Stormy moved quickly and quietly through the trees currently sheilding her from detection of her enemy. She was on the Perfect pack turf alone, which was both foolish and dangerous, but she couldn't risk the whole pack being detected, she had to get close enough to listen in on the meeting, she looked around quickly hoping to find somthing to help her out when she got an idea.
A muddy brown she-wolf sat patiently among all the other wolves that had gathered, mostly by force, and there were plenty of guards lazing about, knowing they could quickly catch anyone who tried to run. Niju and Coal stepped foward and everyone went silent. "Thank you all for coming, and I appreciate your cooperation. I'm here to tell you that we have a threat amoungst us, she has tricked me and attacked two of my pack members and made a mockery of what we stand for. Some of you may know her, and even be friends with her, but Stormy is a threat that has to be stopped. For those of you who don't know her, she is a smokey grey wolf with darker grey markings on her face, ears, legs, and tail, and has blue-grey eyes. I would prefer her brought to me alive, but should you have to bring her to me dead so be it. Dismissed." All wolves departed, and the muddy brown female made her way to the southeastern border.
"See, I told you guys it would work, you didn't have to come" she said confidently, and shook her fur to reveal the stormy grey coat of Stormy, "I know, but we still wanted to come , just to make sure" Twila said kindly. "Well you didn't have to, its not like anyone recognized me!" she snapped, then quickly realized how rude she'd just been, after all they were only looking out for her. "Sorry Twila, that was out of line, you guys go home, I'm going on patrol" she said and quickly departed.
Stormy wasn't really on guard for anything, nobody ever came up here, when she went on patrol she was usually going off somewhere to think. Ever sense she and the others broke Stream out, and she fled from Coal's den, they'd become fugitives, and now Niju was trying to force others to hunt them down, but ever sense she fled from Coal she'd become more, and more moody. Crying, laughing, or getting mad, her mood could change in the blink of an eye. What happened with Twila was minor compared to what she'd been like a few days ago, she didn't want to admit it, but she had an idea she knew what was wrong, her pride always told her otherwise. The memory flooded back anyway.
Stormy ran out of the den and into Coal's embrace, tears streaming down her cheeks "shh, shh,sh" he comforted "go to my den I'll be there in a minuet." She did as she was told and ran to his den. She curled up in the cornner, still forcing herself to cry, when Coal walked in. "Are you ok love?" he asked walking over and curling himself up beside her. She siffed "yeah, i-its just really hard, w-we've been friends for so long I..." she trailed off and chocked on another sob. He started nuzzling her affectionately. She closed her eyes, and tensed slightly when she felt his tongue caress her face. She knew this was getting out of hand, but she couldn't shun his advances, he might catch on. "Your mine Stormy" he whispered affectionately, but possesively at the same time...
'You let him claim you, its your own fault! He marked you and claimed you because you didn't fight back! You know what's going on Stormy, you are not that dense!' her mind scolded, and it was right, it was her own fault. 'Its been three weeks that's not your organs kicking against you and you know it!' "i'm pregnant" she whispered "oh gosh I'm pregnant." Stormy tried to sort through her dizzying thoughts 'ok first thing's first, go tell mom.'
Coal was confused, had she used him? He didn't think so, though he knew her pack had busted Stream out, had she gone with them? Of course, but why? Had she gotten scared, maybe, but he couldn't help but feel betrayed by the little rebel wolf. He loved her deeply, and he needed to know if she returned the feeling, and he was going to find out.
"...but mother I can't have pups with him, I mean what will I do when I have to tell them about their father? He's a bad guy don't go near him, that's hardly a way to speak to a pup about their parent."
"I'm sorry dear, but I don't have your answers, have you told anyone else?"
"no, and I'm not going to tell anyone else, Coal will try to control me and my pack will hate me."
"Well your going to have to tell sometime sweetie they'll be here before you know it."
Stormy sighed "yeah, thanks mom, I gotta go." Stormy knew her mother was right, that she would have to tell Coal and her pack, but she couldn't right now. They'd gotten word that Niju had some prisoners, and they were going to bust them out.
