Willow: He'll be here.

At that moment they hear Copper's bark and see him coming.

Copper: There coming!

Tod: How long?

Copper: A few minutes.

Hunter: All right. Vixey remember what to do?

Vixey: Yes.

Hunter: Good. Lets get in the trees.

They turn around and walk toward the trees. When they get close, Vixey shrieks in pain and drops to the ground.

Tod: Vixey!

They all gather around her.

Willow: What happend?

Vixey: I think...my water broke.

Copper: What now!?

Hunter: Hold let me think.

Willow think for a minute and then looks at Vixey.

Willow: Vixey, baby, get on my back?

Hunter: What are you doing?

Tod: Be careful!

Willow: Hunter, you guys stay and take care of the dogs. I'll lead the hunter away from them.

Hunter: Are you sure?

Willow: Yes.

Tod: Vixey...

Vixey: I'll be ok Tod.

Tod rubs his nose along her face and Willow looks back to Vixey.

Willow: You ready?

Vixey: Yeah lets go!

They watch the girls leave and get into the trees.

At the same time, Buckeye has three german shepards with him. One of them finds something.

Buckeye: What is it?

The dog moves out of the way and there is a red fox hair on the ground.

Buckeye: Good boy. Lets go!

They shepards breaking into a charge and run ahead of Buckeye. As Buckeye is running, he hears some nosie coming from the bushes next to him. He looks over and sees Willow. But she does not have Vixey on her back.

Buckeye: Well would you look at this. The butt bitter.

He aims his rifle at her and she bolts away.

Buckeye: Damn she's fast! He starts to run for her.

The shepards follow the trail of Tod's hair and go into the clearing. As soon as they do, Hunter, Copper and Tod come out from the other side and charge at the dogs. The shepards are in a state of rage and do not care what is comeing at them. All six of them clash.

Tod is bitten on the tail once but he recovers from that. He mangages to leap on to the dog's back and bite it on the back of it;s neck. Copper pins the dog he is fighting on the ground and tears it's chest open with his teeth. Hunter is shoved on to the ground many times and his opponent gets on top of him. The Shepard tries to reach for Hunter's neck. But Hunter uses his hinde legs and sends the dog flying.

They regroup.

Hunter: You guy's ok?

Copper: Were fine.

Tod: Lets go! We got to get to the river and find the girls.

Willow is runing as fast as she can. She is now carrieing Vixey on her back.

Willow: How you feeling Vixey!?

Vixey: Like I'm goanna die!

Willow: I know the feeling !

They reach the edge of the forrest and end up on the side of the river. They have no where left to run. They look back and see Buckeye aiming his gun right at them. Befor he can even pull the trigger, Tod jumps on to his back and shoves him face forward to the ground. Buckeye tries to reach for his gun. But Hunter comes between him and his gun. Hunter then uses his back leg and pushs the rifle into the river.

Buckeye gets enraged and shakes Tod off of him. He stands us and pulls the same knife that he almost kill Tod with out. Hunter and Tod try to lunge for him. But he points the knife right at them.

Buckeye: So who dies first!?

At that moment Copper leaps on to his back. Copper holds on tight and bites Buckeye on the back of his neck. He keeps holding on as Buckeye falls into the river. Copper jumps off just before that. They all watch as the man that tried to kill them is dragged away and falls down a waterfall. The very same one that Tod fell down and lived.

Copper: It's over.

Hunter: No it's not.

They look to Vixey. Willow sets her down on the ground and Tod joins her.

Vixey: There coming!

Tod: Do any of you know how to do this?

Willow: I've been through this. Give me some room.

Tod give Willow some space and Willow get close to her.

Willow: Ok. Vixey. Take very slow deep breaths.

Vixey does so and she relaxs more.

Willow: Good girl. Now push.

Vixey pushes as hard as she can. The other's look a little worried. After a few minutes, the screaming stops and Willow look back to the guys. She smiles.

Tod: How are they?

Willow: Perfect.

She gets out of the way and there are two little red puff balls being cleaned by Vixey. Tod slowly walks over and looks a his children in amazment. Tod is now the father of one boy and one girl.

Tod: There so beautiful. Just like you.

Vixey: And you.

Willow lays her head on Hunter's shoulder and smiles. Copper does the dame thing.

Tod: He guys come and see them.

They go over and see.

Copper: Oh, Tod I hate to admit it but the bot looks just like you.

They all laugh.

Tod: Yeah, very funny.

Hunter: How you holding up, Vixey?

Vixey: Just fine. But this is a one time deal. I am never going through all that again.

They all laugh.

Willow: How about names?

Tod: I'll choose the girl ok?

Vixey: All right!

Tod think about it for a few minutes and get a name.

Tod: Tweed.

Hunter: Tweed? Where'd you get that from?

Tod: The kindest human I've ever known. The one that raised me ever scince i was young.

Copper: That's a great choice, Tod.

Willow: The boy?

Vixey pauses for a moment and look to the boy.

Vixey: Tod Junior.

Tod: Or T.J for short?

Vixey: Yes.

Hunter: Those are great names.

At that moment they hear a gunshot coming from a great distance.

Tod: Hunters.

Copper: We need to get out of here.

Willow: And go where?

Tod: I know a place.

Vixey: Hunter and Willow? What about you?

Hunter: I dont know the babies are born so there should be a big white....

At that moment a massive white flash appears behind them.

Hunter: Looks like this is it for us.

Copper: Whats going on? Did I miss something?

Hunter: We can't explain this to you Copper. That light will lure humans here. You guys need to go. And so do. Our task is done.

Tod: Hunter, Willow. Thank you for every thing.

Willow: We wont ever forget you.

Vixey: Will we ever see you agian?

Hunter: Maybe one day.

Tod: Goodbye my firends.

Hunter nods his head to Tod and Copper. Willow nuzzles them all. Hunter and Willow walk toward the light and take one look back. They then turn around and walk into the light. After the light fades away and Hunter and Willow are gone, Vixey stands up and puts T.J in her mouth. Tod gets Tweed.

Tod: Let's go.

Vixey: Where are we going?

Tod: You'll see.

All three of them run as fast as they can.

 

HUnter opens his eyes and see Willow resting up against his chest. Just like she was doing before they left. Hunter smiles at her and lightly likes the top of her head. He then look out the window and see that it is still night time.

Hunter: It's like we never left.

Hunter falls asleep.

 

Tod and Vixey sleep side by side with the kids. They are sleeping under Widow Tweed's house. Tod opens his eyes and look up to the floor.

Tod: Widow...I'm home.
