As light stung his eyes, Torak opened his eyes to see a beautiful brown and cream she-dog. "Moring little one." She whispered, her voice was calming and as smooth as silk. He whimpered in happiness and heard other whimpers and then heard "MOMMY! Can we go outside!?" Torak heard screeching from his little brothers. "Sweety I told you to hush, your little brothers are trying to sleep. Ask your father." The little she-pup whined, "But daddy doesn't like us, he called us snot nosed little bi-" The pup was cut off by Torak's mother, Sura, saying, "Shhhh, don't use that language." The pup nodded, confused then looked at Torak, her sea blue eyes piercing into his leaf green eyes. "This is Torak right?" Sura nodded before a voice boomed out , "SURA!" A huge wail came from one of Torak's little brothers as their father came in, a brown and white husky entered the room. "Yes dear?" Sura asked worried. "WE'RE supposed to be delivering mail! Not looking after these brats!" He yelled, the female puppy hid behind her mother afraid while Torak's little brothers hid in their mothers belly fur. "Oh honey, Theo and Alphonse aren't old enough to be left alone." Their father sighed angrily, "You stupid excuse for a animal! This is a husky farm! There are tons of females to look after them." Sura tensed, "Well I want to be with them." Their father growled "Fine! But hurry!" He stomped out 2 of Torak's siblings following him. "Mama...?" Torak whimpered Sura looked at him surprised, Torak was 5 months old and opened his eyes and started trotting but he never spoke in front of people but whispered to his mother. "Yes?" His mother said. Torak struggled to speak as his sister, Shila, gaped at him, "Why is daddy mean?" Sura sighed, "Your father, Titan, is a dog who only cares about pleasing his owners, getting the job done, and being in charge. Anything against that , he'll tear you apart." Torak gulped, but Shila looked nervous. She had been told this many times so it doesn't scare her so much anymore. "So that's why he likes your brother and other sister, they do what he says and get the job done, and do whatever it takes to please him." Torak whimpered as fear struck him when it was time for him and his siblings to head off to Nome.
Torak huddled closer to his sisters and brothers on the chilly ride to Nome so his parents could drop off the mail. He heard his mother at the head barking "Are they okay?" His father snarled back, "Their old enough to take care of themselves you imbecile!" She fell silent. It seemed like hours before they reached Nome and Shila and Torak jumped out and explored , as for Toki and Kira the eldest pups waited quietly and patiently for their father to be unhooked for a break before they headed off. "KIRA!" Titan hollered, Kira took a step forward, "Yes father?" Titan looked at the pup "Perfect posture, eyes forward, legs sturdy... Kira! Your breath is putrid! " Kira immediately found some mint, put it in snow and swallowed it, then walked back and got back in her position. Titan smelled and nodded his approval, "TOKI!" Kira stepped back and Toki stepped forward, Titan muttered, "Good breath, great posture, eyes forward... Toki your legs are quivering!" Toki whined "It's cold." Titan growled, "Your weaker than a female!? Is that what your saying?!" He got bigger and Toki looked 10 times smaller.
Sura burst out of nowhere and knocked Titan to the ground, Torak could hear the air being knocked out of his father and the growling of his mother. "Sura!!!" Titan croaked, Sura's eyes were full of hatred. "Don't ever do that again." She backed off and began to walk away before Toki yelled, " I don't need your help you bitch!" Torak yelled at Toki "If it weren't for her you wouldn't be alive!" Toki whipped his head towards Torak and growled, Titan had gotten up by now and walked towards Kira. "Get Steele you worthless scrap of kibble!" His voice quivered with anger, as Kira galloped away towards a house. Torak walked towards Shila and growled asking, "What's their problem?!" Shila shrugged, "Mom says dad is a jerk." Torak rounded on her, "I KNOW THAT!" He barked Shila growled and stalked away.
