Jautri woke up in the bright dawn of morning and got up. He grunted, his wound was healing, but it was still a little sore. He slowly walked out of the den, where he saw Holly and Rhoscoe coming towards him. They both had smiles om their faces, and they whispered something in his ear. He smiled at them and went back into the den. Jautri woke up Jasmine and he took her up to the rock where they made announcements. Jasmine called to everyone, "Wolves and dogs of the Aurora Borealis Pack, please gather around the big rock. We have some news." Jautri heard yawns and eventually everyone came out of the den. When everyone was seated, Jautri spoke to them, " Everyone, we have gathered you together because Rhoscoe and Holly have some news. Please come up, you two." Holly blushed and walked up with Rhoscoe. Rhoscoe spoke to them, "Packmates, Holly and I have an announcement. After talking to eachother we have decided that.....", he took a deep breath and continued, " Holly and I have decided to become mates!" Sirinia and Hazayata smiled and the whole pack cheered. Everyone came up to them and gave them licks on the cheeks. After the crowd left them, Hazayata, Sirinia, Yama, Radulf and Ying came up to them. Sirinia's eyes shone with pride, "Oh Holly. My little pup is growing up. Congratulations! I am so happy for you! Make sure you treat Rhoscoe nicely." Hazayata and Holly's siblings came and congratualted her next, and Jautri watched with a smile on his face. He turned to Jasmine, "They really do love eachother, Rhoscoe and Holly. I couldn't imagine a better match for either of them. I hope they are happy together." Jasmine came and licked Jautri's nose, "Of course they will. I knew for a while that this would happen. But I hope they decide to have pups after the war with Ethal, otherwise their pups might not survive the attack."

Rhoscoe ran into the forest with his new mate, Holly, at his side. Finally, he was mates with her. She had asked him one night when they had went out hunting by themselves at night. He knew that she wanted pups, but she Holly also knew that now was not a good time. They kept on running when Holly stopped him her tracks. Rhoscoe ran over to her, thinking she was hurt, "Holly, what happened?" Holly looked at him, "Shhhhh. I can hear something." Holly crawled on her belly over to a clearing. She ran to hide behind a bush and there is where she saw it. Five Sun Jewel wolves! It was Ethal, Hikari, Pyro, Glow, and a wolf Rhoscoe and Holly had never seen before. He seemed still young, probaly two years old, but he looked strong.  Ethal looked at his mate Hikari, "This looks like one of their hunting spots. I can smell deer and other prey. This would be a good place to attack. I can't believe those dumb wolves and dogs thought we would actually give them three days to prepare! Ha! With that wound I gave Jautri, he woudn't have survived. In fact, they are probaly so heartbroken that they won't have the strength to fight back. We can wipe them out quickly. Tamo! Do you see and good hiding spots to hide in?" The unknown wolf, Tamo, walked a little farther into the clearing. He clearly had very good eyesight, Rhoscoe and Holly could tell from the way his stare was so sharp. Suddenly, Tamo growled, "There are Aurora Borealis members here. In that bush, over there." Tamo pointed with his claw to the very bush that Rhoscoe and Holly were hiding behind. Ethal snarled, "Get them!" Holly and Rhoscoe shot out of the push and ran as fast as they could towards the camp. "We must warn the other! We can't let Ethal attack us unprepared. But we have to be careful", Holly told him. They ran faster and soon they lost Ethal's group.Rhoscoe burst through the camp entrance, "Jamine! Jautri! Come quick! Ethal's pack are on our territory!" Barks of alarm ran though the camp. Jasmine shot out of her den, "Are they following you? How many are there?" Holly nodded her head, "They are following us, and there are  five of them." Jasmine nodded, "Okay, which wolves?" Rhoscoe answered, "Ethal, Hikari, Pyro, Glow and Tamo."Before Jasmine could say anything else, Ethal and his group burst through the camp entrance. Jasmine snarled, as did the rest of the pack. Ethal smirked, "Well, well. Look what we have here. I'm so scared! Not! Jasmine, where is Jautri, the mutt that I injured?" Suddenly a voive came from inside a den, "I'm right here Ethal!" Jautri had walked out of the den and was staring coldly at Ethal and his group. Ethal looked surprised for about a second, but then when back to his menacing look, "So, you found Shojji, didn't you? Not very smart to start a pack and not get a healer is it now? Poor little pack, I feel so sorry for you. Wait, again, I don't! I feel no pity for you Jasmine! I never will again! I have a better mate then you ever could have been! I will kill you right here and right now!" But before Ethal could move, a shape darted forward, and Ethal let out a gasp of shock. Melinda, the gentle pup sitter, had sunk her teeth into Hikari's neck. She snarled, "If you attack any of our pack, Ethal, you can say good-bye to your precious mate!" The Aurora Borealis Pack was just as shocked as Ethal's group. Sirinia stepped forward, "If you don't give us six more days to prepare, Hikari will be no more. This odviously made Ethal give in, "Fine! Just let her go!" Melinda let go of Hikari and went back to her packmates. Hikari ran to Ethal, and his eyes softened at her, but turned mean and angry when he looked at the Aurora Borealis Pack. "I will give you only six days. Only! I will be back!". Ethal nudged Hikari along and they all left, except Pyro. He glared at them, "If you ever touch one of my packmates again, I will personally kill you Jasmine! Don't forget that!"

