Revel slid to a stop at the end of the ledge at the top of the rock face and lowered her black moist nose to the frosted ground and tracked at the head of the group, The ice beneath the frost was extremely precarious and difficult to walk on for aleu, five seconds after being on it she slipped and fell on her side and began to slip down the side of the face of the cliff, the silent wolves ahead of her padded steadily on, not realizing that the wolf at the rear had fallen. she whimpered quietly and yelped. Apryl twitched her ear and whirled around, she leapt to Aleu's side, barely missing the edge, and hauled Aleu up onto the safe ledge.

"thanks a lot Apryl!" Aleu gasped, relieved.

"hey no problem, how long were you hangin' there?" Apryl laughed happily. Aleu grimaced in mock anger and chuckled, following Apryl and the rest of the group into the forest.

Sylar led the two other wolves through the thick bushes, and caught on to the trail of a large jack rabbit, He eyed it hungrily and ordered Hartly and Astrin,

"Hartly, you go around the back, Astrin, you go to the right, and I'll take the left."

The three silently assumed position and leapt into the rabbit's veiw, Once the rabbit sighted them, it froze in it's tracks in vivid surprise. Astrin recklessly padded forwards and recoiled in pain as the rabbit's claws lashed out into Astrin's chest, Creating thick, jagged lines. Astrin howled into the sky as Hartly dashed exuberantly after the retreating rodent. Sylar licked at Astrin's wound as he whimpered and growled simultaneously, Sylar glanced desperatly around for something to stop blood from gushing out of the wound further. but he found nothing. He snarled in frustration and lead Astrin to a slow stream bubbling in a shallow groove leading from the mountain. Suddenly a black and gray wolf emerged from the ferns on the opposite side of the stream and said quietly,

"pull him up higher in the stream to where the glaciers first run off, It will numb his pain until the blood stops running down the stream."

"who are you?" Sylar questioned while leading Astrin gently up the stream.

" my name is Thursday, this is Monday, and Sunday, we are all part of the Day pack." He spoke softly pointing to a light tan wolf with a slightly darker muzzle and a tan with a pure black muzzle and paws. all three at least twice the size of Sylar, Astrin, and Hartly, who had now caught up to the pair with a limp rabbit clamped between his jaws, his silver fur glinting in the weak sunlight. Hartly placed the rabbit on Astrin's back and helped Sylar carry him/drag him up the stream pushing against their paws as they tread through it effortlessly. The helpful trio dissapated into the trees once more as if ghosts. Sylar waited patiently for astrin to feel better and padded slowly back towards the clearing with a rabbit grasped between their teeth again.

Aleu followed directly behind Revel at the head of the group, Revel's head lifted abruptly as she narrowed her eyes and snarled. A cream coloured wolf burst from the light shadows.

"Who the heck are you?!" Apryl growled instantly, bristling.

"My name is Lactic, but that's not important! have you seen the Day Pack anywhere around here?" Lactic whimpered, cowering in fear.

"No, who are they?" Revel asked,

"they are a vicious pack of huge wolves at least twice your size, they are led by a Black and grey wolf named Thursday," Lactic growled

A small distant howl sounded in the distance as Lactic spoke, lactic whipped around in terror and howled in sorrow as he fell to the ground, "And that was my best friend!!! He's dead by now I suppose their coming for ME now." Lactic sighed in sadness, silvery tears spilling from his brown eyes.

"Well, we can't do anything sitting here like ducks can we?" Skylar spoke from the side. Lactic raised his head wearily. "Let's find Sylar Astrin and Hartly and take these jerks down," Skylar continued, her eyes growing dark.

"fine, I'll call Astrin." Revel growled eagerly, lifting her head to the sky. Just as she started to howl, a light tan wolf burst from the trees and clamped her teeth around Revel's throat, bristling and struggling, Revel strained againts her captors' grasp. Apryl snarled and crouched down into a fighting stance and leapt into the air but was pulled back roughly by a light cream wolf with black paw stripes and thrown against a large pine tree. Aleu stared in horror as the cream wolf that attacked Apryl started towards Skylar whose back was turned towards Revel's struggling form, Aleu howled a short warning to Skylar but was stopped by a huge black and grey wolf who dug his teeth into Aleu's shoulder and pinned her against the forest floor face to face with the unconcious Apryl. a darker yellowish wolf took the place of the large black and grey one. Aleu concluded that the grey one was the leader of the four wolves who attacked them. the unknown leader padded up to Revel until he was directly in front of her.

"you are the Nome wolves, we have already met your friends with the rabbit, and I'm guessing you are worried about them, well... They I am happy to say, are still alive and have no suspicion of our attack here and now." the leader growled gruffly, "my name is Thursday, the leader of this pack and ruler of the Alaskan Wolf Packs  United and it is my duty to unite all known wolf packs in Alaska either by persuasion or force. As you may have noticed, you'll have to choose one or the other."
