"I can't be with you any longer.. I'm sorry Damon.." Fire said shaking the snow off her fur. Damon's eyes began to fill up "What do you mean?" Fire ran off with tear-filled eyes. Damon was stunned. He loved her with all his heart and now she broke up with him. It didn't feel right. The snow fell on his black nose and he ran off trying not to cry. Fire was in a cave crying, she still loved Damon but he was holding her back from her life. She saw the snow falling and she curled up to the cave walls. It was so cold but now she had no one to cuddle up with. She felt alone. Had she just made a big mistake? She wasnt sure what was right from wrong now. Suddenly her brother Nick walked into the cave. "There you are sis! We should get out of here. It could be a bear cave!"

Fire laughed," Don't be ridiculous! It can't be a-" They suddenly heard a big roar. Nick was right. It WAS a bear cave. They two siblings ran away from the bear as fast as they could. The bear was fast too, which was very unusual. Fire tripped and the bear pounced on her. Nick jumped on the bear and Fire got away but she got a scar on her nose from the bear's claw. Nick also managed to get away and they hid in a bush. The bear went away since he couldn't find them. "Thanks alot Fire! You almost got us killed!"

"Sorry.. I just broke up with Damon.." Fire said sitting down rubbing her sore nose. Nick sighed "I'm sorry about that but you have to be more careful.." Fire sighed too "Yeah yeah I know.." She walked back home and pounced on her best friend Libby. Libby was a beautiful young wolf. She was Nick's mate and she was pregnant with his pups. She loved him so much but she was very protective over him since he was a hero wolf and wanted to save everyone all the time. She was scared incase he got killed. "Hello honey!" She said nuzzeling Nick as he walked towards her. "Hello beautiful!" He said nuzzeling back. Fire felt free but yet ashamed, she didn't want to let go of Damon. Boris came running over to Fire. Boris was Nick's best friend. (Before Boris met Balto). "Fire! Fire! I have news!" He said running towards her. "Whats wrong Boris?" She said.

"It's Damon! He said if you ever go near him again he will kill you!" Fire looked Puzzled," What? " She had time to think about it and relized that he had killed a few wolves before she met him. She tryed to breath. The snow flakes where tickling her nose and it made her sneeze. Libby was lying in the cave trying to hear the pups moving. She couldn't wait to give birth to them. Nick couldn't wait either. It was getting dark but it was still snowing. Libby was shivering, it was so cold but Nick cuddled up beside her. Fire had to sleep alone. Her paws where so cold and so was her sore nose. She went to sleep and tryed to stop thinking about Damon.

The next day she woke up. It was still snowing. Nick was already up and had brought back breakfast. "You ok?" Nick said nuzzling her lightly. "Not really, I can't get Damon off my mind.."

Nick grinned " Ahh just forget about him. Guy are useless, who needs em eh?" Fire laughed, "Haha, you do make me laugh sometimes! " Nick smiled," Glad to help." Libby walked out and stood beside Nick. They both smiled at each other. "I'm gonna go hunt." Fire said walking towards the dark woods. Once she entered the woods she could smell something. It was elk. She grinned and kept on walking until she got to the tall tree. She bent down and saw the herd of elk eating whatever grass they could find in the snow. She tryed to pounce on one but tripped. They all got away. "Noo!" She said trying to catch up, but it was useless. She would never catch up. She stopped and caught her breath then sniffed around for more food. Suddenly she heard a bear. "Huh? Is that you Nick?" Fire walked a little closer into the forest. The bear emerged from the giant bushes and started attacking Fire. It scratched Fire on the head, and she tryed to escape it but couldn't. "HELP! HELP!" She called trying to get away. Suddenly Libby's brother Pace came and attacked the bear which gave Fire an escape. She ran away but relized Pace needed help so she went to get Nick. Nick ran and helped Pace attack the bear. Eventually the bear ran away but Nick and Pace where hurt. They had alot of wounds. They went back to the cave. Fire felt really guilty and she nuzzled both Nick and Pace," I am so sorry, I have alot to learn." Nick nodded," Yes you have but we forgive you." Fire smiled and walked back into the cave and lay down. Libby nuzzled Nick and he lay down. Pace nuzzled Libby too and he went into the cave. Pace was more fit than Nick. He could handle more. Fire lay in the cave for the rest of the day feeling bad.