Later that evening Jasmine called Hazayata, Crystal Dawn,Cyrus and Sirinia to her den. They were all confused. Cyrus came in first, "Alphas, why did you call us here? Is it important?" Jautri nodded and Jasmine spoke, "Yes Cyrus, this is important. As you know we have six days to prepare. But we are now where near ready to fight Ethal and his huge pack. We will be wiped out. I have called you here to discuss a special mission. Crystal Dawn, you will remain here with with Jautri and I to get ready for the battle. Hazayata, Sirinia and Cyrus, you will be leaders of one group each. Hazayata you will be Team 1 with Holly, Radulf, Sonya and Rhoscoe. Cyrus you will be Team 2 with Ying and Melinda. And Sirinia, you will be Team 3 with Yama, Cam and Ryan. I have chosen more packmates for Hazayata because he will be going the farthest." All four of them looked confused, "But where are we going?" Jautri smiled, "You are going across the land to find wolf and dog packs to help us. Hazayata, I need you to go acroos the great water to find the Iron Fang Pack. They are incedibly strong, and you must pay respect to the leaders Sabre and Ivy. They won't take nicely to you if you just barge into their home. Be cautious when you approuch them. And make sure that none of you tell your groups why you are going until you get there. Unless you have to, try to keep it a secret." The three group leaders bowed their heads in respect and walked out of the den.

Melinda came back into the camp after hunting with her packmates. Since Cam had started training with Hazayata, she and Sonya would join in on hunting and patrolling. There were no more pups, and Sonya and Melinda would get a break for a while. Melinda's group came into camp after her, carrying a large deer. They put it down in the middle of the camp and howled. Everyone came out of their dens and came to eat. They sat in a circle around the deer and bowed their heads. Jasmine and Jautri sat in the middle, and Jasmine spoke, "Thank you heavens for the prey that has given it's life so that we may live. We eat this deer in respect and not in selfishness. Thank you." The pack bowed even more forward, and Jasmine and Jautri ate. As soon as they were done the rest of the pack joined in. When everyone was full, Jautri called everyone together to make an announcement, "Packmates, I have some news.  As you all know the battle with Ethal is coming, in six days thanks to Melinda. But we are not going to be defenseless. Jasmine and I are spitting you into groups, and only your group leaders know the true meaning of this mission. Please don't pressure your group leader to tell you. Now, I will announce the group leaders. Team 1, is Hazayata! Team 2 is Cyrus! And Team 3 is Sirinia!" Jasmine then stepped forward, "In Hazayata's group will be Holly, Radulf, Sonya and Rhoscoe! In Cyrus' group will be Ying and Melinda! And in Sirinia's group will be Yama, Cam and Ryan!"

Hazayata ran at the front of his group, proudly. He was so happy that Jautri and Jasmine has chosen him to lead a group. He would make sure he would do his very best. They kept on running when Sonya asked Hazayata, "Hazayata, will you tell us more about your brother?" Hazayata was shocked. How could Sonya know about his brother? He looked at her with anger, but when she looked guilty, he felt sorry for her. "Okay, I will tell you about my brother. Sama was born right after me, and he was very smart. But before I tell you the story, tell me how you found out about him?" Sonya stared at him, "It was a long time ago, and I was babysitting Yama. Melinda had taken the other pups to chase frogs, but Yama wanted to
