Hope you guys like it.My very first fanfic!Oh yeah!:D

Dennis was sleeping on his little bed.The sun rose and a ray of sunlight beamed in his eye.Dennis blinked and yawned.Today was his birthday.The day he would turn a yearling.Happy Birthday my bud!Exclaimed his roomate Eddie.Thanks Eddie.Dennis replied.Eddie brought out a squeaky bone marinated in Moose meat.Dennis played with it for a while but after just layed down again.Eddie was confused.T-that's it?Your all birthdayed-out?Eddie stammered.Dennis nodded sadly.Eddie frowned.Then he grabbed him by the scruff,threw him outside and nudged him to go further.WHAT ARE Y-.Dennis stopped talking and froze.Huh,earth to Dennis,earth to Dennis,why are you like this?Eddie asked.Eddie looked at Dennis,then he followed his gaze.Eddie saw that Dennis was staring at a female about his age.He he he,what a gaze,looks like your going into some action!Eddie teased.Eddie decided to give Dennis a "head start" and pushed him out further.What are you doing tonight girl!Eddie yelled.Then he hid quickly behind a tree and it was clear Eddie was framing him.The female stared at Dennis.Dennis was sweating,shaking,and blushing.Um,nothing I guess.The female replied with her soft,gentle voice.The female walked toward Dennis.Dennis tried to reply but he didn't know how.Oh,um,good.Dennis replied.Good!?!The female exclaimed.Dennis lowered his ears.No!Not good!Definitely not good!I mean,it could be good,because someone,w-will ask you,if,uh.Dennis struggled to say the right words.The female smiled at him and brushed her tail under his chin.Dennis literally fell.Oh!Are you okay?!The female said as she picked him up.Poor Dennis smiled but was bleeding on his chin.Oh no.Your bleeding.The female said concerned.Dennis's eyes widened he didn't want to look like he had sensitive skin.N-no I'm not!Dennis stammered.Yes you are,here let me get it.The female said as she leaned toward him.Dennis pulled back.It's okay,let me help,i'm not gonna bite.The female said as softly as she could.She then gently lapped away the blood.There.The female said when she was done cleaning him off.Dennis smiled at her.Then he heard other voices.Come on Nikki!It's time to go!A female yelled.Dennis glanced over.Four others that looked similar to Nikki was calling her.Oh,I got to go.You know I don't even know your name.Nikki smiled.Dennis.Dennis replied.Dennis,well bye!Nikki said as she left.

Eddie started to laugh when he heard Dennis happily sigh and say the name Nikki.Hehe,I see your in love!Eddie teased.No I am not!Besides,she's beautiful and has very sleek fur,and I am-Dennis got interupted.No good?Eddie asked.Yeah.Dennis replied crossly.Dennis plopped on the floor.Dennis sighed.Eddie stood silent for a moment and then blurted out.Go meet her!Again...I guess.Eddie chuckled.Dennis got up and nodded he went outside again.Eddie smiled and sat down.

Dennis followed her scent.It took about 3o minutes until he fell upon a river . . . . .

Dennis met Nikki again,she was by the river.Hi.Dennis said soflty.Nikki whipped around.You followed me?!Dennis began getting nervous again.N-no,I mean,well technically I am but.."Nikki sighed.She slipped into the river.Dennis rushed to the edge to see if she was alright.She reappeared on the other side.Nice to see you again.Dennis called out.Nikki smiled.Even though Dennis wasn't the best swimmer he swam across.He greeted her only to be interupted by a low voice.Who are you!?!"Dennis trembled in fear as he saw a black wolf with icy blue eyes.Yes,you are right to be afraid of my prescence,what is your name?"The wolf commanded.D-dennis.Dennis replied weakly.Speak up!!The wolf bellowed.Dennis!!My name is Dennis!"Dennis shouted.Hmm...my name is Makrov,be gone now,Nikkia and I don't have time to be prattled at by scrawny dogs.Makrov said as he slightly elbowed Nikki.The word "dog" pierced Dennis like a knife,he was no dog!Dennis glanced at Nikki then left.