Next day she went out and hunted with Libby. It wasn't really safe for Libby since she was pregnant but she wanted to help Fire. They saw a herd of elk and Libby focused on one. Narrowing her eyes she pounced on it, digging her claws into it. Fire watched closely. The elk fell to the ground and Libby grinned," And that my friend, is how you kill an elk!"

Fire smiled" Cool!" Fire then bent down looking at one particular elk, it was hurt since it fell but it was running slowly. Fire moved swiftly and ran beside it, trying to bite it. She wasn't doing very well but she didn't give up. Her legs where getting sorer but she couldn't give up now, not when she was so close. She just decided to go behind it, pounce and hope for the best. It worked! The elk went down with Fire ontop of it. Her face lit up," I did it! I did it!" She was skipping along feeling proud. Libby smiled," Well done. Now lets eat!" They both grinned at each other. Pace appeared from the bushes and pushed Fire out of the way so he could eat too.

"Hey!" She said trying to push him back. He laughed not giving any eye contact. Libby's ears perked up and she moved her head up looking around. "Whats wrong Libby?" Fire asked slightly worried. Pace laughed again," It will be nothing, Libby always thinks theres danger but there never is any." Fire also laughed and continued eating. Libby tryed to ignore her senses and continued eating. All three wolves heard a roar. "What was that?" Asked Pace feeling slightly scared. Fire felt herself getting lifted up. The bear had picked her up with its teeth. She started screaming as the canine teeth got dug into her body. Pace tryed to attack the bear but the bear was too strong for him. "Don't worry I will help you Fire!"He called still trying to attack the bear.

He needed help but Libby couldn't get involved. "Go get help Libby!" He said trying to turn round. Libby ran off towards the cave.

Meanwhile Nick was talking to Boris. " You should name one of your pups Jake!" Boris said folding his wings. Nick shook his head smiling," Nope sorry! One is going to be called Timmy!"

Boris screwed up his face trying to get his own way. Nick laughed," Haha! It's my pups!" He Lifted up Boris with his nose and Boris ended up on Nick's back. Nick started running around to make Boris angry.

"Hey! Get me down!!" Boris said trying to not fall off Nick. Nick laughed looking round at Boris. "Help! Help!" Libby said , running towards Nick and Boris. "Whats wrong?" Asked Nick looking at Libby. "It's Fire! Shes in trouble! Pace is trying to help but he needs more help." Before she could say anything else Nick was away.

Nick ran up the hill, trying to sniff to see if the bear was near. Suddenly he saw the bear and saw Fire in it's mouth. Nick pounced for it from the back and Pace pounced from the front. The bear dropped Fire. Fire saw her blood on the pure white snow. She ran off into the woods not knowing where she was going and she bumped into Damon. " Damon! You've gotta help me!" Damone grinned and threw her into a tree with his teeth. She banged against it and tryed to pull herself up. Nick and Pace where still fighting the bear but they managed to push it into the river. Both Nick and Pace where injured but Nick was hurt badly. "You ok, mate? You dont look ok." Said Pace feeling concerend.

"Yes. I'm fine thanks." Nick said shaking his head. He heard Fire scream and he ran towards the forest. He saw Damon scratching her on her head, which left a scar. Nick pounced on Damon and they both fell to the ground. Fire was watching them fighting as she was crying. She didn't want either of them hurt. She loved Nick, he was her best big brother ever. She also loved Damon, they had so many fun memories, it didn't matter if he wanted to kill her. "STOP!" She said but they didn't listen. Damon was pinning Nick now and Nick was struggling to get away. Nick had a plan where he could stop Damon but not kill him. Damon laughed "Haha! Your trapped now!" Nick smiled," Not any more!" He bit Damon's neck which made him topple over. Nick bit Damon and Damon bit back. They started scratching each other and then Nick tripped Damon off the cliff but Nick knew the cliff had another cliff beneath it. Fire knew it too and she smiled at Nick licking his wounded face. Meanwhile Libby was with Boris and she was having her pups. Boris helped her and they where all healthy and cute. Boris decided to leave her with them alone so he  went to the crashed boat where Nick was born. Fire smiled at Nick but he didn't smile back. She felt so bad and went over to the caves but Nick
