Radulf and Crystal Dawn stood still, and Radulf started to growl. He whispered, "It's a female, but it's not Shojji. This is someone else. Wait, there are two of them. Equal in case we have to fight." Crystal Dawn nodded and prepared herself. But then, a a pretty female wolf walked out in front of them, followed by a dark brown and blue-gray male. The female spoke first, "I am Taji. This is my mate Daguerre. We were just leaving the pack." Radulf and Crystal were confused. Radulf spoke, "Leaving your own pack? Why?" Daguerre stepped up, "Because I was never a member. Taji is, and I lived with my brother. But we want a different future, and it is not in this pack. Taji loves me enough to leave her family. But her brother did the same, so she will too. But why are you here?" Crystal Dawn stepped forward. "We have to see Shojji, now! Our alpha male is horribly injured and we need her help. Do you know were she is?" Taji nodded and told them to follow her, "Shojji, you have some visiters. They need your help." A young wolf got up and walked over to them, "Radulf! Is that you? Is this your mate?" Radulf blushed and shook his head, "No, no. Her mate is a wolf named Cyrus. She is too old for me. Anyway, do you know what to do for a heavily bleeding neck wound?" Shojji's eyes grew serious. "Yes, follow me." They followed Shojji until they came across a special flower. Here. This will do it. Chew it into a pulp and smear it across the wound. Do not take it off. It will harden and then you may wash it off. But before you do that, find something absordent and let it soak up the blood. Then put it on." Radulf bowed his head, "Thank you Shojji. I won't forget this."

Meanwhile, Jasmine had fallen asleep beside Jautri. His heartbeat was slowing down and he would soon die. Hazayata, Cam and Ryan rushed into the camp. "Jasmine, Jasmine, what happened!? What is wrong with Jautri?", Hazayata yelped. Jasmine started crying, "Ethal is back! He did this to Jautri. He even has a mate now and he is still bitter. He is building an army and will stop at nothing to wipe us out." Cam gasped and Ryan just stood there. Cam walked up to Jautri, "What are we going to do? If Jautri dies, who will lead us? I wouldn't want you to find another mate to lead with! Jautri can't die! He just can't!" She lay down beside him and started to sob. Sonya and Melinda came out of their den and brought Cam inside. Sonya whimpered,"It's okay Cam. He won't die." But Cam ran back out, "I am not leaving him until I know he will be okay." Melinda whimpered and Sonya sighed. Soon after, Sirinia, Holly, and Rhoscoe ran into camp. Sirinia spoke first, "What happened to Jautri?" Hazayata explained to his mate what had happened. One tear fell down Sirinia's face when the story was over, "No. NO! My son, Radulf, please hurry! Crystal Dawn, make it back in time!" Soon after, Ying, Yama and Cyrus returned home, not knowing what had happened. "Jasmine told them what had happened, and Yama snarled, "How dare they! If I had been there I would have showed them a lesson they would never forget. They will pay dearly for what they did  to Jautri." She lifted her head high and howled the maddest howl anybody had ever heard. Ying joined in, followed by Sirinia, and soon the whole pack, exept Jasmine and Jautri, were howling to Radulf and Crystal Dawn.

Radulf pricked his ears. He heard howling, led by Yama! He turned to Crystal Dawn, "It's the pack! They are waiting for us to return!" Crystal Dawn had the herbs in her mouth, but she smiled at him. They ran on, to get to Jautri. Suddenly, Radulf stopped. Crystal stopped too. Radulf sniffed the ground. They were on the border line to Ethal's territory. Suddenly, 4 wolves jumped out at them. Ethal, Hikari, and two wolves they had never met before. Ethal stepped forward, "Hello Radulf. I don't believe you have met my hunter and beta male. This is Glow, my best hunter. And Pyro, my strong beta male. Both are very good fighters. " He laughed, and Radulf glanced at Crystal. She had hidden the herbs in a bush, so Ethal would not take them. Hikari stepped up,"Leave now or we'll make you. You couldn't possibly take on all four of us?" Crystal growled, but Radulf backed off, "We'll leave. Please let us go peacefully." Ethal whispered a quick few words to Pyro, but then he nodded, "Fine. You may leave. But almost cross our border again, and you'll get a beating." Radulf and Crystal nodded and ran home.

Jasmine was still lating beside Jautri. His breathing had slowed to a few heartbeats a minute. Jasmine licked his cheek, and he opened his eyes, "Jasmine,...... I only have a few more minutes......... Please, find a new mate and lead the pack well." He closed his eyes again, but then Radulf and Crystal ran into the camp. Jasmine jumped up, "Hurry! Do what you have to do? You did find Shojji right?" Radulf nodded and Crystal started the treatment. Within a few minutes, Jautri was standing. "Thank you Radulf and Crystal Dawn. You saved my life."