"Hey Tibalt" Stormy said as she met up with the smokey colored wolf. "Hey there you are, your usually here way before to make sure everyone's prepared. Are you ok?"
"Yeah, sorry I went to see my mom." Tibalt gave her a puzzled look "what?" she snapped. "You've been acting strange lately Stormy." Tibalt stated gazing at his friend and leader with worried eyes. "I have not Tibalt, now step off!" she growled trying to shove past the large male, but he just stepped back in her path. "No, I think something's wrong with you, how else would you explain your severe mood swings?" Stormy gave Tibalt a death glare. "Just what are you implying Tibalt?" she asked cooly "your pregnant aren't you?" Stormy tensed before she folded her ears and lowered her head "yes" she answered quietly. "Its him isn't it? He finally did it."
"Yes"
"I'm so sorry Stormy" he said and gently nuzzled her. "Yeah, me to, but let's not worry about it right now. We have prisoners to save."
"Yeah, what's your plan for that?"
"I'm going to turn myself in."
"What?"
Stormy just laughed. "Relax, and be ready, breaking out won't be as easy."
Stormy slipped silently through the trees in Perfect pack turf, keeping an eye out for anyone she didn't wish to see her. She spotted Niju and Coal through the trees, she stalked over as close as she could, scarecly daring to breathe, but she didn't expect to hear this type of conversation.
Coal glared angrily at his father "I'm going to look for her, you won't stop me."
"No! I will not allow you to chase after some rebel wolf, she won't be any good for this pack!"
Stormy decided to edge a little closer to the two argueing males. "Is there somthing you'd like to add Stormy?" Niju asked turning to face her. "You know what? There is" Stormy replied defiantly. "Its been a hard winter, and with food scarce as it is, its hard to lead a pack. I'm tired of running, I guess to put it simply, I surrender." Niju growled and bared his fangs "you expect me to believe that? I bet the rest of your rebel pack is watching just over the borderline!"
"No, I came alone."
Coal was completely dumbfounded, Stormy was actually giving up? It didn't seem possible. For as long as he knew her, Stormy had never given up on anything, why on earth would she? After she had fought so hard, maybe, she was doing it for him.
"Take her to the prison den!" Niju growled and two guards took her away.
They shoved her rather forcefully into the den, but she managed to keep her footing. She looked around the small den, realyzing just how cramped it was. Some of the wolves you could tell were halfbreeds just by looking at them. "Is this the Redwood clan?" she asked. "Yes" a tawny she-wolf replied "who are you?"
"I'm Stormy from the Rebel pack, we're gonna bust you guys out of here "How?" a male's voice piped up.
"It shouldn't be to hard, but we'll have to wait until later this evening, that's usually when this pack decides to get lazy, weaker guards, and evening hunts, if we can get to the border we'll be fine."
"What about the alpha won;t he be a problem?" the same tawny female askd. "No, he doesn't care if we're alive or dead, the only thing we have to worry about is his son Coal, and he won't be a problem."
The sky faded from blue to rich orange and red as the sun began to set, and the guard had already changed places. Swift ran up and easily knocked the guard unconscious, he very rarely killed. "It took you long enough" Stormy teased. Swift laughed "don't start complaining or I'll leave you here" he shot back. Stormy tolled her eyes "where are the others?"
"At the border, waiting, I already checked everything's clear, its a straight shot home."
The group of wolves finally reached the border, but it hadn't been easy, alot of the wolves were weak, and could barely stand on their own, let alone run. However, that wasn't the reason everyone came to an abrupt stop, it was Coal, a very angry Coal. His dark fur was bristled, his fangs were bared, and his emerald green eyes flamed with fury. "Move Coal" Stormy said authoritively. "No, explain somthing to me first" Stormy's patience was wearing thin. "What!" she snapped angrily, practically spitting the word at him. "What's gotten into you Stormy? Why do you keep running
