Edelweiss kept listening to maria's parents conversation and she grew angrier and angrier everytime she thought about it. Maria went to sleep and after her parents conversation, Anna came up stairs and sang Maria a song. "edelweiss, edelweiss. every mornig you greet me. small and white clean and bright, you look happy to meet me, blossom of snow may you bloom and grow, bloom and grow forever. Edelweiss, edelweiss. Bless my home land forever." anna sang to her. Always after anna sang that and she went to sleep, Maria would sing that to Edelweiss. Edelweiss loves to hear Maria sing. Edelweiss would always sleep beside Maria. and if Edelweiss heard a sound, she's wake up and makes sure everything is fine.

          The next day, Edelweiss was talking to the Nazi dogs ( nazi dogs are dogs who work for the Nazis) . " You, why do you want the inocent people of Austria?!" Edelweiss asked with anger. " We don't want them, miss, our leader wants them." one of the Nazi dogs said. " Well, why does he want them?" she asked. The 2 dogs looked at eack other and shrugged their shoulders like they didn't know why. " Listen here, Miss..." " Edelweiss!" Edelweiss yeld to the Nazi dog who called her Miss. " Ok, Edelweiss, we don't know why. we just have to do our jobs to earn some respect. We don't want to hurt anyone, it's just our job." the second Nazi dog said. " And where is your leader, and what does he do to the people he wants." Edelweiss asked again." Our leader is in north eastern Germany. And he puts them in a camp where they're tourteed and they turn into nothing but skin and bones and they die." The first dog whisped. Edelweiss gasped and started to brethe heavily and pant. " Sorry boys, I have to go." 

            For the next few days edelweiss stayed by Maria's side. Edelweiss was on guard for those few days and longer. At home, everything went bad. " herman, what's wrong." Anna asked. Herman dreadfully replied," I lost my job and i'm not allowed to find a new one." " But why, what did you do so wrong?" Anna asked. " you forgot the reason why the Nazis are here, they want our people! I don't know what's to become of us! We're done for!" Herman yeld. " So does this mean..." Anna couldn't finnish her sentence and she sat down and leaned her head on her hand. Maria came home from school. " Oh papa! " Maria cried. " What? What has happened to you." Herman cried. " Those mean men stopped me on the way home and was poking at my book bag and i was all alone and they were speking German and it got me so scared!" Maria couldn't let go of her father and kep on crying. Edelweiss went and tried to help them smile and stop crying, but nothing worked. Edelweiss started to cry.

          The next day, Maria went to school with fear. Edelweis tried to get into the school but they wouldn't let her. she was sent home and no one was home to her dog house, just Edelweiss. " edelweiss, what are you doing all alone?" White bone asked. " oh, i was sent home because i tried to get into the school to protect Maria and they wouldn't let me." Edelweiss sighed. " and you're not allowed out of the house?" star replied. " nope." edelweiss said. " not evan if you have to go?" star asked. " well, they do have a tray i can use but i don'y want to talk about it." edleweiss said. Edelweiss looked over her bother and sister and saw 2 Nazi dogs walking over with anger. " hey, you two." the first one said. Star and Whait Bone turned around with fear in yheir hearts and looked at them. " what are you 2 doing." the first one asked again. " we were just talking to our sister." White Bone said. " oh really, well you can't talk to her, we need to talk to her, so get! go! scarm!" the second one said. " why did you scare off my Borther and Sister?" Edelweiss asked. " we scared them off so we can talk to you." the first one said. Edelweiss looked into his eyes, and it looked like she saw... nothing but evil. " alright, why did you try to get into that... school house today?" the second one said. Edelweiss looked as if she was going to pounce on them. " i wanted to be with my girl, Maria. i made a vowe to protect her, and stand by her side... till she dies." Edelweiss replied. " well, you don't need to put your self in the dog house. you could just wait till she gets home." the second one said. the first one looked as if her were to burst out laughing. " hey Alpha. you just made a joke. you said to put yourself in the dog house, and she's in one!" the 2 Nazi dogs laughed and laughed. " what is so funny you dirty little moreons!" Edelweiss asked. the 2 dogs spoke in their German dog Language. Edelweiss couldn't understand a word. " it's just, you're in the dog house and that means you're in trouble. and you're really in the dog house." the first one said with a frown on his face. " hahaha, very funny." Edelweiss said sacasticly. " you wouldn't understand a joke if your life depended on it! " the second one sneered at her and Edelweiss was trying to be brave. " now stay in your dog house and don't come out! " the first one said. the 2 walked away and started to speak German again. Edelweiss was about to atack but she thought it would be the wrong thing to do.

