Not to criticize, but the characters' behavior was pretty erratic. Aniu's attack on Kito for simply stating that the pups wouldn't be accepted by others just comes out of nowhere, and the way she split up her pups and didn't keep any of them in her own care seems very uncharacteristic. But it is your first time.

Then again, I was a beginner once myself. I suggest you keep at it.