Dennis ran back to his den.Tears builded up in his eyes.He shook his head to take them off.He burst through the entrance.Eddie froze.Dennis sat down and told him everything that happened . . . . . .

So,this guy...Makrov,he was like,protecting Nikki?Eddie asked.Dennis nodded.There's more!Dennis exclaimed.Eddie's jaw dropped in disbelief.More?!Eddie shoved his ears forward.He said.."Me and Nikkia" he gave Nikki a nickname and protecting her like a mate,do you think Makrov is her mate?Dennis looked up at Eddie.Eddie's face turned from shock to symphathy.You really like her don't you?Eddie asked with a sigh.No I....yes I confess,I like her!Dennis wailed.Dennis layed down on the floor and Eddie rested his head on top of Dennis's.Suckish birthday.Eddie whispered.

Dennis twitched his ears as in saying "yeah".Dennis closed his eyes.He went to sleep to clear his thoughts . . . . .

Dennis was in a dream.He heard voices.He turned around.Nikki was on the other side of a river.He smiled.Dennis swam across the river.When he got up,the sky turned black.Nikki disappeared.Makrov towered over him.He laughed and lunged at Dennis.Dennis squealed.

Dennis awoke from the sound of other wolves talking.He peeped out and saw a wolf.It had three shades of brown,one shade of black,and one shade of creme.He slipped out.Hello.Dennis greetd.The other wolf froze for a moment,shoulders tense.Dennis relaxed and showed no signs of a threat.He tipped his head to one side with one ear flopped to show that he was friendly.Names Solo.The wolf replied.Names Dennis.Dennis replied.Hey have you seen a wolf named Nikki anywhere?Her fur colors are....Dennis interupted him.Yeah I know her,and no I haven't seen her anywhere.How do you know her?Solo was about to answer when Solo stopped himself.Why the hell do you care?!Solo spat.Dennis smirked.Sorry.Dennis said solemnly.Solo relaxed.You know your not so bad,Dennis.Solo said with a smile.He nodded forward as in saying to walk with him.Dennis laughed.He went by Solo's side.Solo offered to tell Dennis about Nikki since he was a close friend.He told Dennis who to be alert for,like Makrov,Kiril,and Zakharv.Who you could relax by such as Viktor,Manuel,and Nikki's siblings.Dennis was pleased that another wolf was protecting her,so he wanted to become friends with Viktor,if he had the chance.

Dennis was on his way to see Nikki.He heard sobbing.He rushed to where it came from.There he saw Nikki,sobbing.Nikki?Dennis called as he went around to see the wolf's face.It was Nikki.What do you want?Nikki asked,her voiced cracked.I just...what's wrong?Nikki sighed.Manuel....he,got attacked.Nikki returned to her sobbing.Dennis's head swam,Manuel was the wolf Solo had mentioned to him!Nikki said he had died between gasps.Dennis held her.Emediatly his fur got soaked by tears.Dennis felt terrible,he thought it was his fault.He thought maybe he could have saved Manuel.Dennis thought of the time Nikki took care of him with his cut.He thought he was aslo taking care of Nikki with her dispair.Dennis started to close his eyes.

He woke up in the morning with Nikki in his arms.Dried streams of tears left a path on her cheeks.Dennis smiled.Nikki blinked her eyes.She got up and yawned.Thanks Dennis but I got to go.Nikki said softly.Dennis nodded.

A few days later Solo came up to Dennis.Hey Dennis guess what?!Solo seemed worried and scared.Dennis shrugged his shoulders.Nikki's gone!Solo shouted.WHAT!?What do you mean she's gone?!Dennis exclaimed as he got up.Solo's fur prickled.She left!I am going to search for her,you stay here,maybe she'll come back.Solo said his voice calming down a bit.Dennis nodded solemnly.

What will happen next?Will Nikki come back?Will Solo find her?Was this Makrov's doing?Find out in A Broken Heart Part 2!