Torak turned his attention to a new comer following Kira, he was black and white with ice blue eyes. "Hi Titan!" The dog yelled, Titan turned around, as if the attack a enemy but stopped when he saw who the dog was. "Hi Steele!" Titan bounded up to him like a puppy seeing one of its siblings again after being apart. Wow... I've never seen dad so..... happy. Well I've never seen him happy at all. Torak became curious if this was a uncle of his, he suddenly thought that couldn't be, yes they were both big and maybe aggressive but Steele would have been at the husky farm, plus he looked much older than Titan. "So what do you need me for Titan?" Steele asked clearly confused. "Steele I need you to, @$@#^$%^...." Titan whispered so quietly only Toki and Kira could hear. "What? Why?" Steele asked not upset but... was that interest in his tone? Titan explained it to Steele again then Kira and Toki got a odd grin. What the heck?
"Hey..." Torak whipped his head around to see Shila looking upset. "What's up?" Torak asked he didn't like seeing his sister upset. "I'm sorry about, err, stating the obvious earlier." Shila whimpered, Torak felt bad, he had hurt his sisters feelings, he would have never done this if he hadn't began to talk today. "No, i-it's my fault. I shouldn't have been rude to you." Shila touched her nose to Torak's shoulder. Torak heard his mother coming. "It's time you two had lunch." All of a sudden Torak and Shila's stomachs started growling. Sura smiled and led them to some kibble, Torak sniffed it and it smelled odd but he licked it. It tasted good then he started eating it as did Shila. When they were full they fell asleep near the sled, but for some reason Torak felt something was wrong. Oh well, it can wait till we wake up.
While Torak was sleeping he felt as there was nothing under him. He flickered open his eyes and they opened wide in shock. He was in the air! "Whuh?" He groaned still sleepy, he hit snow, face first. He lifted up his face to hear a squeal from his sister as she was tossed from the sled, and landed on him. "Gegh uff." He growled his voice muffled. Shila stepped to the side, then they heard Alphonse and Theo wailing. "ALPHONSE! THEO!" Shila screamed she ran toward where they were going to land. Torak pulled his face out of the snow, he turned around to see Shila carrying Alphonse in her mouth and Theo on her back. "Tagh Al." She muffled with Alphonse in her mouth. Torak took Alphonse and looked where the sled was going, their mother was asleep on the sled with Toki and Kira next to her grinning. Their Father in the lead, running as fast as he could. "They ditched us!" Torak said in shock.
Chapter 2: The Second Beginning(Rachel)Rachel yipped at her father as he returned. "Where did you go daddy?" Steele growled, "I was with my friend." Rachel backed away towards her brother, the other two had been adopted already and their mother left them with Steele. "Which friend?" Her brother was brave enough to ask, Steele turned to them not looking angry, "Titan." "Oh." Rachel muttered. Rachel's mother, Vanessa wanted to name them but Steele could care less so Rachel and her brothers named themselves. She named herself Rachel, her brothers didn't tell her their names she only told them hers, probably scared she might make fun of theirs since they were knuckle heads. She also beat her brothers up all the time, "Where's mom?" Her brother asked, "Huh? Oh your mother will be here soon, but it doesn't matter, you were already adopted." Rachel howled and her brother yipped. "YES!!"
Steele growled and flopped down on his dog bed. Five minutes passed and their mother arrived, her beautiful red and white/grey fur shining in the moonlight. "Hi honey!" She said to Steele she turned her head to her pups, "Hi sweeties!" She nuzzled her pups she looked at Steele and teased, " What's up Steele, your master making you work too much?" Steele growled and then said, "Maybe.." Rachel and her brother bowled over laughing and Steele chuckled a few times. Out of all the females Steele mated with, Vanessa was the one he loved most. He walked over and licked her cheek, Rachel did the same with her brother who leaped back in shock at her affection. She huffed in annoyance, Steele looked at Rachel and sighed, "I'm sorry to upset you Rachel but my master said no one would adopt you." Rachel's eyes widened, "Why?!" Steele said, "Because your staying with me and becoming a member of my team." Rachel leaped in the air, excited. Being on her father's team was a privilege, no a miracle to Rachel.
Her brother bowled over laughing. She started growling, then her brother stood straight up and
