PART 1

Baleez snarled at the rival wolves. It was beginning to get ugly. The Nome Pack and the White Mountain Packs were literally at each others throats. The alphas and betas stepped forward. Liberty held her head up.

     Monmouth and Ginger walked up. Monmouth and Liberty snarled at each other. The alphas were tensed up, waiting for someone to attack. Baleez and Ginger glared at each other, awaiting one of the alphas to attack. Baleez knew as soon as the alphas and betas started to fight that it would be on.

     Finially, Liberty attacked. she tackled the mush larger wolf to the ground. Baleez and Ginger lunged at each other. The two packs surged into battle.

     Naleez fought off Ginger and whirled,looking for Liberty. Then he spotted her. She was fighting Monmouth hard. The two alphas were tearing at each other. Then Monmouth was on the ground. Liberty ripped out his throat. A gugling sound escaped from Monmouth and he died.

     When Baleez looked at Liberty he was shocked. her beautiful white coat was drenched in blood and her breath was coming in gasps. Baleez ran to her as she collapsed.The White Mountain Pack retreated. The battle was won.

      The next day. Liberty was ok, just really tired and sore. Then the pack got a surprise. Ginger walked up to the pack's base. A dozen Nome Pack wolves snarled at her. She walked up to Liberty. "The White Mountain Pack surender. I will be the new alpha and I dissaproved taking your land from the start."

       " You will stay out of our territory. you will leave us be. Now leave." Liberty kept her vouce low but the new alpha could hear the menace in it." "I will." " LEAVE!"

           Ginger dipped her head and disspaeare into the forest. The Nome Pack burst into cheerful howls. "Victory!" Baleez yelled. The Nome Pack still had its land and its dignity.

PART 2

Baleez rose his head. He smelled the enemy wolf on the wind. He could tell it was female and that she had roamed for a long time. Then he saw her. She was the most beautiful wolf he had ever seen. But Baleez had to follow his orders. He snapped at her, expecting her to run. But, she surprised him. She snapped right back at him. Baleez stopped, suddenly. The she-wolf stopped too. "Who are you and what are you doing in Nome Pack territory?!" Baleez snapped. "I'm Haven and I need a place to stay!" she retorted. Baleez narrowed his eyes at her. Then he switched his tail and said, "Fine. Follow me." The beautiful she-wolf set off behind him. "Who are you and are you the alpha or something?" she said. "I'm Baleez and no I'm not the alpha. I am the beta." he replied. "Oh. Who is your alpha?" she said. "Her name is Liberty. She is the daughter of the great Aniu. But she is a full-blooded wolf. She has a half-brother named Balto. His father was a Husky. Liberty is very small for a wolf. But she makes it up with attitude." he replied. "And who is your omega?" Baleez was getting irratated. he hated when other wolves asked him so many questions. "Brooke's pups." he said. "And who is Brooke?" "She is the niece of Liberty. She looks like her mother, Jenna. Her best friend is Silver. Silver is a full-blooded wolf. Then there is Fuze. His rank is right behind mine. If Liberty retires or dies I will become alpha and Fuze will be beta. If I retire or die he will become beta. If Liberty and I both retire or die Fuze will become alpha and pick a beta." "Oh." she said and didn't ask any more questions. They were there. Liberty was basking in the sun on the great rock. She heard Baleez coming. She pricked her ears, Then she saw Haven. She jumped down from the rock. "And who is this?" the white wolf said. "She claims to be called Haven and needs a home." " Well, Haven. I am Liberty. The red and white female wolfdog is Brooke, my niece. The silver she-wolf is Silver. The black male is Fuze. The wolf who brought you here is Baleez." she finished. "I assume that you and Baleez are mates?" Haven said. Liberty and Baleez froze. Then they burst into laughter. When they finished Libery said. "No. We are good friends but would never make it as mates!"

     That night Baleez settled don to sleep. Haven walked over to him and lay next to him. Baleez glanced at her and drifted off to sleep. When he woke Haven was up. She was talking to Brooke and Silver. The three females were cutting up and having a good time. Baleez decided not to disturb them. He would get Haven alone another time. He groaned and walked over to Liberty. the she-wolf looked at him. "I see you and Haven hit it off pretty well." she said. Baleez blushed. "Naw. She just likes me for my body," he joked. Liberty laughed. "Ok, Romeo you better take Silver, Fuze, and Haven out to hunt with you. Good luck."

      Baleez stalked the caribou. He motioned for Silver to go to its left side and Haven to the right. Fuze blocked the front. Then Baleez exploded. All five wolves rushed forward. The caribou panicked and lashed out. Baleez was slow to move and got the full force of the hoof on his head. he crumpled to the ground. The other four took it down and killed it. Then they ran to Baleez. He was consious, His head was bleeding. Suddenly he vomited blood. Silver and brooke howled for help. Haven just looked shocked. Then Baleez blacked out. When he woke Silver, Liberty, Fuze, and Haven were beside him. Suddenly Brooke jumped up. "He's awake Liberty!" Baleez groaned. "How long have I been out?" he asked. "Almost three weeks," Haven said.

       In a few months Baleez healed. Haven and Baleez fell in love. They became mates. Now they can't wait to have pups of their own.