        Herman Came home and looked so nervous. Edelweiss tried to cheer him up like usal, but Herman didn't stop worring about something. herman put down the paper that got him worried, and got a cup of coffe. Edelweiss read it, and She ran outside to get Maria. anna came in and Herman hugged her and she read the paper. Anna screamed and started to cry. Edelweiss found Maria and took her home. " papa,Anna? what's the matter?" Edelweiss didn't want to hear Maria cry, and went to see her sibblings. Herman and Anna sat down with Maria and told her. Maria did cry. Edelweiss was outside and talked to White bone and star. " guys, you need to help me!" edelweiss told her siblings. " Whats going on? Why do you seem so upset?" White Bone asked." Herman, was upset because the nazi want him and Maria, and Anna to go to jail!!!" Edelweiss screamed. " Oh my god!" Star said. "What do you want us to do though?" " well, i thought you can... just help me think of something." Edelweiss started to cry. " Hey! what are you doing crying and all!" a nazi dog yeld at edelweiss. They were the 2 same dogs she's been talking to. edelweiss stopped crying and cornered a Nazi dog and Said," I'm crying because of you and your dumb army, your carelessness and selfishness, and your leader's craziness!" Edelweisws yeld at the dog and growled. " get your filthy paws off of me! you could be under arest for doing this to a solider for the Nazis, but i'll give you a warning." Edelweiss got off the dog and said," you will be arested with out warning soon." Edleweiss walked away and went in the house. Maria and Herman and Anna were eating dinner." oh there you are Edelweiss, come and get your dinner." edelweiss dropped  her tounge out in a good way. Edelweiss ate her dinner and tried to think of things she could do save her family. " oh edelweiss, i'll miss you so much." Maria bent down and hugged Edelweiss. Edelweiss was very brave cuz she found and idea. If those nazi come in the house, Whitebone, Star, and Edelweiss were just going to attack the Nazis if they came durring the night and if they didn't, star would whatch anna, whitebone would whatch herman, and edleweiss would whatch Maria. That didn't work. They were all taken by the Nazis at the same time. they were loaded on a wagon and shipped off. edelweiss tried so hard to fallow, she could hear Maria calling her name. " Edelwiess! Edelweiss! come here girl!" Maria cried " Stop that you idiotic girl!" the nazi inside slapped Maria across the face. Maria sat down and cried. Edelweiss kep running. she jumped on the wagon and the guard almost pushed her off but she bit him. The Nazi dog that edelweiss held up against the wall came and attcked Edelweiss. She fell off the wagon and edelweiss was out cold. The dog bit her and scatched her and left.

     1 hour later, edlweiss woke up and was in pain. she lost the sent of the wagon. the Nazi dig came back over. " Woke i see. I thought I killed you... well, I'll kill you now." right befoe he dug his claws into her..." What is going on here man!" a new different, handsome nazi dog said. " Oh... well you see Baradwulf ... she tried to stop the wagon that left in hour to poland." The dog said very nervously. " You cant just kill her because she tried to save her little girl! Idiot! Why did they put you on the force? Ecuse me, lady... are you ok?" he asked. Edlweiss got up and pounced very weakly on to Baradwulf. She sneered at him. " My little girl is gone... and it's all your fault!!! I hate all of you Nazis! I hope you all drop dead, and Hitler too!" Edelweiss shouted. " Ecuse me edelweiss, but it's just our job! and you have no right to say that! come with me." Baradwulf said frecely. Baradawulf took edlweiss to the back of the empty house that belonged to herman and Anna.
