the pups.

-“Well if they stay they’ll eat up all our food.” Protest Ralph

-“Ralph, this is not the time to think of your stomach. I think we should let them stay, besides there part dog part wolf what will a few more wolf dogs do to our food supply?” says Dusty

-“But what about the Wolf” asked Mel.

-“Mel, He wouldn’t hurt you or anyone.” says Orca. “Also he hunts and is teaching our pup Luke how to hunt; we wouldn’t even dent your food supply!”

-“The Stupid wolf dogs we have enough… Balto.”

 It was none other than Steel.

-“Hey, that’s my dad your talking about”

Kodi growls

-“What are you going to do, Mutt? Come and get me?”

 Laughs Steel

-“Kodi don’t he’s stronger,”

Whines Dusty,

-“Please don’t”.

   In moments Kodi was pinned to the ground and in his hind leg he felt massive pain. “Owww” he moaned, trying to get to his feet, every time he slipped back down. Dusty knew his leg was broken and he wouldn’t fight, she would fight if she wasn’t going to have pups that night.

-“Orca, are you there? Go get the vet hurry before Steel does more!” yelps Dusty.

Orca knocks Steel over, and runs to the vet’s office.

-“Aroo” she howls.

           Allison, her puppy and the vet come and follow her.

-“Where?” asks Allison.

-“Arf, Arf” Orca starts
